HIT Elite Awards At the completion of the second obedience trial, the dog with the highest score of both trials will receive the Poodle Club of America Sterling Silver Medallion. The dog with the second highest score of both trials will receive an AKC Obedience Medallion. When the same dog is entered in more than one class, only the highest score will be used for determining top award in trial. The same dog cannot win both medallions. Ribbons Regular & Optional Titling Classes Awards will be offered as specified in Chapter 1, Section 2 of the Obedience Regulations. Dog refers to either sex. The request for a transfer must be in writing and presented to the Trial Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the trial. A wait-list will be established in order to fill openings created by entries that are withdrawn prior to the event closing day. Obedience classes will run in jump height order from Tall-Small. All entries must indicate class A or B and a jump height in classes that require jumps. Entries that do not include A or B and appropriate jump height will be returned as incomplete. Lunch will be available on site. Crating: Set-up will not be available on Friday. The building will open Saturday at 7:00 AM. Crating space is limited. Please provide your own chairs and crates. Free admission / Free parking. Exhibitors are responsible for cleaning up after their dog(s). Any exhibitor failing to do so may be excused without benefit of refund if the Show Committee deems the exhibitor to be in violation of this requirement. Crating space is limited. There will be no smoking in the building. Please dispose of all trash in the proper manner. The judge is not required to wait for dogs. It is the responsibility of the owner/handler to have the dog at ringside when required and without being called. All dogs present must be held on a leash, or confined to a crate except when being judged. Exhibitors should follow their veterinarians recommendation to assure their dogs are free of internal and external parasites, any communicable diseases, and have appropriate vaccinations It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Event Committee, be asked to leave the show site. In such case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. The host club, Clantyre Show Secretary Services and its agents, employees, etc. will assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors or handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children. Entry Fee Information Please note: There are 4 separate event numbers, 2 obedience and 2 rally. You must pay the fee for the first entry of the dog in EACH event even though they are on the same day, as they are considered separate events. Please include the jump height(s) on the entry form. UDX, RAE & RACH entries: Please check the box on the entry form for UDX (obedience) or RAE (rally) or RACH (rally). Dogs entered in this class will be entered in both Utility B and Open B (obedience), Excellent B and Advanced B (rally), Excellent B, Advanced B and Master (RACH). Once the limit has been reached in either class, any subsequent UDX/RAE/RACH entries will be placed on the waiting list. E-mail confirmations will be sent as soon as the entry is processed. Just include your (legible) e-mail address on the entry form. All entries must indicate class A or B and a jump height in classes that require jumps. Entries that do not include A or B and appropriate jump height will be returned as incomplete. Telegraph, telephone and unsigned entries cannot be accepted. Entries not on an official AKC entry form and photocopies of entry forms without agreement and rules on the back of the official AKC entry form are NOT ACCEPTABLE. Entries received without fees will not be accepted. Returned checks or declined credit cards do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a $30 collection fee to the amount of each returned check. PLEASE make your entries correct and legible. Illegible entries cannot be processed and will be returned to the exhibitor. Owners/Agents are responsible for errors on entry forms. (Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 6). Each Owner/Agent listed on the entry form and/or individual responsible for the dog at the show is bound by the Certification and Agreement on the front and back of the entry form regardless of who may have completed and submitted the form. An AKC Recording Fee of $.50 first entry only and an AKC Event Service Fee of $3.00 per entry will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show, Obedience Trial or Tracking Test. An AKC Recording Fee of $3.50 will be required for each first entry, $3.00 for each additional entry in any Licensed or Member Club Rally Trial. All Recording and Event Service Fees are paid to the American Kennel Club. There is no Recording Fee or Event Service Fee for Junior Showmanship, Sweepstakes, Futurities, Brace/Team, Multi-Dog Classes or Special Attractions. (Rules Applying to Dog Shows, Chapter 11, Section 2) Entry fees will not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified or excused by the Judge or Veterinarian, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee. If because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the show giving club, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refunds will be made. REFUND POLICY: Bitches in season are not permitted to compete in obedience trials. The club will refund all but $10.00 of the entry fee for bitches in season that are unable to compete for that reason. Refund requests must be accompanied by a dated, signed letter on official business letterhead from your veterinarian stating the reason that your dog cannot compete. The Trial Secretary must be notified no later than one half hour prior to the start of the first class in the trial. E-mails, phone calls and non-letterhead notes will not be considered. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Event Committee, be asked to leave the show site.
