Teaching suggestions: After finishing the book for the first time, ask children which is their favourite animal in this book. Ask: Which is the smallest animal in this book? Answer: the elephant As you read the story a second time, ask children to tell you the colour of the animal, or the sound it makes. Ask about other unique features of the animals.
