Kenosha County Fair Association Inc. 2016 Premium Book Addendum The following are changes, additions, and/or substitutions that supersede the Premium Book valid for 2015 2016. Please read and be familiar with any potential changes that would affect a Department you plan to exhibit in. GENERAL FAIR INFORMATION CHANGES: The Kenosha County Fair will close at 7PM on Sunday, August 21, 2016. Release times will be as follows: At 7PM, exhibitors may walk their exhibits out. At 8PM, vehicles will be allowed on the grounds to load exhibits. NO vehicles will be allowed on the Fairgrounds until 8PM. The only exception to this will be the animals that were sold on the Livestock Sale being shipped to market by Livestock Sales Team arranged trucking. OPEN CLASS: OPEN CLASS DEPARTMENT 103 SWINE Class 1. Boar, junior yearling class deleted for 2016 Class 2. Boar, senior pig class deleted for 2016 OPEN CLASS DEPARTMENT 10 5 GOATS 1. Day of judging: Thursday, August 18, 2016 following the Beef Show in the Show & Sale Ring, approximately 3PM. OPEN CLASS DEPARTMENT 116 NATURAL SCIENCES 1. Hour of Judging Tuesday 8PM JUNIOR FAIR General Information Changes: There will be no 4-H Merit Awards Ceremony on Sunday, August 21, 2016 at 6PM.

JUNIOR DEPARTMENT 3 SWINE The 2016 Swine Show is a terminal or all kill show. Any hog that is on the fairgrounds will be bound for slaughter. 4. Any swine project member (3 rd grade and older) may enroll in the pork project. However, if they don t meet the age/grade requirement for selling at the auction, they may only show gilts (breeding stock) at the fair. They may not show market hogs. In short, only swine project members in the 5 th grade or above may show market hogs, but any swine project member may show breeding stock or any class added to accommodate 3 rd and 4 th graders. 5 th graders and any first year project member in 5 th grade or above may only sell one market pig. Champion female overall & Champion boar overall (2016 Awards) To prove ownership, youth must provide evidence that junior exhibitor is part of family or farm operation as legal owners on registration papers as verified by letter from Breed Association or notarized statement signed by parent/legal guardian, junior exhibitor and notary public. Litter recording or individual registration will be accepted if they comply with the specific Breed Association regulations or rules. The identification and ear notching indicated on the registration certificate must correspond with the animal to be exhibited. All pigs must comply with the acceptable ear notch system. Purebred market hogs must have an individual registration paper. Market hogs without purebred papers will show as crossbreds. Only original registration papers accepted. Division Letter: J Carcass show Premiums: Places and Premiums to be determined and information will be given at the Spring Swine Project Meeting. Division Letter: M Jackpot Show This show is open to project members ages 3 rd grade and over must meet all eligibility requirements. There is a $5.00 entry fee per pig and is payable to the Pork Project at the time of weigh in. Limit 1 pig per member. Weight limits follow Premium Book (220 lbs. 280 lbs.). All Rules and Regulations are the same as the Market Show. This show is open to Gilts and Barrows. Pigs are shown by weight, no breed classes or divisions. This is strictly a Market Show. All pigs entered in this show will be shipped to market on Sunday of the Fair. The owner/member will be paid for the pig selling at current market price. No packing houses or private

Division Letter: L Swine Herdsmanship This division is deleted for the 2016 Fair. JUNIOR DEPARTMENT 5 GOATS 1. Day of judging: Thursday, August 18, 2016 following the Beef Show in the Show & Sale Ring, approximately 3PM. JUNIOR DEPARTMENT 9 DOG CARE AND OBEDIENCE 3. All dogs must have required shots. 7. Dogs in Beginners or CGC non-regular classes are not eligible for High Scoring Dog in trial. 9. BITCHES IN SEASON will be judged LAST in Obedience and Rally Obedience. Report to the ring steward that you are there BUT DO NOT BRING YOUR DOG TO RING SIDE until the judge or steward notifies you. Any other Plant Collection JUNIOR DEPARTMENT 16 NATURAL SCIENCE/ENVIRONMENT/RECYCLING Rule # 3. Affects all poster entries in this Department. All entries must be mounted on either a full sized poster board (28 x 22) or a half sheet poster board (14 x 22). No foam core board is allowed. Entries not on either the full sized or half sized poster board will be disqualified. Division Letter: C Fishing To enter the casting contest, you must be a member of the fishing project and have attended at least two (2) meetings/outings/events during the project year. Casting contest to be held Friday, 5PM at the Fish Pond, Kenosha County Fairgrounds. Awards and prizes donated by the Kenosha County 4-H Fishing Project. CHILDREN S PARADE 2016 On Friday, August 19, there will be a parade for children ages 14 and under which will begin at 10:30AM sharp. Entrance into the Fair is free for children in costume until 10:30AM. The parade is held at the Southeast end of the Fair near the Fair Office. On-sight registration begins at 9:30AM. All entries must be registered by 10:15AM to participate. Prizes in each class are: First place ribbon - $5.00, Second - $4.00, Third - $3.00. All participants receive a ribbon and $1.00. All participants will receive a goodie bag at the finale of the parade. Prizes will be given out immediately after the parade end. The classes are as follows:
