The Bulldog Club of America, Division III Board of Governors will hold its first meeting of the year on Saturday, February 10th at, or near, the show site one hour after the second Mother Lode Bulldog Club show. The biennial meeting of the members of BCA Division III, originally scheduled for October 28, 2017 in Dixon, California, has been rescheduled to February 10th at, or near, the show site, to commence either before or after the BCA Division III Board meeting as will be posted at the show. The Board of the BCA Division III wishes to advise exhibitors that it has designated that the Best of Breed winner at its show on February 11th, will be invited as the Division's automatic qualifier to the first ever Bulldog Club of America Top 20-Plus, to be held during the Bulldog Club of America National Show Week on October 29, 2018 at the Double Tree by Hilton in Bloomington, Minnesota (Minneapolis Metro Area). Stud dogs must be entered in the Stud Dog Class and must be shown in the ring with their Get. Owner of the Stud Dog need not necessarily be owner of Get. Get only to be judged based on the merits of the Get. While the merits of the Stud Dog are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog must be examined to determine if it has a condition that would require its disqualification or excusal under the Dog show Rules, AKC policy or the standard for its breed. Get must be entered in a Regular Class. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS REGARDING CORRECTIONS OR CHANGES TO ENTRIES: Corrections other than the specific changes listed in Ch. 11, Sec. 6 (i.e. sex of a dog, transfers between age specific classes, and move-ups to BOB or BOV) are the only changes to the entries superintendents or secretaries are authorized to make after closing of entries. All Juniors Meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or to complete the show, no refund of entry fee will be made. A recording fee of.50 cents and a Event Service Fee of $3.00 will be required for each dog entered at any licensed or member club show, obedience trial or tracking test. This recording fee is to be collected by the showgiving club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the recording fee is to be collected on the first entry only. (AKC Rule, Chapter 14, Sec. 2). Trophies must be claimed the day of the show or be forfeited. No entry shall be made and no entry accepted which specifies any condition as to its acceptance. Telephone and Telegraph entries cannot be accepted. Entries must be submitted on an American Kennel Club Official Entry Form or exact copy (both front & back) and must be signed. Owners are responsible for errors on entry blanks. The Club and/or its Show Secretary assumes no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or owner's Agent entering a dog or a class for which the dog is not eligible to compete. Entry fee shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by Veterinarian or Judge or barred from competition by action of Show Committee or because it has been entered incorrectly. No dogs will be allowed in the show area except those regularly entered in the show. Dogs must be ready for Judging: The club and its show secretary will not be responsible and are not obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of breed or class judging. The Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. This club will not be responsible for the loss of or damage to any dog exhibited, whether the result of accident or other causes. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this show is in the care and custody and control of his owner or handler during the entire time the dog is on the show premises. The club will not be responsible for injury to any person attending this show. A dog which, according to its owners' records, has completed the requirements for a Championship after the closing of entries for the show, but whose Championship is unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed, provided this transfer is made by the Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the start of any regular conformation Judging at the show. ADDITIONAL RULES Exhibitors must not wear pins or badges identifying them with any club or organization. Crates and grooming tables will not be allowed within 10 feet of the rings. Dogs may arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. Judges will not wait for any dog holding up a class. Owners or agents alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging ring when their classes are called to be judged. All dogs present must be held on a leash or confined to their crates except when being judged or when in the exercise ring. Class cash prizes will be paid in the ring to the person showing the dog. Claims for prize money must be made in the ring before the judging of the breed is over and the Show Secretary advised at once. The Show Secretary and show-giving club may disclaim any liability for cash prizes after the judging of breed is over. NO ADULT DOGS OR PUPPIES ARE TO BE SOLD WITHIN THE SHOW SITE.
