Smith's Fork Campground This is a full service hook up campground within a short driving distance (aprox ¼ mile) to the show site, reserve early, this is a very nice popular campground and fills up quickly during the season. Smith's Fork Park Campground is a full service campground. Each site has electricity, water, and sewer connections. There is a restroom/shower house on site. The campground is open April 15 to October 15. Reservations may be made during the season by calling 816-532-1028. No reservations may be made before April 1 st, 2019. Directions from 169 Highway: Take DD highway east through historic downtown Smithville approximately 1.25 miles to Litton Way (this road goes across Smithville Lake Dam) head north on Litton Way and take the first left, Smith`s Fork Dr. Follow to Campground on left. Camping Fees: $30/day full hookup Registration with the campground host is required before camping. Campground Rules **NO ELECTRICAL CONVERTERS OR PIGTAILS OF ANY KIND ARE ALLOWED** Parking allowed on gravel areas ONLY, no parking on the grass. One camper and one tent per site OR two tents per site. Tents must be placed within 25 feet of the camp pad. Campfires allowed in the fire rings ONLY. No campfires after midnight. The consumption of alcohol will be allowed in campsites only. Alcohol consumption will be limited to individuals 21 years of age or older. Obey campground traffic regulations and observe one-way traffic patterns. Keep the campground clean by placing all refuse in the trash containers. Do NOT put trash in campfires. Pets must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet. No pets allowed in the park buildings. Clean up after your pet. No fireworks, firearms or amplified sound. Satellite dishes must be placed within 10` of the camping unit. No washing of camping RV, towed trailer or towing vehicle. Powered scooters inside the campground must be street ready with brakes (front & back), signal lights, headlight and tail light. 4-6 MONTH BEGINNER PUPPY COMPETITION The American Kennel Club has designed the Beginner Puppy Special Attraction to be an opportunity for puppies to interact with people and other dogs under a puppy friendly judge and show ring. New pure-bred puppy owners are encouraged to enter to explore competing in AKC events. One combined class, not divided by sex, will be offered for dogs that are four (4) months & under six (6) months. There will be a selection of Best Beginner Puppy and Best of Opposite Sex. An AKC registration number or litter number will be required for entries. Exhibitors should plan on opening the mouth of their puppy for the judges. Professional Handlers are not allowed to exhibit in this competition. Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION NOVICE For boys and girls at least 9 years old and under 18 years of age on the day of the show, who at the time entries close, have not won three first place awards, with competition present, in a Novice class at a licensed or member show. OPEN For boys and girls at least 9 years old and under 18 years of age on the day of the show, who at the time entries close, HAVE won three first places in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show, with competition present. The winner of a Novice class shall automatically become eligible, upon notice to the Open Class ring steward, to enter and compete in the Open Class at the same show provided the win is the third first place award with competition and further providing there are one or more Junior Handlers competing in the Open Class. BEST JUNIOR HANDLER The winner of the first place in each of the junior showmanship classes will compete for Best Junior Handler. A minimum of two class winners must be present to compete for this award. MASTER- This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 first place wins in an Open class with competition to be eligible to enter the Limited Class competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC Eukanuba National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to compete for the following year.

ATTENTION EXHIBITORS No entry can be accepted that specifies any conditions as to its acceptance. Entries will not be accepted without fees or signatures. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms and no entry fee will be refunded in event of errors found after closing date. Changes, additions or corrections to entry forms must be received in writing or by telegram prior to the close of entries. Those received by telephone are not acceptable. No entry fees will be refunded if the show cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, act of public enemy, strikes or any cause beyond control of the Club or Show Secretary. Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging and will be released if not needed for further judging. Dogs must be ready for judging. Neither the Club nor the show secretary will be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying the exhibitors or their agents of breed or class judging. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarian s recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations. It is recommended to have on hand a current rabies vaccination certificate for each dog entered in the show. The show giving Club, the Show Secretary, etc. assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers or to any of their dogs or property and further assume no responsibility for injury to children. (Variety) if you are entering a dog of breed in which there are varieties for show purposes, please designate the particular variety you are entering, i.e., Cocker Spaniel (solid color black, ASCOB, particolor), Beagles (not exceeding 13 in., over 13 in. but not exceeding 15 in.), Dachshunds (longhaired, smooth, wirehaired), Collies (rough, smooth), Bull Terriers (colored, white), Manchester Terriers (standard, toy), Chihuahuas (smooth coat, long coat), English Toy Spaniels (King Charles and Ruby, Blenheim and Prince Charles), Poodles (toy, miniature, standard). 2. The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition: Dogs that are Champions of Record and dogs which, according to their owners records, have completed the requirements for a championship, but whose championships are unconfirmed. The showing of unconfirmed Champions in Best of Breed competition is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where the dog completed the requirements for a championship. 3. (Event Class) Consult the classification in this premium list. If the event class in which you are entering your dog is divided, then, in addition to designating the class, specify the particular division of the class in which you are entering your dog, i.e, age division, color division, weight division. 4. A dog must be entered in the name of the person who actually owned it at the time entries for an event closed. If a registered dog has been acquired by a new owner it must be entered in the name of its new owner in any event for which entries closed after the date of acquirement, regardless of whether the new owner has received the registration certificate indicating that the dog is recorded in his name. State on entry form whether transfer application has been mailed to the AKC. (For complete rules, refer to Chapter 11, Section 3.)
