Senior Puppy A dog between 9 mths & 12 mths on the day of the show. 12-18 Months A dog between 12 mths & 18 mths on the day of the show. Canadian Bred A dog which is born in Canada. TROPHIES MAY 8, 9, 10, 2015 Arnprior Canine Association gratefully acknowledges the following donations of Purina products and a gift from Purina: For each day, Be in Show, Be Puppy in Show, Fir in Each Group, Be Puppy in Each Group Dog Toy offered for Be Baby Puppy in Group and in Show, all 4 shows, offered by Little Angels. CDF offers, for Be Puppy in Show in each show, a $50 gift certificate towards an ad Rosettes will be offered for: Be in Show, Be Puppy in Show, Be Baby Puppy in Show, fir four places in each Group, Be Puppy in each group, Be Baby Puppy in each group, and for Be of Breed where there is an entry of 5 or more in the breed. A rosette will be offered to any dog completing the requirements for its Canadian Championship. PERPETUAL TROPHIES The Pat Kearney Perpetual Be in Show Trophy - The Family of Pat Kearney offers in her memory a perpetual trophy to be awarded to the winner of Be in Show on. Pat Kearney was a founding member of the Arnprior Canine Association, long time Show Chairman, and driving force in the club. A Keeper Trophy will be awarded to the winner. Be in Sweepake - The Schlievert Family will present the Mell Schlievert Memorial Trophy in Memory of Mell Schlievert. A Keeper Trophy will be presented to the winner. CANCELLATION OF ENTRIES Chapter 13, Section 10 of the Dog Show Rules State: An exhibitor has the right to withdraw an entry. Notice of withdrawal mu be in writing and received by the Show Secretary on or before the official closing date as published in the premium li. MOVING A DOG TO THE SPECIALS CLASS Chapter 13, Section 13, of the dog show rules has been amended to allow a dog which is INDIVIDUALLY REGISTERED AT TIME OF CLOSING in the records of the Canadian Kennel Club, and has completed the requirements of a Championship, after the closing date for entries for a show, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to Specials Only, providing the reque for transfer is submitted to the Show Secretary in WRITING at lea ONE HOUR PRIOR TO THE OPENING OF THE SHOW by the owner or handler. All puppies entered in the sweepake mu be entered in one of the official regular classes of the breed show that day. NEW EXHIBITOR ORIENTATION On Saturday morning, May 9, 2015, members of the Arnprior Canine Association will offer a 30 minute seminar to novice exhibitors, explaining show procedures, ring procedures, general show etiquette, a glimpse into the the show world. Non-Member Participation Fee The Non-Member Participation Fee applies to dogs wholly owned by a resident of Canada who is not a member of the CKC; it is not applicable to CKC members or dogs co-owned with a CKC member. In order for the title to be awarded, the non-member will have a choice to either become a CKC member or pay the Non-Member Participation Fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will result in the title being withheld and the dog cannot be moved up to the next level. PERPETUAL TROPHIES Be In Specialty - The Holweit Challenge Trophy A Bronze Study of Ch.Holweit s Robin the Bank, mounted on an oak base, to be awarded to the Be of Breed Winner at the Soft-Coated Wheaten Terrier Association of Canada s National Specialty. The winner will be presented with a Commemorative Study. For permanent possession the trophy shall be won six times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog. The trophy is to remain in the possession of Sylvia and Bill Hamilton or their designate until retired. A small keeper trophy for the Be in Specialty will be provided to the winner. Be Canadian Bred in Specialty - Maureen Holmes Trophy A 16 inch silver revere bowl, will be awarded to the Be Canadian-Bred Wheaten in Specialty. A rosette will also be offered. A donation to the AKC/CHF Health Fund will be made by the donors, Emily Holden and Carol Carlson in the name of the owner and the dog. For permanent possession, the trophy mu be won five times by the same owner, not necessarily with the same dog. The person accompanying the dog mu show the Identification Card before the dog is allowed in the show, and unless a dog is entered officially, it will not be allowed in the show precincts. 11. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have the dog at ringside when the dog s class is scheduled for judging. 12. Diana Edwards Show Services and the Show Committee will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume any liability in the event of an accident, or misfortune, to either dogs, exhibitors or patrons. 13. Conflicts between Dog Show Rules and the New Breed Standards. The Board of Directors of the CKC, has ruled that where a conflict arises between the Breed Standards and the Dog Show Rules that the Dog Show Rules will take precedence. 14. Exhibitors mu abide by errors made in entering their dogs regardless of how or by whom the entry was made. Changes or cancellation of any entry after closing date is prohibited. 15. All dogs mut be exercised in the exercise pens provided for that purpose. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs in any location within the building or on the grounds. 16. If because of riots, civil diurbance or other acts beyond the control of the management; it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. 17. To avoid noise and confusion, there will be no individual dogs called to the ring by loudspeaker. Delays waiting for dogs will not be possible and handlers with several breeds mu arrange for alternate handlers if judging times for their breeds conflict. 18. Ch 8, Section 2, of CSR ates An error in the age specified class, the date of birth, or sex, may be amended on the entry form up to one hour before the art of the show. Any person incurring damage to the outside/exit doors by jamming them in a open position will be held financially responsible for any repairs. ALL FIRE LANES MUST BE KEPT OPEN AT ALL TIMES. CHAMPIONS & CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS SECTION 1: A dog awarded WINNERS at a championship show held under these Dog Show Rules shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5) and the determination of the number of championship points to be credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as provided hereunder.
