Clean kennels and well-kept grounds are vital to ensuring the health and happiness of our animals, and making our shelter an attractive option for potential adopters. With this project, volunteers will assist with essential grounds keeping, shelter cleaning tasks and/or creating enrichment toys. Tasks will include, but are not limited to: laundering animal linens, refilling water bowls, weeding, cleaning kennels, washing & sanitizing toys, et al. Due to the nature of the work, we may not be able to inform you of the exact tasks before you arrive at the shelter. During winter months, maximum group size is restricted to 10. OFF-CAMPUS SERVICE OPTIONS The following activities are available options for groups. These tasks can be completed off site, and delivered to the shelter. Instructions can be found on the last page of this application. If you have another idea, please share. o Make Cat Blankets Cats love a nice, soft bed to lie on, and an attractive kennel draws potential adopters. Applications are approved on a first come, first served basis, with group assignments approved in the order in which they are received. 5. If we are unable to accommodate a group due to space, they will be placed on a waitlist. If a scheduled group cancels, then the waitlisted groups will be contacted in the order they applied. 6. Any volunteers under the age of sixteen (16) are considered Junior Volunteers and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. 8.
