Permission has been granted by Performance Scent Dogs, Inc. for the holding of this Scent Work Event under PSD Rules and Regulations. The PSD Rulebook can be found at www.performancescentdogs.com Please review it before entering and trialing. FUN FACTS ABOUT PSD *Pick and choose what classes are right for your dog * Videotaping allowed * Earn legs toward titles * Competitor feedback encouraged * Watch and root for other competitors * Enter more than one dog * Turn any search at any time into training by asking the judge the location of the hide * Spend time with your dog in a welcoming atmosphere» Spread the word about what an amazing activity scent work is for all kinds of dogs «Come and have FUN with your dog! Who can compete in a trial? Any and all dogs that are 10 months or older, on the day of the trial or the Target Odor Test (TOT), are eligible to compete. All dogs must have their current Rabies vaccination and other vaccinations recommended by your veterinarian. Do I Need to Register with PSD? PSD registers dogs not people. A $30 registration fee is good for the lifetime of the dog and can be done instantly on-line. How do I register my dogs with PSD? Please visit www.performancescentdogs.com or mail your $30.00 registration fee (per dog) payable to Performance Scent Dogs. Please include your information (Name, Address, Email, Phone) as well as your dog s information (Name, Breed, date of dog birth). Performance Scent Dogs, Inc. PO Box 401026 Cambridge, MA 02140 How many dogs can I enter? : A handler can run multiple dogs in TOTs at any trial/match. At this trial, each handler can run one dog in each class including duplicate classes. 2 nd & 3 rd dogs in the same class can run FEO. What if I don t pass the TOT? You can still play!! Dogs must pass a Target Odor Test (TOT) for Birch in order to compete in the Novice level of the Standard Division, and pass a TOT for Anise and for Clove to compete in the Advanced level. However, if you do not pass you are still allowed to enter the trial as FEO (For Exhibition Only) for the day.

My dog has a Nose Work title from a different organization, do I have to pass a TOT? If you already have passed an odor test in another scent work organization, you do not have to take the TOT. Dogs with a NW3, SDDA Excellent or UKC Level 5 title may skip the Novice level and start PSD at the Advanced level. Please send a copy of your test results to info@performancescentdogs.com in order to register. Can I watch other competitors? Yes you can watch, either after you run or you can watch a different level compete. Can my friend videotape my searches? Yes! And you may post them anywhere you like. How do I enter this trial? All entries must be made on the PSD website. Entries are on a first-received basis. Entries close on May 8, 2019. After entering online you may choose to mail a check instead of paying online by credit card by choosing Pay Later. Please note that each day is considered a separate trial. To enter both days you will have to click on the link for the individual dates and enter each day separately. If paying by credit card instead of check, you will be charged for each day in a separate transaction. Please note- If paying by mail, your check must be received no later than 7 days after your online entry or before trial close date, whichever comes first, in order to hold your spot in the trial. Please make checks payable to Sunshine K9s and mail to: Sunshine K9s LLC, 3228 Cove Lane, Louisville, TN 37777 There will be a $25 fee for returned checks. Do not make checks payable to PSD. Awards: Rosette placement ribbons will be awarded for 1 st -3 rd place as well as new titles. Ribbons will be awarded for Q s in all classes, including TOTs. We are excited to offer special recognition for those dogs displaying consistency and stamina over the course of a single trial day. We will be offering the coveted Iron Nose Award each day to dogs that qualify in all 6 classes! The Iron Nose is awarded to any dog that can Q in each class offered at any level or mix of levels. (TOTs and FEO runs are not counted toward qualifications for Iron Nose awards). Collars: Any collar is allowed on the grounds except scent spraying collars. Only a flat, or martingale collar or leashes attached to a dead ring or harness are permitted to be used during a search. No hanging tags on collars (may be on harnesses) while searching. All dogs must be leashed at all times, except during an off-leash search. Crating: All dogs must be crated in or next to your car. There is no indoor crating at this site. Parking: Parking is in a large grassy field in front of the Girls Dorm. There is NO SHADE, so please bring shade cloths, fans and other items to keep your dogs cool and comfortable. Please watch for cones or signs indicating an area is off limits for parking. We will have a separate area for those wishing to run their vehicles or generators. RVs: There is space for a limited number of RVs to park during the trial day at this site. If you plan to arrive in an RV, please contact Rosana Dropkin immediately to see if there is still room and to discuss logistics. No overnight RV parking at the trial site. Spectators are invited to come and watch a PSD trial or a match providing there is room for spectators at any given search area. A competitor may request that there be no spectators present. Volunteers will help our trial run smoothly. We need Timers, Gate Stewards, Score Runners, and others. No Experience Required! No need to give up a day-volunteers get to run first in their class if needed. I offer a point system for volunteers for my trials- for each full day you volunteer, you will earn one point. If you volunteer for half a day, you will earn half a point. For each full point earned, you will get to register for one class for free at a future trail hosted by

Sunshine K9s. This point system does not apply to someone who is volunteering at the trial as part of their training to be approved as a PSD judge. Thanks in advance for your help! Donations: A gift basket/gift bag will be raffled off to raise funds for this camp. Please support this fund raiser by purchasing a raffle ticket or making monetary contributions in cash or check. Food: There are limited dining options in the area- Dominos, McDonalds & Subway. But the camp is offering to have lunch for us! They are willing to set up a Sub Bar on Saturday (make your own sub) and Pizza on Sunday. Each day s lunch will include a drink (sweet tea and lemonade) and a cookie for $6 per person. This fee is an extra fee, separate from the registration. If you would like to participate in the Camp Lunch, please email me so I can give the camp a head count. Include how many days (one or both) and how many people. Please bring cash or a check to pay for the lunch on trial day. All proceeds go directly to the camp. Facility: The camp is a rustic camp. Outdoor searches may be on asphalt, gravel or grass. There may be steps to and from some of the search areas. The site is hilly, so please be prepared to deal with steps and inclines on asphalt, grass and gravel. Please wear appropriate footwear. Please be respectful of this wonderful facility and pick up after your dog. Smoking: There is NO SMOKING at this camp, including e-cigarettes. Bathroom: There are bathrooms in the Girls Dorm in front of the parking area. Dogs In Need of Space: The parking area is large and there is plenty of room to spread out. A red bandana is strongly recommended for reactive and dogs in need of space but please give all dogs space. Please remember a red bandana indicates the dog may need space from other dogs or people. Volunteers will be onsite to help escort participants to and from the search areas. 24h Emergency Vet Animal Emergency & Specialty Center, 865-693-4440 10213 Kingston Pike, Knoxville, TN 37922 Dog Friendly Hotels There are many dog friendly hotels in nearby Knoxville, Alcoa, Maryville and surrounding areas.
