PRESIDENTS MESSAGE JUNE MEETING MINUTES June 9, 2006 HRLRC Meeting Minutes Combined Membership and Board Meeting called to order at 7:45pm. Membership viewed a showing of Pat Hastings "Puppy Puzzle". After which, Stacy and Tom Quake brought in a litter of puppies for the members to go over and evaluate, using the techniques they had just observed in the video. ATTENDING: Laura Reich, Kim Bryson, Cindy Skiba, Casandra Barrett, Kenny Barrett, Cathy Culpert, Michelle VeuCasovic, Pam Nichols, Patty Wayne, Judy Matice, Jessica Tuntland, Joyce Tuntland, Frieda Paison, Delores Richards, Stella Blair, Tom Quake, Stacy Quake, Dave Misaras, Mike Merians, Judy Merians and Denise Misaras. VISITORS: Terri Micallef, Cindy Lewis, Felicia Tuntland, Dahi Hiar, Jim and Sheila Church, Collin Francis and Carolyn Biegalski. Minutes from the May meeting were approved as read. Treasurer's Report approved. President's Report-welcome to all. Membership Chair-no report OLD BUSINESS: SPECIALTY UPDATE- MKC needs insurance papers from our club, Judy Matice will send them. 1

Michelle is working on the Premium Lists and will send them to Ken Vailtes. There will be a building available for breed seminars at the fairgrounds. Dinner will be provided for the Judges at Cabelas on Sat. nite. The fairgrounds will be open at 1:00pm on Thurs. Camping sites will be 25X50 ft. There will be Heart, Cerf and Microchip Clinics available. A 3 Day Parking Pass will be available. Stewards will be provided with lunch and paid $50.00 or the "going rate" for stewarding. Lindsay Strutt will be provided a golf cart at the expense of $3.00 per club as she is judging several breeds. A letter of verification of payment for her airfare will be mailed to Moa Persson. LIVINGSTON YOUTH DAY- July 29th 10-4pm. Michelle will get handouts. Judy Matice will check into an insurance rider for the Youth Day. Members are reminded they need to be there to help. CLUB LOGO- Tabled to July meeting in hopes of more submissions. MARSH BANKS GRC HUNT TEST- SUN. SEPT. 3rd Kim Bryson reported things are coming along nicely. Contact Kim and let her know if you're available to help. ACHIEVEMENT COMMITTEE- checking into AKC approval for non AKC awards. LAB RESCUE- Dani Hiar of the Central Michigan Labrador Retriever Network attended our meeting to let us know 17 dogs were rescued from a breeder in central Michigan, 2 have been placed in homes already. Stacy and Tom Quake have been able to help alot and were encouraged submit a bill for their expenses incurred on behalf of our club. Veternary expenses may be an issue also at a later date. NEW BUSINESS: 2

MEETING CALENDAR for 2007 Jan-no meeting Feb. 2 Mar. 2 April 6 May 4 NON PROFIT INCORPORATED STATUS FOR HRLRC- has not been filed since 1995. Patty Wayne volunteered to fill out all paperwork necessary to bring our club current. The cost for filing all back reports is $25.00 per year and is necessary to protect all club members. Meeting was adjourned at 9:50pm. CLUB SCHEDULE MEETING LOCATION: Meetings are the 1st Friday of every month unless otherwise noted. Board Meetings begin at 6:30pm, General Membership meetings begin at 7:30pm and both are at the LIVINGSTON CONSERVATION CLUB which is on McClements road and old 23 just one mile south of M-59 and one mile west of old 23. Dogs welcome. Please help us keep this wonderful facility and make a good impression- clean up after your selves. HRLRC Club Meeting Dates for 2006/2007: The Board and General Membership meetings will be a combined meeting in an effort to reduce travel time for elected members. If a discussion is necessary for the Board, a separate meeting will be called to conduct club business. The following is a partial calendar of upcoming meetings.
