DOGS ELIGIBLE TO ENTER This event is by invitation only. To be invited to participate, each dog must be ranked in the top 25 dogs by OTCH points or ranked in the top 3 of its breed by OTCH points. If there are more than thirty (30) dogs that qualify in a specific breed, then we will take a ratio of the total and invite that amount. In addition, the top 4 dogs from each of the Obedience Regional Events will be invited based on the qualification criteria as written in the Obedience Regulations, Chapter 13, Section 2. AKC Regional Competitions. Dogs must meet the minimum entry requirements in order to participate at this event and must also meet the eligibility requirements specified in the Obedience Regulations. Entries CLOSE Friday, February 15, 2013 at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time No entries will be accepted by phone or hand delivery. Express mail & overnight entries must include the signature waiver allowing them to deliver the package. All entries will be confirmed via email within 24-48 hours of receipt, please be sure to provide your email address. Any inquires may be directed to Lisa Strickland at Lms2@akc.org Illegible entries will not be processed and will be returned to the exhibitor. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry. A twenty-five ($25.00) dollar collection fee will be added to the amount of each returned check. EXHIBITOR CHECK-IN Exhibitor Check-In will be held on Friday, late check-in will be held Saturday morning 6:30 am-7:00 am. Please refer to your Exhibitor Confirmation Letter for Check-In times and locations! CRATING INFORMATION Each crating space will be approximately 3 x 5, per dog entered. Each exhibitor will be required to display an information card on the outside of each crate; card(s) will be supplied in the exhibitor check-in packet. The information card must have your name and emergency contact information (cell phone# or other). Un-entered dogs will only be allowed in the facility if they can share a crate with an entered dog, or if their crate can be stacked on top of an entered dog s crate within the 3 x 5 space. No additional crating space may be used for un-entered dogs. No Ex-pens will be allowed in the crating area. Dogs cannot be left overnight at the event. Please refer to your Exhibitor Confirmation Letter for Crating Set Up time and location! 3

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS ENTRIES NOT ON THE OFFICIAL AKC ENTRY FORM OR PHOTOCOPIES OF THE ENTRY FORM without the Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the Official AKC Entry Form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. ERRORS ON ENTRY FORMS Owners are responsible for errors on entry forms and no entry fee will be refunded in the event of such errors or cancellation of entries after trial has closed. RETURNED CHECKS - A charge of $25.00 will be applied for each returned check. TELEPHONE, HAND DELIVERIES AND UNSIGNED ENTRIES cannot be accepted. ENTRIES RECEIVED WITHOUT FEES will not be accepted. EXPRESS DELIVERIES must be sent with the delivery signature waived. NO ENTRY SHALL BE MADE AND NO ENTRY SHALL BE ACCEPTED, WHICH SPECIFIES ANY CONDITIONS AS TO ITS ACCEPTANCE. ENTRY FEES shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of Trial Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management it is impossible to open or to complete the trial, no refund of entry fees will be made. REFUNDS for cancellation of entries prior to the closing date for entries of the trial will be made within 45 days after the closing date for the event. No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, an act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. No entry fee will be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused, or barred from competition by the action of the Trial Committee. ENTRY FEES FOR BITCHES IN SEASON will be refunded if the Trial Secretary is notified in writing at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the event on Friday, March 15, 2013. Vet statements must be provided to the Trial Secretary in writing to receive a refund. Entry fees will not be refunded for bitches in season if not received before March 15, 2013. Refunds for bitches in season will be made within 45 days after the event. EXHIBITOR CHECK IN TIMES / FACILITY ACCESS. All exhibitors are required to check in during the times and locations specified under the heading "Exhibitor Check In Times" specified in this premium list. ALL DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH at all times when on trial grounds except when competing on the course. Dogs may NOT be on retractable leads or long-lines while inside the buildings. SCENT DISCRIMINATION - ARTICLES each dog will be performing the Scent Discrimination exercise in two separate rings each day. Please be certain to bring a sufficient number of articles with you. Articles may not be reused plastic bags will not be provided. This club does agree to arbitrate claims as set forth on the Official AKC Entry Form for this event. 6

CATALOG ADVERTISING Take the opportunity to advertise your club or company, or send special wishes to this year s competitors in a memorable and visual way by placing an ad in the catalog for the AKC National Obedience Championship. The Exhibitor's Catalog will be 5.5 x 8.5. Send camera-ready ads only please, in finished size as stated below. Do not forget to include the correct orientation: Full page must be in portrait orientation and half page ads must be in landscape orientation. All ads must be in black and white. You may submit your ad in.jpeg or.tiff file formats (minimum 300 pixels/inch). If you are sending photos separately, the photos should be scanned to finished size and a minimum of 300 pixels/inch. If mailing, please send only high quality prints for scanning purposes with copyright release. Photos will be in black and white.
