The farmer takes out the honey and puts it into jars. Then, we can eat it! Finally, the bees 6 put the nectar in the honeycombs. The water evaporates from it, making it into a thick syrup. The bees help the nectar dry by moving their wings. 7 They use their long tongues to suck the nectar out of the flowers. 4 7 6 Bees keep nectar in their honey stomachs. They have two stomachs a honey stomach for nectar and a normal stomach. 4 Then, the bees return to the hive and pass the nectar to the worker bees. They suck the nectar from the bee s stomach through their mouths. The workers chew the nectar for half an hour. During this time, the complex sugars turn into simple sugars. Unit
