So I think once we look at all of our salts we will be surprised at how many have some form of gold added decoration. Anything goes - glass, china or any other material. Bob was finally up to some pictures for ebay and I asked him to take a picture of this little guy as I have tried every which way with my phone with no luck - Even Bob had trouble because it is a small bowl and the green is very pale so the decorations show through from the back - He did not make it in time for green - but the enameling on him is gold - The saying written across the front is "Remember Me" - Had to have been done for some special occasion and I would think there would be more out there - It came in a collection I bought and I fell in love with it right away - Love you #54, Judy, and your little green one, Mary.

Page 14 of 68 05:46 PM ET 59 05-02-2016 05:51 PM ET 97.99.247.220 There is something very poignant about Remember Me. Sweet too. I imagine it might have been a gift. 60 05-02-2016 08:37 PM ET While this one is still mine I will show it - Limoges square - Cobalt and gold - Very attractive little salt -- Yes Nancy - it could have been a special present - Funny I do not like monograms but this sweet sentiment - though it might be very personal - strikes my fancy and is okay 61 Debi Raitz 05-02-2016 08:49 PM ET 69.14.123.141 Lots of gold on this dog head condiment set. 62 Debi Raitz 05-02-2016 08:51 PM ET 69.14.123.141 63 Debi Raitz 05-02-2016 08:52 PM ET One of the most beautifully decorated salts of this type I've ever seen.

There's another similar grouping of pink you can just see the start of. Debi - You are right #62 has left me speechless - I got it from Sandy and I'm pretty sure it is in the Compendium. The colors on the robe outlined in gold are gorgeous. I should take bigger

Page 16 of 68 05-02-2016 11:08 PM ET 69.14.123.141 better pictures. I like the bamboo too. Whenever I see those tiny Satsuma ones I always like the one with the bamboo best. Mine today are from Italy Debi, #62 and #66 are absolutely beautiful. The flowers in 66 are marvelous. The debt of the intricate artestry in 62. That's almost too beautiful. It needs an entire room dedicated to it...and I have just the room. Gotta go to OSC and see if I can find it. Don't remember seeing it. I forgot that the Doulton Slater gold swirls would fit this caategory,. And I love the footed salt and the Crown Dresden, Mary. Maybe I'm not such a glassie after all. Two Crown Milano and a Mt. Washington with pansies. I've repurposed an old smoking set stand to hold them. Edited 05-11-2016 01:59 PM Two Mt Washington with the gold Prunus Blossom pattern, one sadly chipped but too sweet to throw away. Perfect use for the smoking stand, Nancy. I do have a couple of match holders, but I'm still in the market for a humidor. lol

Page 32 of 68 148 05-10-2016 11:14 PM ET Very nice display Nancy - but I am confused by your "Royal Doulton with Pansies" -- I am going to have pull Elaine's book and see if I have missed something - Would not be the first time -- Love the Crown Milano - Think I am having second thoughts about having sold the one I had and only keeping one - Oh well a new restart on an old subcollection - lol 149 05-11-2016 08:29 AM ET 151 05-11-2016 12:48 PM ET 97.99.247.220 153 05-11-2016 01:23 PM ET 97.99.247.220 154 05-11-2016 01:55 PM ET 97.99.247.220 155 Well dingley dang - Proves I am not too old yet - I can still learn something - There is a Royal Doulton PANSY pattern and it is stunning - Thanks for keeping my brain functioning one more day Nancy - So if I can't have my salt in one like you - I can maybe sip my coffee - Know the picture is not a salt - but in case anyone else was as dense as me and did not know about the Doulton Pansy pattern this was a very pretty example My slip-up, Mary. Of course I should have said Mt. Washington on the ribbed glass salt with pansies. I got it right on the two little ones, and the chipped one has the Smith Bros. decorating stamp, one reason I keep it. The thing, of course, is that Doulton pieces are china, and the Mt. Washington salts are opaque glass. I think I had Doulton on my mind because I had just recognized 's Slater patent salt as much like one of mine. My mind can hold one thought at a time at best. I'm failing to get a message with photo posted. Is it me or the site? Doulton Lambeth with the gilded circles and additional decoration.
