APPLICANT S NAME: Capital Kennel Club of Juneau Mission Statement The purposes of the Club are to engage in activities with purebred and mixed breed dogs, to further the wellbeing of the dog, the pleasure of the owners, the responsible citizenship of dog owners, the development of skills in working with dogs and the exercise of sportsmanlike behavior. Classes of Memberships Adult or Best Friend is a regular membership open to each person over 18 years of age who subscribes to the purposes of the club. Regular membership includes voting privileges, a newsletter subscription, participation on email lists, and eligibility for all discounts and benefits. Junior or Puppy is open to a person 10 18 years of age. At the Puppy level members receive a newsletter subscription, participation on email lists, and all discounts, but are not entitled to vote. Juniors are encouraged to volunteer for suitable tasks with parental consent; however, supervision is required for ages 10-13 year olds. Family or Dog Pack is available to all individuals within a single household. All individuals in a family membership will have all rights and responsibilities of regular members except the family membership will have only one vote. Champion membership is available to individual adults or families. At the Championship level the same discounts, benefits as the adult or family membership, except two people within the family will have votes. Champion members shall be listed in all event programs and in the newsletter. Up to 70% of annual dues may be allocated to support areas of interest. Membership benefits include discounted rates on public classes and Members Only classes, practices, and seminars.
