Phrases & Clauses A clause is a group of words that includes both a simple subject_ and a simple predicate. This means that it includes a verb, as well as the noun that does (or is) that verb.

Cat psychiatrist are busy these days because the stress placed upon pet cats has increased people come home from work aier a two- hour ride on the freeway and pet cats demand auen4on as soon as humans open the door a pet cat is supposed to act fascinated an start purring it doesn t mauer to anyone that maybe the cat has been having a bad hairball day the cat s feelings are totally ignored it s only the whiny liule humans that have real problems aier a few months of this treatment, most cats need therapy without it they oien end up on the streets pushing a grocery cart and looking for pigeons that have bad coughs.

Armadillo Lil had a food stand that adver4sed a foot- long chili dog and fries for one dollar of course it was always crowded, which gave Lil a chance to show off her well- trained rep4les: an alligator, a snake, a turtle the size of a cantaloupe and a collec4on of Arizona lizards that did a great liule trapeze act everything was fine un4l a stranger in a cowboy hat approached Lil s stand and accused her of selling rep4le chili a totally untrue accusa4on as Lil loved her pets and would never feed them to a stranger.
