EXHIBITOR INFORMATION Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian s recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations. The DFW Dachshund Club, Inc. and the Fort Worth Kennel Club, Inc. reserve the right to use additional buildings or space within the Will Rogers Memorial Complex. Smoking is not allowed in any building in the Will Rogers Complex. All children MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times. The trial site will be available to exhibitors the day of the trial at 6:30 a.m. The trial committees reserve the right to alter this time depending on weather conditions and/or the condition of the building. Exhibitors are expected to comply with all Club rules as laid out and enforced by the DFW Dachshund Club and the Fort Worth Kennel Club. Dogs may not be exercised outside the trial building on sidewalks or paved parking lots of Will Rogers Memorial Complex, the Museum or the Art Center. Areas to exercise your dog(s) will be designated. Dogs must not be tied to bushes, shrubs, trees or other permanent fixtures. All dogs present must be on leash or confined in crates when not being judged. No un-entered dogs are allowed on grounds. Exhibitors may wear shirts or insignia of their training group. The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all the obstacles safely. Exhibitors are responsible for complete, accurate and legible information on their entry forms; illegible or incomplete entries will not be accepted. Bitches in season are not permitted in the trial, and DFWDC and FWKC will refund all but $10 per day of entry fees for bitches in season. The Trial Secretary must receive written veterinary certification no later than 30 minutes prior to the start of the 1 st class of the day. Refunds will be mailed after the close of the event. Exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Trial Committees, be asked to leave the trial site. In such case, no refund of entry fees will be made. Exhibitors are responsible for being at the gate when it is their turn to run. DFWDC, FWKC, and the Trial Secretary have no obligation or responsibility to provide a public address system or stewards to call or locate dogs that are not present at the ring when required. Dogs may not be left in the building overnight. DFWDC, FWKC, and the City of Fort Worth will not be responsible for the loss of or damage to any dog exhibited, or for possessions of any exhibitor, whether the result of an accident or any other cause. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this show is in the care and custody of its owner or handler during the entire time the dog is in the trial buildings or on the grounds at Will Rogers Memorial Complex. The welfare of an exhibitor s child is assumed to be the responsibility of the exhibitor. It is distinctly understood that exhibitors will exercise control and restraint over their children on the day(s) of the trial. No gasoline or diesel generators are permitted inside any building. The DFW Dachshund Club, Inc. and the Fort Worth Kennel Club, Inc. are not responsible for the actions or products of the caterers at this trial. Crating areas are on a first come, first served basis. No crating inside any building may be reserved or saved by roping off, placing cones, chairs, tables, equipment or any other means you may think to employ. No mats are allowed except downstairs where the crating is on dirt. Exhibitors and handlers will be held responsible for clean conditions in and around their dogs crates. Absolutely no exercise pens will be allowed on the parking lots. A grass area to exercise dogs will be designated near the Arena. Private pens in the Will Rogers Memorial Complex may be used for the holding of dog(s) but not to exercise them. Dogs must be exercised only in the designated areas. Our link for the volunteer sign- up sheet will be emailed out with the Judging Program seven days prior to the trial date. Volunteer duties will not interfere with running your dog. Experienced timers, scribes and gate stewards, please volunteer. Volunteers will receive job notifications after entries close. Training will be provided for those who are inexperienced at their assigned jobs. Volunteers will receive a free lunch and raffle tickets for a workers raffle to be held each day as thanks for helping at the trial. THANKS FROM THE DFWDC AGILITY TRIAL COMMITTEE!! If you have questions about volunteering for the DFWDC trial, please contact Cindi Todd, email: lacimw@sbcglobal.net, 817.485.1075. From Interstate 30 east or west, exit on University and proceed north to Trail Drive. Turn left on Trail Drive, right on Watt and left on Burnet-Tandy to the Watt Arena. For unloading, turn behind the building and continue to the unloading area at the rear of the building. Maps to the trial site and a map of the Will Rogers Memorial Complex will be sent with the judging program. Please allow for extra time due to potential construction delays. TRIAL HOURS ALL TRIALS The building will be open at 6:30 AM. Self-service check-in will begin at 7 AM each day. Judging will begin no earlier than 7:30 AM on all trial days. Exact running order will be determined after entries close and will be provided in the Judging Program. Two rings will be running simultaneously. This set of trials uses electronic timers. CLASSES & TITLES OFFERED Please see the AKC Regulations for Agility Trials for current class descriptions. Dogs must be entered only in Regular Classes or Preferred Classes with no cross-over between classes allowed at the same set of trials. PARKING CHARGE Vehicles that park at WRMC complex will be charged a $10.00 per day parking fee in all of the parking facilities, including the NEW garage providing an additional 1,117 new parking spaces. EVENT CANCELLATION No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. COURSE WALK-THROUGHS AND WARM-UP INFORMATION Handlers in all classes are permitted to walk the course, without a dog, during a walk-through period held prior to the start of the class. The walk-through is restricted to handlers entered in that class only. A warm-up area, consisting of a regulation agility jump, may be provided for exhibitors. The warm-up area is to be used exclusively for warming up the dog and not for training or relieving of the dog. RIBBONS & ROSETTES Both clubs will offer green qualifying strip ribbons for all qualifying scores. Rosettes will be awarded to 1 st through 4 th place dogs in each class/jump height. MACH, PACH and new title winners will receive special rosettes. Dogs must qualify to receive a placement. Awards must be claimed at the trial; none will be mailed. OBSTACLES AND RING CONDITIONS Obstacles meet the specifications for obstacles in the current edition of the Regulations for Agility Trials. Both Standard and JWW rings are 90 x 100 (approximately 9,000 square feet). The surface is packed dirt, and the trial site is an indoor, air-conditioned arena. ARMBAND REQUIREMENT All competitors MUST wear armbands while running. Competitors will not be admitted to the rings without their exhibitor badge(s) visible.

MEASURING & HEIGHT CARD INFORMATION Effective January 1, 2010, exhibitors are no longer required to provide proof to Trial Secretaries that their dog has a valid jump height card as part of the check-in process. Furthermore, this change eliminates the need for a copy of the jump height card to be submitted with an entry form. Dogs without a valid Jump Height Card/Form may still compete; but they must be measured/wicketed by the Judge of Record PRIOR to running in their class and this measurement will be valid for that weekend of trials only. The exception to this requirement is a dog entered in the 24 or 26 height division. However, if a Volunteer Measuring Official (VMO) or an Agility Field Rep is present; ALL dogs without a valid Jump Height Card/Form must be measured at some time during the trial or cluster of trials. This does not preclude having the dog wicketed by the Judge of Record if the VMO or Rep is not available to measure the dog before its first run of the trial or cluster of trials. It is the exhibitor s responsibility to have their dog measured prior to running and failure to do so will result in the cancellation of any qualifying scores. NEW Simplified Jump Height Card Process When filling out the entry form, there is a new section at the top of the form for exhibitors to designate whether your dog has a valid jump height card or if your dog needs to be measured. Please check the appropriate box so that the Trial Secretary knows whether to include your dog on the Dogs To Be Measured List. It is no longer required that you submit a copy of your dog s jump height card with your entry form or show it during day of show check-in. HEIGHT DIVISIONS REGULAR PREFERRED HEIGHT AT WITHERS Handlers may opt to run their dog in a higher height division. Handlers must run their dog in their proper eligible height. Owners are responsible for entering their dog in the proper height division. 8 4 For dogs 11 inches and under at the withers 12 8 For dogs 14 inches and under at the withers 16 12 For dogs 18 inches and under at the withers 20 16 For dogs 22 inches and under at the withers 24 20 For dogs over 22 inches at the withers 26 Dogs may be entered at this height at their owner s discretion AKC MEMBER CLUB SATURDAY, AUGUST 27, 2016 EVENT NUMBER 2016041605 SUNDAY, AUGUST 28, 2016 EVENT NUMBER 2016041606 FORT WORTH KENNEL CLUB (FWKC) OFFICERS President...
