Dogs handled by the Juniors must be entered in an official class at the All-Breed Show. Dogs need not be owned by the Junior. The classes will be offered as follows: JUNIOR NOVICE - 7 TO 10; JUNIOR OPEN - 7 TO 10; INTERMEDIATE; NOVICE 11 TO 14; INTERMEDIATE OPEN 11 TO 14; SENIOR NOVICE - 15 TO 18; SENIOR OPEN - 15 TO 18; PEE WEE (non competitive) 4 TO 6. NOTE: Pee Wees do not compete for Best Overall. Suitable prizes will be offered for all children participating in Junior Handling at this show. This Junior Handling Number will be used by the Junior Handler for the duration of their Junior Handling career. If a Junior Handling number is not obtained, Junior Handling points earned will not be tracked. Due to consistently fluctuating currency rates, discounted cheques will not be accepted. Personal cheques will be accepted, however, they are to be payable in Canadian funds. If you send a cheque in U.S. funds it must be made out for the full amount of the entry and no exchange will be refunded to the exhibitor. Please do not mark cheques Payable in Canadian Funds or At Par as they will not be cleared by the banks. To simplify the process, we urge that you purchase bank drafts or money orders payable in Canadian funds. Your understanding and co-operation is appreciated. Thank you. FEES / CHEQUES / N.S.F. CHEQUES: All fees must accompany your entries. No entries will be accepted without accompanying full payment. Tendering of an N.S.F. cheque or credit cards that have maxed out shall be considered an offence punishable by disciplinary action and cancellation of awards by the Canadian Kennel Club. There will be a $50.00 fee charged for any N.S.F. funds issued to the Prince Albert Kennel & Obedience Club. (Post-dated cheques will NOT be accepted). Overpayment of entry fees will not be refunded. OFFICIAL CKC ENTRY FORMS ENTRIES MUST BE TYPED OR DISTINCTLY PRINTED. Owners are responsible for errors on entries. Incomplete entry forms must be returned to the designated owner or his authorized agent. Unsigned, telephone, or telegraph entries cannot be accepted, except in the event of a postal strike when telephone entries may be made in accordance with the Canadian Kennel Club Regulations. BREEDS,CLASSES, AWARDS AND STAKES 12.2.1 Regular Official Classes: All of these classes must be divided by sex except for Specials Only. Only dogs entered in one of the regular, nonregular, or unofficial classes shall be allowed within the show precincts. JUNIOR PUPPY: for dogs at least six months of age on the first day of the Show and under nine months of age on the day of the show. SENIOR PUPPY: for dogs 9 months of age and under 12 months of age on the day of the show. 12-18 MONTH CLASS: for dogs 12-18 months on the day of the shows. CANADIAN BRED: shall be for dogs born in Canada, Champions of any country excluded. BRED BY EXHIBITOR: shall be for dogs owned and handled in the ring by the Breeder. The handler must be the owner/co-owner AND breeder/cobreeder of the dog. The owner/ breeder must handle the dog in this class, but need not handle the dog for further awards. OPEN CLASS: shall be for all dogs. SPECIALS ONLY: is for dogs which have a recorded CKC Registration or Event Registration Number and have attained the required points for Championship status including at least one 2 point win either at the breed or group level. Should a dog which is entered in this class be found either not to be registered or has not completed the requirements for Championship status, all awards earned at the show will be cancelled. Dogs entered in this class will compete for Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex and Best Puppy if eligible. EXHIBITION ONLY: for all dogs 6 months of age and eligible for registration with the CKC. MOVING DOGS TO SPECIALS ONLY : A dog which is individually registered in the records of the CKC and has completed the requirements for a Championship in accordance with these rules but at the time of the closing of entries for a show has not received confirmation of the title, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to Specials Only providing the transfer is submitted to the Show Secretary in writing by the owner or handler at least 1 hour prior to the opening of the show. NOTE: Class dogs may be moved to Specials Only as long as the registration number is on the Move Up Sheet.

RESERVED BENCHING ONLINE ONLY 8 x 8' reserved assigned space is optional and on a first come, first served basis. 55 assigned spaces are available at $30.00 ea. Unreserved benching are also available throughout the building, at no cost, on a first come, first served basis on day of arrival. POWER Prepaid Power is available at $30 each. Unreserved power can be purchased (CASH ONLY) at the show for $50. Please bring a 50 extension cord to ensure access to power. To ensure fairness for all, please bring your extension cord to the Show Secretary table to register and be tagged. CATALOGUE ADVERTISING ½ page: $20.00, Full page: $40.00. COMMERCIAL BOOTH SPACE Booth space is available. Entire weekend: $50.00 / booth space. All booth space must be reserved by the Closing Date. Please contact Tom Tilford at (306) 764-8275, E-Mail: ttilford@sasktel.net. SHOW TIMES All start times will be specified in the judging schedule emailed to all exhibitors after entries close. Group judging will commence immediately following the breed judging. No two groups will be judged at the same time. Should a conflict arise between groups, the Show Secretary shall rule as to what order the Groups show. Best In Show will follow shortly after the last group has been judged. CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS A dog awarded WINNERS at a Championship Show shall be credited with a number of Championship points (Ranging from 0-5) and the number of championship points to credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be provided hereunder. The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of the number of points awarded WINNERS shall be as follows: *Dogs Competing: 1 2 3-5 6-9 10-12 13 or more Points Allocated 0 1 2 3 4 5 * includes the dog awarded WINNERS In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified, dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge shall NOT (effective 2012) be included in the calculation of points. If a dog awarded WINNERS is also awarded BEST OF BREED a the show, then all dogs competing in the breed, including Specials Only, shall be included in the total. If a dog awarded WINNERS is also awarded BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX to Best of Breed, then all dogs of the same sex including those competing for Specials Only shall be included in the total. If a dog is awarded WINNERS is also awarded Best Of Winners, then all dogs defeated directly or indirectly in the breed shall be included in the total. If a dog is awarded WINNERS only, then all the dogs of the same class competition shall be included in the total. The number of Championship points to be credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be determined by the highest award earned and calculated as per Section 20.2. In addition to Championship points allocated at the breed level, a dog awarded WINNERS which also places in the regular Group competition, shall be credited with the following points provided that a dog was defeated at the Group level. In no case can a dog earn more than five points at a single show. An error in the class, date of birth or sex may be amended on the entry from up to one hour BEFORE the start of the show.

GENERAL INFORMATION 1. THE BOTTOMS OF ALL EX PENS AND WIRE CRATE BOTTOMS MUST BE LINED WITH PLASTIC SUPPLIED BY THE OWNER/HANDLER. A LIMITED AMOUNT OF PLASTIC CAN BE PURCHASED AT THE SHOW. 2. Exhibitors are required to clean up their benching area upon leaving. Those who do not will be billed a $50.00 clean-up fee which must be paid before entering future PAKOC events. 3. Dogs will be allowed to stay in the building overnight; however, they will be left at the owner s/handler s own risk. There will be no over-night security. 4. As per CKC rules all dogs on the show premises MUST be listed in the show catalogue. Any dogs not listed will be asked to leave. If you have a dog at the show that is not entered you must obtain an IN TRANSIT ticket from the Show Secretary (no charge). Because we have limited benching space, please leave your extra dogs at home. 5. DOGS MUST BE EXERCISED IN THE DESIGNATED AREAS ONLY. NON-COMPLIANCE WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE EXPULSION FROM THE SHOW. POOP/SCOOP RULES ARE STRONGLY IN EFFECT! 6. There are NO dog bathing facilities at this venue. Exhibitors who bath their dogs in bathrooms or elsewhere will be excused from the show / building for the remainder of the event(s). 7. We recommend booking your Hotel Reservations early. 8. Electrical plug-in charge will be $30.00 prepaid. At the show it will be $50.00. Those wanting power are advised to bring a 50 extension cord with them to ensure access to power. Please go to the Show Secretary table with your extension cord to register for your prepaid power BEFORE plugging in so that it can be tagged. Those cords found plugged in but NOT tagged will be unplugged/removed. 9. Entry fees will not be refunded for cancellation of entries if the dog is absent, disqualified, excused by a veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of the Show Committee, or because it has been entered incorrectly. 10. If because of riot, civil disturbance or acts beyond the control of the Club, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry will be made. 11. **NOTE TIME!! The show building will be opened Thursday, at 4:00 PM (NO SOONER) to 11:00 PM for exhibitors to set up. **The Club volunteers ask that you please wait until 4 pm before coming into the building so that they all have the time to complete what they need to do. The building will be open from 6:30 AM to 11:00PM Fri & Sat; 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM on Sun. 12. PLEASE NOTE SUNDAY EXHIBITORS TO BE GONE FROM THE BUILDING BY 6PM. Without your co operation this may not happen! ***NEW TRACKING FEE FOR NON-MEMBERS*** Effective January 1, 2011, the CKC will be instituting a tracking fee for all Canadian residents who participate in a CKC event, but are not CKC members. In order to cover the clerical costs of recording and tracking points and awards earned at a CKC event, a participating non-member can choose to purchase a CKC membership or pay a dog-specific tracking fee($55.00). This only applies to dogs wholly owned by non-members and is not applicable to CKC members or dogs co-owned with a CKC member. In order for the CKC to efficiently manage recording and tracking points, it's important that non-members select one of the two options within 30 days of notification or, unfortunately, we will be forced to cancel any awards and titles.
