YOU MUST DRIVE SLOWLY when entering and leaving the property!! 10 Km/hr MAXIMUM! Anyone that does not obey this important safety rule will be asked to leave. Check in will be at RING 2 and 3 in the back agility field. EVERYONE MUST CHECK IN UPON ARRIVAL!
Judge's Briefing will be at 930am followed by a walk though with first dog on the line at 10am. Agility Order of Classes: Esteemed Judge Sherri Gourlie Novice Standard (there are NO WEAVES at this level) Excellent Standard Steeplechase Excellent JWW Novice JWW (there are NO WEAVES at this level) All juniors will be running one Standard, Steeplechase, and one Jumpers with Weaves. Judge Sherri will brief each course and rules and answer any questions you have, so ask away kids. All novice juniors will be assigned an agility mentor to help them walk courses. Your mentor can also be in the ring when you run! Excellent level juniors can have a mentor walk the course with them, but that mentor cannot be in the ring when you run. MOST IMPORTANT RULE: Have fun with your dog and your new agility junior handler friends!!! Special Agility Awards: There will be ribbons for all levels: Parent Assisted > 6, Pee Wee 6-8, Junior 9-11, Intermediate 12-14, and Senior 15-18. There will also be rosettes for Top Aggregate score and Top overall Novice Junior and Excellent Junior Important Notes: In an effort to reduce our impact on the environment, we will no longer be providing bottled water. Bring your own reusable water bottle and fill up at one of our water stations on the property. If you have reusable water bottles at home collecting dust, PLEASE bring them and donate to the bottles we keep on site for folks that forget to bring them. THANK YOU!! Please be sure to bring the following: Treats and a toy that your dog loves. Novice class is allowed to treat in the ring at any stationary position (eg. Table and contact zones) **PLEASE DO NOT DROP TREATS!** a crate for your dog to stay in when it's not your turn you are welcome to bring a shade tent too. a water bottle and dish that can be filled at our water station out back a chair for everyone in your family sunscreen and bug spray good runners and clothes with pockets Lunch: We will be having a 30 minute lunch break at noon or approximately after Steeplechase. Please confirm, at check in, what you would like for lunch. You will have the choice between a hamburger, hot dog, or a veggie burger and freezies. PLEASE LET US KNOW OF ANY FOOD ALLERGIES IMMEDIATELY. Please also let us know how many people will be with you so we can have food ready for them too. If each family could bring a side dish that would be GREAT!! If you can t bring one a donation towards side dishes would be much appreciated. We will also be doing a very special junior handler banner during the lunch break!!!! We are so excited to commemorate this day!

Agility Sport League @ the Red Barn! Sport league takes place one Monday morning (10am 1pm) and one Saturday morning (9am 12pm) a month. There are 3 courses for practice. You may run the course and/or train in the ring in a trial-like atmosphere. This is a FANTASTIC training opportunity in a non-competitive way with a very supportive group of people. Directions to the Red Barn Event Centre: 8464 County Road 27, Barrie, ON L4N 9C4 Please do not use address in GPS, use these GPS coordinates: lat 44.344860 long -79.741025 From the 400: Take the Essa Road exit. Turn west on Essa (sign says you are going south). Turn right at Ardagh Road. Follow Ardagh to County Road 27. Go South on County Road 27.(aka Town Line Road) Property is on the west side of the road down a long driveway. There is a private residence at the front of the property. From Hwy 27: When traveling North on CR 27 you must turn left shortly after passing through the town of Thornton. Look for the 20 th Sideroad on your left and then the 10 th Line on your right, that s your cue to slow down. Then you will see a small sign on your right that shows you must turn left to stay on CR 27. Turn left on CR 27 and continue north. After passing Mapleview Dr. W. you will go down a big hill, the Red Barn is on your left.
Please read the following rules: In order to make everyone s visit a safe and enjoyable one, we have just a few rules: 1) PLEASE drive slowly down the long laneway. Do not let your dogs out in the front of the property nor anywhere near the house as this is a private residence! 2) Only park in the designated parking area. There will be signage. 3) Dogs must be on leash at all times except when competing in the ring or using the off leash area. No exceptions. 4) Not all dogs love other dogs. Please keep your dog under control and out of other dogs faces, even if your dog is not dog aggressive. 5) Please pick up your dog s waste. 6) Please clean up after yourself. There are waste containers for your trash. 7) No smoking anywhere on the trial site. 8) Please do your best to keep barking to a minimum. 9) Be nice to our judges and ring crew. Remember if you want to be treated with respect, give others the same respect. 10) If there is anything we can do to make your trial experience better, please let us know. 11) Last but not least, have fun! Agility is a team sport. So please leave prong collars and other correction gear at home. Remember we enter the ring as friends and leave the ring as friends! GOOD LUCK, RUN CLEAN and HAVE FUN!!!!
