AGREEMENT I (we) agree that the club holding this event has the right to refuse this entry for cause which the club shall deem sufficient. In consideration of the acceptance of this entry and of the holding of this event and of the opportunity to have the dog judged and to win prizes, ribbons, or trophies, I (we) agree to hold the AKC, the event-giving club, their members, directors, governors, officers, agents, superintendents or event secretary and the owner and/or lessor of the premises and any provider of services that are necessary to hold this event and any employees or volunteers of the aforementioned parties, and any AKC approved judge, judging at this event, harmless from any claim for loss or injury which may be alleged to have been caused directly or indirectly to any person or thing by the act of this dog while in or about the event premises or grounds or near any entrance thereto, and I (we) personally assume all responsibility and liability for any such claim; and I (we) further agree to hold the aforementioned parties harmless from any claim for loss, injury or damage to this dog. These fees are collected by the show-giving club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class, the recording fee is to be collected on the first entry only (AKC Rules Chap. 11, Sec.2) Safety of the dogs is our primary concern. By entering the trial, exhibitors acknowledge they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport. It is expressly understood exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Trial Committee, be asked to leave the Trial site. In such case, no refund of any fee paid will be made. Any incidents of dog aggression resulting in harm to other dogs or people that occur within the show grounds will be reported by the Show Committee to the proper authorities. All dogs must be on-leash, crated, securely penned, or otherwise under physical control at all times when not competing. Crating space is limited; please crate in designated areas only and observe marked areas for seating. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by veterinarian or judge, or barred from the competition by action of the Trial Committee No entry fee will be refunded if the trial cannot open or be completed by means of riot, civil disturbances, extreme and/or dangerous weather conditions, fire, or an act of God, emergency, act of public enemy, or any other cause beyond the control of the organizing committee. Refunds: A refund of 100% of the entry fees will be given for any reason, if the request is received by the Trial Secretary, in writing or emailed, prior to closing. Entry fees shall be refunded for bitches in season or injured dogs unable to compete, less $5.00 per trial entered, when a letter from your veterinarian is presented before 8:00 a.m. the first day of the trial. No refunds given under $10 for your wrong addition. Checks returned from your bank will incur a $20 charge. Dogs are not required to be at the Trial until scheduled time of judging; however, exhibitors are responsible for being at the ringside when it is their turn to run. Judges need not wait for any dog holding up the class. Please check in with the Gate Steward. ENTRIES: Entries must be the AKC specified size and include signature, fees, and agreement on the back or they will be returned to the exhibitor. Entries are opened upon receipt and exhibitors are responsible for complete, accurate, and LEGIBLE information on entry forms as well as correct fees; illegible or incomplete entries will be returned. SITE INFORMATION Trial Hours: SAT / SUN - 1 hour prior to the first class to 30 minutes following the conclusion of the last class, Eastern time. Both rings are fully gated and will be on TURF over TracRoll and ¾ cushioned mats. There is heated, indoor crating. X-pens and crates may be left over night, but the GLKC will not be responsible for personal articles left at the site. No dogs may be left over night. No overnight vehicle parking is allowed. All handlers must pick up after their dogs. Anyone witnessed not cleaning up after their dogs will be requested to leave and no refunds will be given. DIRECTIONS TO THE SHOW SITE From the north...take I-65 to US 231 (Exit 193) at Wolcott; follow signs for US 231 S to SR 25, turn right. Go 1.8 miles, turn left in the driveway in front of the cream colored building. From Indianapolis area... I-65 (or US 52) to SR 28, turn West (left) to US 231, turn North (right) and continue north to SR 25, turn left (SR 25 South). Go 1.8 miles, turn left to building parking lot. From the south...take US 231 to SR 25, turn left (SR 25 South). Go 1.8 miles, turn left to building parking lot. From the west...take SR 25 to the town of Shadeland. Just past the gas station and Arni's pizza and CR 250 W, look for a cream colored building, turn right into the driveway in front of the building. You may park anywhere on all sides of the building.
