The BCLRC will use due care and diligence for the welfare of dogs and exhibitors, but will not be responsible for, or assume liability in the event of an accident, or other misfortunes, to either dogs, exhibitors or patrons. If, because of a riot, civil disturbance or other acts beyond the control of management, it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry will be made. By attending this event, competitors and spectators acknowledge that the British Columbia Labrador Retriever Club (1995) Society, test officials and landowners do not accept liability for any loss, damage, or injury incurred by exhibitors, dogs or spectators. DIRECTIONS TO SHOW GROUNDS The Maple Ridge Fairgrounds are now accessible by the Golden Ears Bridge. Note that toll fees will apply. From Hwy #1, exit North on 200 th Street. Merge right onto 201 st Street and continue North over the Golden Ears Bridge. Exit northbound on to Maples Meadow Way. Merge right onto Lougheed Hwy (Hwy #7) and travel East. REGULAR CLASSES The following OFFICIAL CLASSES are offered and will be divided by sex: Junior Puppy 6 months of age and less than 9 months Senior Puppy 9 months of age and less than 12 months 12 to 18 Months 12 months of age and less than 18 months. Canadian Bred For dogs born in Canada. Champions in any country excluded Bred by Exhibitor For dogs owned and handled in the ring by the breeder/co-breeder Open Shall be for all dogs. Divided by colour - Black Chocolate - Yellow Veterans For dogs over 7 years of age as of the date of the show. Veterans Class will not compete for points but will proceed directly into the Best of Breed competition. Spayed and neutered dogs may be entered. Specials Only This class will NOT be divided by sex. A dog may be entered for "Specials Only" and such dog shall compete for Best of Breed award. If eligible it must compete for the award of Best of Opposite Sex. Exhibition Only dogs entered in this class may not compete in any Regular class, but may enter and compete in Non- Regular classes and/or Parades if provided for in this premium list. Exhibition Only Puppies 3-6 months of age may be entered in Exhibition Only 3-6 Months provided the owner also has (3-6 months) a dog entered in a Regular class. These puppies may not participate in in any Regular, Non-Regular Classes or Parades. NON-REGULAR CLASSES All dogs must also be entered in a Regular Class or for Exhibition Only Brace Shall be for two dogs, identical ownership is no longer required Sire & Get Shall be for Sire and two or more of his Get. Dogs entered in this class must also be entered in a Regular Class or for Exhibition Only. Dam & Progeny Same as for Sire and Get Class UNOFFICIAL CLASSES Gun Dog Field Dog All dogs must also be entered in a Regular Class or for Exhibition Only For dogs who have received a CKC Working Certificate, Working Certificate Intermediate, Working Certificate Excellent, Junior Hunter, Senior Hunter or Master Hunter Title by the close of entries. For dogs that have received a placing of 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, reserve certificate of merit or certificate of merit in a CKC junior, qualifying or open stake at a licensed field trial. JUVENILE SWEEPSTAKES All dogs six months and less than eighteen months of age on the day of the show shall be eligible to compete. All dogs entered in Sweepstakes must also be entered in a Regular Class at this show. Classes will be divided by sex. Over 6 months and under 9 months Over 9 months and under 12 months Over 12 months and under 18 months VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES All dogs seven years of age or older shall be eligible to compete. Dogs must also be entered in a Regular Class or for Exhibition Only. Spayed or neutered dogs may compete. Classes will be divided by sex. Over 7 years of age and under 9 years of age 9 years of age and under 12 years of age 12 years of age and older. It shall be the duty and obligation of the club holding the show to see that this rule is effectively carried out. No person may approach a judge, directly or otherwise, orally or in writing, to favour his entry. Disciplinary action will be taken against any person who violates this rule or against a judge who fails to report any contravention of this rule to the CKC within 14 days of the act. No person shall enter or exhibit a dog under a judge where that judge has owned, conditioned, sold, handled held under lease or boarded within 6 months prior to the date of the show at which he officiates as a judge. This rule shall apply regardless of whether the judge benefited in any way from any of the aforementioned activities. It is the responsibility of the owner to see that this rule is not violated. CKC POINTS SCHEDULE A dog awarded Winners at a conformation show shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5) and the number of championship points credited to a dog awarded Winners shall be as provided hereunder. The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points awarded Winners shall be as follows: Dogs Competing* 1 2 3-5 6 9 10-12 13+ Points Allocated 0 1 2 3 4 5 *Includes the dog awarded Winner To earn a Canadian Championship, a dog must earn at least ten championship points under at least three different judges, and be individually registered with the Canadian Kennel Club, or have a C.K.C.
