2017 AMERICAN KENNEL CLUB AGILITY INVITATIONAL DECEMBER 16 & 17, 2017 V2 10/19/2017 Dear AKC Agility Invitational Exhibitor, Congratulations on being part of AKC s 12 th Agility Invitational competition! We are looking forward to an exciting event weekend in Orlando, Florida this year. The AKC Agility Invitational and AKC Junior Agility Competition are combined with the AKC National Championship presented by Royal Canin, AKC Obedience Classic, and AKC Juniors Classic. As an exhibitor, you will have the opportunity to watch all of these events, visit the Meet the Breeds booths, plus there will be a wonderful selection of shopping with many vendors. Orlando in December has lovely weather - usually in the mid 70 s with lows in the mid 50 s. Remember, it can be cool in the mornings and evenings so bring a jacket. It will be a fun weekend! Please carefully read all of the information below: WHERE IS ALL THIS INFORMATION FOUND??? AKC has an abundance of information online, including the event s Information Booklet, posted at: http://www.akc.org/events/agility/invitational EXHIBITOR ADMITTANCE TICKETS *** VERY IMPORTANT *** Every exhibitor will receive one (1) Daytime admission ticket for each day (Saturday & Sunday) for each dog entered. You will not need an admittance ticket on Friday. Exhibitor Admittance Tickets will be EMAILED to each exhibitor at the end of November. Please be sure to PRINT out each ticket to have with you when entering the building. Each ticket may ONLY be scanned once, thus if the exhibitor has a spouse, co-owner, co-handler, family, friends, etc. attending the event, each additional person MUST purchase their own, separate tickets. We encourage you to pre-purchase any additional daytime tickets for your family and friends to avoid the lines on Saturday and Sunday. The box office may not be open at the time you will need to check-in on Saturday and Sunday morning so anyone coming in early with you will need to pre-purchase their tickets. Tickets for the Evening Session for the Conformation Groups and Best in Show are limited and are not part of the daytime ticket that you will receive. Evening tickets are not needed for any of the Agility Competitions; admission for all of the agility competition is covered with the daytime ticket. Ticket options are available online at: https://secure.interactiveticketing.com/1.20/3f083a/#/select VOLUNTEERS Volunteers make this event possible and we couldn t do it without you. Come be a part of something very special. Not only do the volunteers get to watch the top agility dogs in each breed compete for top honors, they get free admission to the event (which also includes access to the Obedience Invitational, breed competition, meet-the-breed booths, dock dog diving, over 100 vendors, and more), free parking, lunch, snacks, a t-shirt, and more. Also, the Junior Agility Competition will be held on Friday morning and there will be a T2B titling class on Friday afternoon. If you know of anyone attending the event as a spectator, please pass this information along! EXHIBITORS CAN HELP TOO - Exhibitors who want to volunteer but prefer not to course build can now sign up to work at the information table, awards table, merchandise table (souvenirs), or in the volunteer/hospitality area. Just indicate your preference on the volunteer form! (Sorry, exhibitors cannot volunteer to staff the rings or score.) Volunteers are also needed to help set up on Thursday. This is also an option you can check on the form.

Signing up to volunteer is quick and easy on our new webpage. Just select the jobs you wish to volunteer for and for which day(s) and time(s) on the web site, fill in your personal information so that we can send you tickets and have a T-Shirt ready for you. Here is a link to the form: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0c4cadaf2ea3f58-20171 The deadline for submitting signups is November 15 th. SOUVENIRS/CATALOG A link to the Souvenir and Catalog online store has been posted online at the web page listed above. There is a selection of men, women, and youth clothing options for those attending the Agility Invitational and/or the Junior Agility Competition. There is a Sizing Chart link provided for most clothing items. 2017 many new items with some added glitz options! ALL items are full color embroidery. Embroidery is located over left chest, pocket area except for caps (which will be centered). Colors are displayed as accurately as possible. Please reference the respective size charts for EACH item. This year, several of the items are available with a GLITTER logo application. The logo is embroidered and finished with a glitter applique. There is a drop down for those items in the selection boxes. The added charge is $2.00 for GLITTER items. The final cost is reflected as shown. Confirm those costs in the final order. ALL items will be available for pick up at the event. NO MERCHANDISE will be shipped. In the event that an item becomes unavailable after your order is processed, you will be contacted to receive a refund, select another item, size and/or color. Please make sure that your contact information is correct. EVENT SALES LIMITED items, sizes and colors only. Items on this site will NOT be available after the deadline Monday, October 30, 2017. No additional "items from this e-store" will be sold after the event. We highly recommend ordering from this extensive selection to be assured a 2017 Agility Invitational - Junior Agility Competition souvenir merchandise item! ~ Email steve.herwig@akc.org if you have questions while placing your order using the online store. ~ TITLE, HANLDER, AND ANNOUNCER BIO UPDATES ARE TO BE PROVIDED ONLINE Using the Dog s Registration # shown on the confirmation PDF that was emailed, you may access your dog s Additional Exhibitor Information and self-update your dog s titles, handler, and announcer s bio. The web form is online at: http://akccompanionevents.com Titles and handler updates may continue to be updated online until Wednesday, December 13 th @ 5:00p.m. EST. BUILDING OPENS The building will be open at 6:30 a.m. on Friday, 6:30 a.m. on Saturday, and 6:00 a.m. on Sunday morning. EXHIBITOR CHECK-IN Exhibitor check-in shall occur on Friday between 11 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. You will need to know your ARMBAND# during check-in! IF you are arriving on Saturday, please check in to pick up your packet at the Information Table between 7:00 a.m. 7:20 a.m. There will be a luggage tag badge in your Exhibitor Welcome packet with a barcode. You MUST present this badge ringside before each one of your runs. At your option, it may be attached to your dog s leash. If you lose this badge, first check with the Announcer; if it has not been turned in, come see the Ribbons table for a replacement.

TITLE, HANDLER and SPEAKING POINT CHANGES WHILE AT THE EVENT Updates may be made while on-site at the event using the computer terminals provided over where Results are being posted/displayed. You must SCAN your exhibitor badge to activate the "Edit" button that allows you to make changes - want to make sure its "you" making those changes! :) The two computer terminals which allow updates will be labeled. Come ask at the scoring podium if you have questions. You have until your walk-thru in Ring 1 begins to make changes. Announcer Bios are only read when you are running in Ring 1. Updates made during the event only affect the announcer; printed reports and results displayed will not be updated. AGILITY INVITATIONAL CRATING All dogs must be in crates - NO EX-PENS will be allowed in the building. A crate is defined as having a top, bottom, and 4 walls, all interconnecting, thus preventing the dog from escaping. This year all Agility Invitational crating spaces will be selected by the OWNER or HANDLER via our new Online Crating Reservation system. You may start moving into your space starting at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, December 15 th. Items placed in crating spaces prior to this date/time will be removed see Doug Hurley to retrieve them. This is the seventh year for AKC s Junior Agility Competition on Friday morning. You are encouraged to spectate at the juniors event which runs from 8:00a.m. until 11:00a.m. on Friday. Please be considerate of their event when moving into crating. If you d like to volunteer to help with the Juniors event, please contact Lisa Dempsey (see Volunteer section above) CRATING AREA WRISTBANDS If you have someone traveling with you to assist you in the crating area, you should have them with you during check-in so that a wristband may be secured on their wrist at that time. The wristband helps us and your fellow exhibitor in identifying who should (and should not) be in the crating area. If you see someone in the crating sections without a wrist band, report it to the closest security personnel or come tell us at the scoring podium. LONG LEADS Dogs may not be on retractable or long-leads while in the Convention Center. FOOD & ICE CHESTS There are food vendors inside the Convention Center. Per the Convention Center management, NO ice chests (i.e. food or drink for exhibitors/spectators) will be allowed into the building. Small coolers containing dog treats are acceptable. TIME 2 BEAT titling class on Friday The T2B course maps will be available at 11:00a.m. and may be picked up from the Information Table. Your T2B armband number will be the same as your Saturday & Sunday Invitational armband number, hence wear the bib contained within your exhibitor bag on Friday. The T2B rings will be open for walk-through (all jump heights) between 11:30 a.m. and 11:50 a.m. Please check yourself in using the run orders posted at each ring s entrance. Judging shall commence promptly at 12:00 noon. If you are a foreign country entrant and your dog does not have an AKC Registration #, please be aware that your run in T2B will be for exhibition only. Your results will not be posted in the printed reports or on the result displays. BANQUET & 2016 TOP DOGS Our banquet celebrating 2017 s Agility Invitational and Junior Agility Competition exhibitors, along with AKC s 2016 Top Dog Winners shall be held on Friday, December 15 th. An email will be sent to all entrants when menus are posted and reservations are opened in November. DRESS CODE FOR FINALS ROUND Exhibitors who make it to Round 5 (Finals Round) are asked to wear BLACK pants or shorts. A Finalist shirt will be provided by AKC.

RING SCHEDULES - WALK-THRU GROUPS, AND RUN ORDER #s A copy of the Ring Schedules for the Junior Agility Competition, Time2Beat, and Agility Invitational have been posted online. To determine what Walk-Thru Group you are in for a Round/Jump Height: Locate the desired Round and your dog s Jump Height on the Ring Schedule o Notice that the Ring Schedule references a range of Run Order #s for Walk Group 1, 2, (and 3 for some jump heights). Using your confirmation PDF, determine what is your Run Order # for the desired round (page 2, #s next to armband # - R1 designates Round 1, R2 designates Round 2, etc). The Ring Schedule indicates which Walk Group # you are in for that round based on the listed run order # ranges. Handlers running multiple dogs may walk in any group(s) they wish, including utilizing the general walk-thru first thing each morning. If you believe there is a conflict between your RUNS, please email steve.herwig@akc.org ahead of time. RUNNING ORDER - WALK-THRU SPLITS AND BREAKS A copy of the Running Order for the Junior Agility Competition, Time2Beat, and Agility Invitational have been posted online. Notations exist on the posted Running Order as to where the Walk-Thru Splits are located and that a 5-minute break will occur during these times when the ring is running. The Gate Sheet boards located ringside shall also have these Walk-Thru Split/Break notations.
