It is the owner of the dog entered that is responsible for any error in entering his/her dog regardless of how or by whom the entry was made. Please review email confirmations so corrections may be made prior to the closing date to avoid disappointment. HOW TO ENTER 1. Mail a completed entry form to Classic Show Services Make Cheques Payable To: French Bulldog Club Of Western Canada Or ENTER ONLINE AT www.dogshow.ca Telephone entries are prohibited except in such circumstances as the Board of Directors of the CKC may otherwise authorize. Fax/on line entries and/or credit card payment will be accepted when accompanied by authorized VISA or MASTERCARD or AMEX credit card number. Customers charges that are declined will be assessed a service charge of $25.00. Incomplete entries or entries received without fees, or entries received after the advertised closing date will not be accepted. Please mail entries early to ensure that they are received before the closing date. It is recommended that you phone after you fax your entry to ensure that it was received and readable. All NSF cheques will be subject to a $35.00 service fee. Attention Foreign Exhibitors Please note that fees are due and payable in Canadian dollars. Due to consistently fluctuating currency rates, discounted cheques will NOT be accepted. Personal cheques will be accepted, however, they are to be payable in Canadian funds. Post- dated cheques will NOT be accepted. Please DO NOT mark cheques Payable in Canadian Funds or At Par they will not be cleared by the banks. To simplify the process, we urge that you purchase bank drafts or money orders payable in Canadian funds. Your understanding and co-operation is appreciated. Thank-you.

BORDER CROSSING - A Rabies Certificate is required to bring a dog into Canada, Government Regulations require a Certificate prior to entry into Canada. EVENT REGISTRATION NUMBER (ERN) NOTICE All dogs that are foreign born and owned and enter Canada for the sole purpose of entering CKC events will require an ERN. An ERN must be obtained within 30 days of obtaining points, awards or scores to avoid cancellation. If factors beyond your control prohibit this or present a problem, please send a written request for a 30 day extension to the CKC. An ERN may be obtained by contacting the CKC at: (416) 675-5511 or Fax (416) 675-6506. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION (Held under CKC Rules and Regulations) following the conformation classes. Entries MUST be submitted at the Show Secretary s desk a minimum of one hour prior to the juniors event. Judge: TBA Fee: Free CLASSES PeeWee (Unofficial Class) - 4 to 6 years Juniors - 7 to 10 years Intermediate - 11 to 14 years Senior - 15 to 18 years All Dogs must also be entered in the official classes at the Specialty show, but need not be owned by the junior. A flat ribbon and suitable prize will be awarded for First in each class. A rosette and suitable prize to Best Overall handler. Note: PeeWee does not compete for Best overall Junior Council Rep: Pam Legault Junior Handling Number Please note that effective January 1, 2016, in accordance with Section 3.4.1 of the Junior Handling Rules & Regulations, Junior Handlers will be required to apply to CKC Head Office for a Junior Handling Number. Section 3.4.1 Junior Handler with the exception of PeeWees, must apply to CKC Head Office on the appropriate form for a Junior Handling Number within 30 days of competing in their first Junior Handling event. This Junior Handling Number will be used by the Junior Handler for the duration of their Junior Handling career. If a Junior Handling number is not obtained, Junior Handling points earned will not be tracked. The Application For Junior Handler Number is posted on the CKC website under theevents tab, and thenunder Event Forms, Exhibitor, or Event Supplies, Junior Handling. The application can be mailed, faxed, or e-mailed to CKC Head Office and there is no fee.

BABY PUPPY SWEEPSTAKES CLASS The Sweepstakes classes are open to all dogs from 3 months to under 6 months regardless of their place of birth on the day of the show. All dogs must also be entered in the Baby Puppy class at this Specialty. Classes will be divided by sex. PRIZES: Flat and suitable prize will be offered for 1 st to 4 th placement; plus Best in Sweepstakes: Best Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes: 40% of total money received plus a Rosette 35% of total money received plus a Rosette 25 % of all Sweepstakes money collected retained by the Club to defray costs. JUVENILE SWEEPSTAKES CLASS The Sweepstakes classes are open to all dogs from 6 months to under 18 months regardless of their place of birth. All dogs must also be entered in one of the Regular classes at this Specialty. Classes (divided by sex) offered as follows: 6-9 months Male/Female, 9-12 months Male/Female, 12-18 months Male/Female PRIZES: Rosette and suitable prize will be offered for 1 st to 4 th placement in each class; plus Best in Sweepstakes: Best Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes: 40% of total money received plus a Rosette 35% of total money received plus a Rosette 25 % of all Sweepstakes money collected retained by the Club to defray costs. VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES CLASS The Veteran Sweepstakes is open to all dogs 7 years of age and over, regardless of their place of birth. Spayed or neutered veteran may compete provided they are also entered in one of the Regular classes or for Exhibition only. Classes will be divided by sex as follows: 7-9 years Male/Female, 9 years and over Male/Female. PRIZES: Rosette and suitable prize will be offered for 1 st to 4 th placement in each class; plus Best in Sweepstakes: Best Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes: 40 % of total money received plus a Rosette 35% of total money received plus a Rosette 25 % of all Sweepstakes money collected retained by the Club to defray cost.

Junior Puppy Senior Puppy 12 18 months Canadian Bred Bred By Exhibitor Open Specials Only Veteran Exhibition Only Stud Dog & Get Best Baby Puppy Brood Bitch & Progeny Altered Breeder/Owner/Handler Brace Note: The Open Classes will be divided by Colour (Brindle Pied & White Fawn) CONFORMATION CLASSIFICATIONS The following official regular/non-regular classes (divided by sex) will be provided JUNIOR PUPPY - dogs 6 months & under 9 months on the day of this specialty SENIOR PUPPY - dogs 9 months & under 12 months on the day of this specialty 12-18 MONTHS - dogs 12 months & under 18 months on the day of this specialty CANADIAN BRED - dog born in Canada, Champions of any country excluded BRED BY EXHIBITOR - for dogs owned and handled in the ring by the Breeder Best Bred By Exhibitor in Specialty must be entered in the Bred By Exhibitor Class OPEN CLASS - for all dogs (NOTE: Divided by colour: Brindle Pied & White Fawn) SPECIALS ONLY - for dogs that have earned all the Championship points required for CKC Championship status at the time of closing of entries VETERANS CLASS - two classes (7-under 9 years, 9 years + on the day of the Specialty) separated by sex. Best Veteran in Specialty must be entered in one of the Veteran classes. NON-REGULAR/UNOFFICIAL CLASSES All dogs must be entered in one of the regular classes or for exhibition only. BABY PUPPY CLASS - dogs 3 months of age and under 6 months of age on the day of this specialty. Dogs entered in this class DO NOT COMPETE FOR POINTS EXHIBITION ONLY - All dogs entered in this class shall be listed in the catalogue with the same particulars as dogs entered in regular competitions. Dog entered in this class may not compete in any Regular class but may enter and compete in Non-Regular classes if provided for in the premium list. STUD DOG & GET CLASS - This class shall be comprised of the Stud Dog and 2 or more of his get. All dogs comprising the get need not be the property of the same exhibitor. Get must be entered in a regular class. BROOD BITCH & PROGENY CLASS - This class shall be comprised of the Brood Bitch and 2 or more of her progeny. All dogs comprising the progeny need not to be the property of the same exhibitor. Progeny must be entered in a regular class. BRACE CLASS Shall be for two dogs (not necessarily of the same sex) OWNER/BREEDER/HANDLER EXHIBITOR - Breeder/Owner/Handler is a free class. Competition shall be limited to dogs handled at all levels.

Prize List (which remain with the club) are offered for BEST PUPPY IN SPECIALTY in memory of Thomas Anwyll will be presented for photos only The Thomas Anwyll Perpetual Trophy. SEXUALLY ALTERED CLASSES Eligibility into this class shall be limited to dogs over six months of age which have been sexually altered by veterinary procedure. Dogs entered in this class do not compete for points. This class will be judged upon the completion of Best of Breed. Two classes ONLY will be offered as follows: Altered Male or Altered Female First place Altered Male/Altered Female will receive Flat and suitable prize and will be declared Best Altered Male and Best Altered Female in Breed. The Best Altered Male and the Best Altered Female will then compete for Best Altered in Breed and will receive a rosette and suitable prize. SILENT AUCTIONS The FBFC will have an on-site Silent Auction table. All donations will be gratefully accepted. Copies of the Conformation Rule book are available from: The CKC, 400 200 Ronson Dr., Etobicoke, ON M9W 5Z9 or online at www.ckc.ca 15.1 Championship Points 15.1.1 A dog awarded Winners at a confirmation show shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5) and the number of championship points credited to a dog awarded Winners shall be as provided hereunder 15.1.2 The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points awarded Winners shall be as follows: DOGS COMPETING* POINTS AWARDED 1 2 3 to 5 6 to 9 10 to 12 13 & More 0 1 2 3 4 5 *includes the dog awarded Winners In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified, dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge shall not be included in the calculation for championship points. 15.1.3 If a dog awarded Winners is also awarded Best of Breed at the show, then all dogs competing in the breed, including Specials Only, shall be included in the total. 15.1.4 If a dog awarded Winners is also awarded Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, then all dogs of the same sex including those competing for Specials Only shall be included in the total. 15.1.5 If a dog awarded Winners is also awarded Best of Winners, then all dogs defected directly or indirectly in the breed shall be included in the total. 15.1.6 If a dog is awarded Winners only, then all the dogs of the same sex in the class competition shall be included in the total. 15.1.7 The number of championship points to be credited to a dog awarded Winners shall be determined by the highest award earned and calculated as per this section. Clarification: Example of directly or indirectly defeating: If the Winners Bitch is awarded Best of Opposite Sex but not Best of Winners, the Best of Winners Male shall be deemed to have indirectly defected the Special Bitches, and is thus entitled to add them to the number of dogs and bitches defeated. 15.1.8 In addition to championship points allocated at the breed level, a dog awarded Best of Breed which also places in the regular Group competition shall be credited with the following additional points provided that a dog was defeated at the Group level. 15.1.9 A dog may not be credited with more than 5 championship points in a single show. 15.1.10 Permission shall be granted a club or clubs to hold shows in such a way that any dog may earn three (3) sets of championship points on the same day, provided that one or more of those set of points is awarded at a Specialty for that breed or group. 15.1.11 A dog awarded Winners which also places Best in Show at an all-breed conformation show shall be credited with 5 championship points inclusive of any points earned at the breed or group level. 15.1.12 In order for a dog to be recognized as a Champion and its owner provided with a Championship Certificate, the dog must: (a) earn at least 10 championship point under at least 3 different judges and, (b) be registered in the records of the CKC, have an Event Registration Number (ERN), or have a Miscellaneous Certificate Number (MCN). (c) have earned at least one 2 point win either at the breed or group level. 15.1.13 The Board interprets the words earn at least 10 championship points under 3 different judges to mean: (a) 3 or more Winners awards at not less than 3 different shows, under 3 different judges at the breed level; (b) each of the 3 Judge s awards must, be one or more championship points won at the winners, best of winners, best of breed or group placing; (c) all points required for championship status may be earned at winners, best of winners, best of breed or group placing. 15.2 Grand Champion (GCh) The title of Grand Champion may only be earned after the completion of the CKC Conformation Championship. Points for this title are only accumulated after the completion of the Conformation Championship and do not include the points earned in attaining the Conformation Championship. All required points are to be earned at the breed level. To be awarded a Grand Champion title, a dog must attain a minimum of 20 points which must include a minimum of two (2) wins of at least two (2) points each. Points may be gained at breed, group or Best in Show/Specialty level. Only the highest points earned at a single show are carried forward. In order to obtain a Grand Champion title, a dog must obtain at least two (2) points after 12 months of age. In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified, dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge shall not be included in the calculation for Grand Champion points. The title of Grand Champion shall not be awarded retroactively and all points towards this title must be achieved after the date of January 1, 2013. Grand Champion Excellent (GChEx) The title of Grand Champion Excellent may only be earned after the completion of the CKC Grand Championship title. Grand Champion Excellent (GChEx) The title of Grand Champion Excellent may only be earned after the completion of the CKC grand championship title. Points for this title may be accumulated at any time after the completion of the CKC grand championship but does not include the points earned in attaining the conformation championship or the grand championship. A minimum of 100 points, which must include one (1) Best in Show or a Best of Breed at a breed national specialty (where a minimum of 10 dogs have competed) plus three (3) Group 1st or three (3) breed specialty wins. Grand Champion Excellent point system Win Points First in group or Best in Specialty Show 5 Second in Group or Best of Opposite Single Breed Specialty Show 4 Third in Group 3 Fourth in Group 2 (Note: No points are acquired if no other dog is present in the group) Best of Breed 1 (To earn the breed point, at least five (5) dogs must be shown at breed level) Best in Show or Best in National Specialty Show 10 Only the highest points earned at a single show are carried forward. For example, a dog that wins first in group and then wins Best in Show, earns 10 points, not 15. The title of Grand Champion Excellent shall not be awarded retroactively. However, dogs that have been awarded the Grand Champion title prior to January 1, 2013, will be awarded the Grand Champion Excellent title on application to the CKC. Additional Requirements To attain a Grand Champion Excellent title, a dog must have been awarded a CKC performance title from any CKC event. A CGN, Herding Tested certificate or Chase Ability Program title are not considered performance titles for the awarding of this title. Non CKC Member Participation Fee Canadian Kennel Club Non Member Participation Fee (April 2011) A non member participation fee will be charged to a resident of Canada who is a non-member of the CKC The non member participation fee is paid in any year a title is earned and covers all titles and dogs owned by that individual In order for the title to be awarded, the non member will have a choice to either become a CKC member or pay the non member participation fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will result in the title being withheld and the dog cannot be moved up to the next level All Premium Lists will carry a note stating the fee applies only to dogs wholly owned by non member residents of Canada and is not applicable to CKC member. Move Ups 8.9 Moving a Dog to Specials 8.9.1 A dog that is registered in the records of the CKC or that has a Miscellaneous Certificate Number (MCN) and has completed the requirements for a championship in accordance with these rules but at the time of the closing of entries for show has not received confirmation of the title, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to Specials Only providing the transfer is submitted to the Show Secretary in writing by the owner or handler at least one hour prior to the opening of the Specialty. 8.9.2 If it is established that a dog transferred to Specials Only has not completed the championship requirements, all awards will be cancelled and all ribbons and prizes won shall be forfeited. The owner may also be subject to disciplinary action.

8.9.3 When one or more all-breed and/or specialty shows are held on the same day, in the same venue, the request for moving of class dogs to specials must be made a minimum of one hour prior to the scheduled start of the show for which the dog is being moved up to. The Show Secretary shall amend the judge s book and the marked catalogue, which is to be sent to the CKC with the requests attached to the appropriate entry forms. 8.9.4 No dog may be transferred to another class except as provided in sections 8.2.5 and 8.9.1 4.7 Indignities to a Judge 4.7.1 A judge officiating at a show held unde these rules shall not be subjected to indignities of any kind 15 during the process of the show. It shall be duty and obligation of the club holding the show to see that this rule is effectively carried out. 11 UNSPORTSMANLIKE CONDUCT 11.1 It shall be deemed unsportsmanlike conduct if a person during the running of or in connection with an event abuses or harasses a judge, show official or any other person present in any capacity at the event. 11.2 Any handler who displays unsportsmanlike conduct or who is seen to kick, strike or otherwise roughly Man handle a dog at any time during the holding of the event, may be expelled from the show by the Conformation Show Committee. 11.3 The judges shall also have the authority to expel a handler from a show if they observe unsportsmanlike conduct on the part of the handler or see the handler kicking, striking or otherwise roughly manhandling a dog while the event is in progress. It will be the duty of the judge to report promptly to the Conformation Show Committee the expulsion of a handler. 11.4 The Conformation Show Committee shall investigate, at once, any instance of alleged unsportsman like conduct on the part of the handler, or any report that a handler has been observed kicking, striking or otherwise roughly manhandling a dog. If the Conformation Show Committee, after investigation, determines that a handler is in violation of this section, and that the incident, if proven, would constitute conduct prejudicial to the sport or the CKC, it shall exercise its authority in accordance with the Complaints section of these rules. 12.4 Failure to Compete 12.4.1 Except for Puppy in Group or Show, an owner or handler shall be subject to disciplinary action for withholding a dog from competing for higher awards for which that dog is eligible. Any dog so withheld or absent will result in the cancellation of all awards won at that show (unless the dog is excused by the Show Superintendent). 12.4.2 Should a dog be marked absent in an official class, it may still compete in an unofficial or non-regular class at the same show. RULES GOVERNING THESE SHOWS AND TRIALS THE CLUB RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REMOVE ANY PERSON FROM THE SHOW. THE SHOW SUPERINTENDENT SHALL HAVE FULL CONTROL OF THESE SHOWS AND TRAILS, WHICH WILL BE GOVERNED BY CKC RULES. ANY PERSON EXECUSED BY THE SHOW SUPERINTENDENT OR VETERINARIAN FOR ANY REASON SHALL NOT, COMPETE IN ANY CLASS FOR ANY AWARDS FOR THE BALANCE OF THE SHOW. THE SHOW COMMITTEE WILL USE DUE CARE AND DILIGENCE FOR THE WELFARE OF DOGS AND EXHIBITORS, BUT WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR, OR ASSUME ANY LIABILITY IN THE EVENT OF ACCIDENT OR MISFORTUNE TO EITHER DOGS, EXHIBITORS, SPECTATORS OR VENDERS.

EXHIBITORS MAY BE ASKED BY THE SHOW SUPERINTENDENT FOR PROOF OF THIRD PARTY LIABILITY INSURANCE. FAILURE TO PRODUCE MAY RESULT IN DISMISSAL FROM THE SHOW GROUNDS. DOGS MUST BE ON THE GROUNDS 1 HOUR PRIOR TO THE JUDGING OF THEIR CLASS. THE OWNER OF A DOG ENTERED IN THESE SHOWS IS ENTIRELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY ERROR IN ENTERING HIS/HER DOG REGARDLESS OF HOW OR BY WHOM ENTRY IS MADE. DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES ON THE SHOW GROUNDS OR WITHIN THE SHOW BUILDING WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE OBEDIENCE RINGS EXHIBITORS AND HANDERS WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR DOGS AND EQUIPMENT LEFT AT THE SHOW GROUNDS. DOGS TO BE EXERCISED IN DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY, NOT IN VICINITY OF RINGS. ALL RECREATIONAL UNITS WILL HAVE BUCKETS UNDERNEATH FOR THEIR SINK DRAINS, ANYONE FOUND DISCHARGING WATER ON THE GROUNDS WILL BE REMOVED BY ORDER OF THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT, AND MAY BE SUBJECT TO A FINE. PLASTIC SHEETING MUST BE USED UNDER ALL EXERCISE PENS AND UP THE SIDES TO PREVENT A DOG FROM URINATING BEYOND PEN. THE EXHIBITORS ARE EXPECTED TO MAINTAIN A CLEAN AREA. PLEASE BE CONSIDERATE WHEN UTILIZING THE BUILDING FACILITIES. NO DOGS ARE PERMITTED IN THE WASHROOMS THE WELFARE OF ANY CHILDREN IS DEEMED TO BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE GUARDIAN OR PARENT. PLEASE EXERCISE CONTROL AND RESTRAINT OVER YOUR CHILD S BEHAVIOR. THE CLUB IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR LOST OR STOLEN PROPERLY FROM EXHIBITORS OR VENDORS/CONCESSIONS. CHECK THE LOST PROPERTY AT THE CLUB TABLES. THE CLUB RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE AN INDIVIDUALS ENTRIES, FOR JUST CAUSE THE CLUB RESERVES THE RIGHT OF RESTRICTING EXHIBITORS SPACE EXHIBITORS AND HANDLERS ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THEIR DOGS AND EQUIPMENTS LEFT AT THE SHOW GROUNDS I (we) acknowledge that I (we), all exhibitors, handlers and patrons, know and abide by the CKC Dog Show Rules, and that I am (we are) familiar with their content. I (we) agree that the Club holding this show has the right to refuse this entry for cause, which the Club shall deem to be sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of the Show and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prize money, ribbons or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the Fraser Valley Dog Fanciers and French Bulldog Club of Western Canada, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or show secretary and the owner or lessor of the premises and any employees of the aforementioned parties, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of a dog while in or upon the show premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim, and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss of a dog by disappearance, theft, death or otherwise, and from any claim for damage or injury to the dog, whether such loss, disappearance, theft, damage or injury be caused or alleged to be caused by the negligence of the Club or any of the parties aforementioned, or by the negligence of any other person, or any other cause or causes. I (we) hereby assume the sole responsibility for and agree to indemnify and save the aforementioned parties harmless from any and all loss and expense (including legal fees) by reason of the liability imposed by law upon any of the aforementioned parties because of bodily injuries, including death at any time resulting therefrom, sustained by any person or persons, including myself (ourselves), or on account of damage to property, arising out of or in consequence of my (our) participation in this show, howsoever such injuries, death or damage to property may be caused and whether or not the same may have been caused and whether or not the same may have alleged to have been caused by negligence of the aforementioned parties or any of their employees or agents, or any other person.
