The event is being sponsored to support our wounded troops, recognize their families and to honor their service and sacrifice in defense of our country as well as emphasizing the preservation of the shooting and hunting traditions of America. The event will feature Hollywood personalities participating in team trap, sporting clays, handgun and rifle events. Come enjoy a unique experience and compete alongside the troops and celebrities. Each participant can take pride in knowing through their participation they are sponsoring a Wounded Warrior Back Pack for a returning wounded service member. Help Us Help Our Heroes Each ticket purchased by a participant for the "Shoot For The Troops" event provides a backpack for one of our men and women seriously injured in the line of duty. The Stars And Stripes Foundation, in conjunction with the Wounded Warrior Project, wishes to thank you for your help in continuing our ability to assist of our wounded warriors and showing them that their sacrifices are remembered and appreciated. WWP BACKPACKS: Each backpack is configured in both a male and female version. The backpack contains essential personal care items, including comfortable clothes (t-shirt, PT shorts, under garments, hooded sweat shirt and socks), toiletries, CD player with head phones and telephone calling cards, to severely wounded service members arriving at military trauma centers. Additional Features Include: Guinness World Record attempt for the most clays targets shot in a one hour time frame attempted by Dan Reeves and Tom John.
