DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER This trial is open to all dogs 12 months of age or older that are registered with the American Kennel Club or are registerable breeds that have AKC ILP numbers, except bitches in season, aggressive dogs, or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury or illness which may affect the dog s physical or mental performance. Mixed breeds and breeds not registerable with the AKC are not eligible to enter. Refer to Chapter 2 of the Registration and Discipline Rules for the listing of registerable breeds that may participate. PRIZES AND AWARDS Rosettes and prizes will be awarded to the 1 st through 4 th place dog in each height division of each class. Prizes will be a dog related item. Qualifying ribbons will be awarded to all dogs receiving a qualifying score. Patches will be awarded to dogs completing titles. Dogs must receive a qualifying score to be eligible for placement ribbons and prizes. TRIAL REGULATIONS Entries must be made on official AKC entry forms or copies and must include the Agreement and Rules. All entry forms must be signed. Unsigned entry forms do not constitute a valid entry. No entry shall be made and no entry shall be accepted which specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Entries cannot be accepted, canceled, altered or substituted after the entries have closed, except as provided in the Agility Regulations (Chapter 1, Section 13). Errors on entry forms: Owners are responsible for all errors made in completing the entry forms, whomever may have made such errors. At the stoplight, turn right into the Civic Center complex The pavilion is located at the rear of the complex NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS The safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering this Trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused or barred from competition by the action of the Trial Committee. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Trial Committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. No entry fees will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. Handlers may opt to run in a higher height division, but not in a division lower than their proper height division. Move-Ups Dogs may be moved up to a higher class at the request of the owner as a result of qualifying for an agility title, provided that the request is made to the Trial Secretary in writing not later than noon on Monday, November 1, 2004 as stated in the Regulations for Agility Trials, Chapter 1, Section 12. Saturday to Sunday Move-Ups will be allowed as long as written request are made to the Trial Secretary no later than 15 minutes after the last dog runs on Saturday. Course Familiarization and Warm-ups ONLY Novice A, Novice B and Novice Preferred dogs and handlers will be given a familiarization period prior to the start of judging on Saturday. During this time, they may perform each of the contact obstacle, on leash or off leash, one time only. If a dog and handler are only entered in Sunday s trial, a familiarization period will be given prior to running on Sunday. Exhibitor Information Please have your dog on lead or crated unless you are on the course. It is the owner/handler s responsibility to maintain control of his/her dog. There will be seating available at the Trial venue. Please feel free to bring your own chairs. Crating and competition will be inside, on loosely packed dirt. Tarps may be used in the crating area. The trial committee reserves the right to move or remove any crates, x-pens, chairs, etc., that are placed prior to the scheduled set up time. NO dogs may be left overnight. There will be NO security present after trial hours. All entries sent overnight or express mail must have the signature requirement waived. Please clean up after your dog at both the Trial venue and the hotel. Any exhibitor failing to do so SHALL be reported to AKC for conduct prejudicial to the sport. Hotels, motels and campsites are considered extensions of the show site. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases and have appropriate vaccinations.
