NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS THE SAFETY OF DOGS is our primary concern. By entering these trials, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport, and that their dogs are familiar with and able to perform all obstacles safely. THE TRIAL WILL BE OPEN each day from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. RETURNED CHECKS do not constitute a valid entry fee. A charge of $25.00 will be made for each returned check. Entry fee: $22.00 first class each dog each day and $13.00 additional class (as 2 nd or 3 rd run), same dog, same day (includes $3.50 first run and $3.00 each additional run AKC recording fee). Makes checks payable to DTCSP. Jr Handlers (under 18 at time of trial, AKC Jr #, running dog owned by self or immediate family member) reduced entry fees will be $18 first entry, $10 2 nd /3 rd for same dog, same day (still includes same recording fees).. Express mail entries must include signature permitting them to be left at the secretary s address without recipient s signature. ENTRY FEES SHALL NOT BE REFUNDED in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of Trial Committee. If because of extreme weather, riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or to complete the trial, no refund of entry fees will be made. ERRORS ON ENTRY FORMS Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, and no entry fee will be refunded in event of such errors or cancellation of entries after trial has closed. JUDGES ARE NOT REQUIRED TO WAIT FOR DOGS. The owner of each dog is solely responsible for having it ready at ringside when it is to be judged. The Club has no responsibility for providing service through a public address system or stewards or runners for the purpose of calling or locating dogs that are not brought into the ring when required. If handlers have a ring conflict and so inform the gate steward, every effort will be made to accommodate you. TRIAL COMMITTEE WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE for, nor assume any liability in the event of an accident or misfortune to either dogs or exhibitors participating in this show. ELECTRONIC TIMERS may be used for all classes OBSTACLES: Obstacles will conform to the requirements in the current edition of the AKC Regulations For Agility Trials. BITCHES IN SEASON are not eligible to participate. There will be a refund of entries due to bitches which come in season after trial has closed, provided that the owner gives notice in writing to the trial secretary no later than one half hour prior to the start of the first class of the day of the trial. Subject to $4.00 fee per class. Refunds will not be issued for any other reason ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ENTRIES will be mailed as soon as practicable after trial closes, and will include confirmation notices and judging schedule. ALL DOGS MUST BE ON LEASH AT ALL TIMES EXCEPT WHEN IN THE RING OR IN THE DESIGNATED WARM-UP AREA. Exhibitors are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior, may, at the discretion of the trial committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such cases, no refund of any fees will be made. All dogs present must be held on leash or confined to their crates at all times except when in the ring or when in the designated agility warmup area. All exhibitors must pick up dog waste everywhere on the show grounds. The site will be monitored and offenders will be asked to leave. In such cases, no refunds will be made. MOVE-UPS: Dogs may be moved up at the request of the owner as a result of qualifying for an agility title, provided that the request is made to the Trial Secretary in writing. (EMail is acceptable.) All move-ups for the weekend must be received by the trial secretary no later than Monday, May 6 2019 at 6PM. Day to day move-ups will be accepted over the weekend. No moving down or changing or height after closing except as specified in Chapter 1 Section 21 of the AKC Regulations For Agility Trials. This trial is open to all dogs fifteen (15) months of age or older that are registered with the American Kennel Club or that have AKC Limited Registration, Purebred Alternative Listing/Indefinite Listing Privileges (PAL/ILP) or an AKC Canine Partners listing number, or approved Foundation Stock Service (FSS) breeds. Bitches in season, aggressive or blind dogs or dogs suffering from any deformity, injury or illness which may affect the dog's physical or mental performance are ineligible to participate. HEIGHT DIVISIONS: Exhibitors are responsible for entering the proper height divisions. In the Regular classes, dogs may be entered at the jump height for which their measurement qualifies them or a higher jump height, if the exhibitor chooses. In the Preferred classes, however, dogs must run in the jump height for which their actual measurement qualifies them. REGULAR PREFERRED HEIGHT AT WITHERS Handlers may opt to run their dog in a higher height division. Handlers must run their dog in their proper eligible height. SITE INFORMATION Crating will be indoors on mats. Lunch will be provided for workers there are numerous fast food restaurants within a few minutes of the site as well as many casual dining options. Water/soda available for a small donation. Please do not park in front of the Gymnastics facility Our potty area is in the rear of the building. Do not allow your dog to potty in the grass in the front of the building or near any of the other businesses. No crates will be allowed in the ring area (Unit A) Dogs may not be left unattended in the building A warm up jump will provided on the same turf surface as the ring Chairs will be provided ring side for spectators. INSTRUCTIONS Handlers whose dogs measure into the 8 through 20 regular jump height divisions may opt to enter in a higher or 24-choice height division for all Regular titling classes, but not in a division lower than their proper height division. Dogs who measure into the 24 regular jump height division may not enter 24-choice. Dogs entered in the Preferred classes must compete at the required jump height and may not compete in a jump height division higher or lower than their proper height division. All dogs that have not been officially measured for an Agility Jump Height Card may still compete; however, they must be measured by a Judge of record, an Agility Field Representative, or a Volunteer Measuring Official, prior to running. If measured by the Judge of record, that measurement will be valid for this trial or back-to-back trials only. If a measurement is necessary, it is the exhibitor's responsibility to have their dog(s) measured prior to running. Dogs listed in the AKC Canine PartnersSM program may be eligible to enter all-breed AKC agility trials at the club s option.
