Elf Help written by Anne Calodich Fone Giving is born in a heart filled with thankfulness. Let s try to choose to live with an attitude of constant gratitude. Remembering Jane Roberts. The bright blue eyes and smiling face that always greeted me, the trips to the gym for Pilates classes, our New Year s parties. Most of all, I will remember her in the garden, working to make everything as beautiful as she was Phyllis Gambrill. Jane and I had three story end condo units that mirrored each other. Every morning we would raise the shade on the window at the top of the stairs. That was our check-in procedure which said: all is well. Jane will always be fondly remembered..ginny Palleschi My friend Jane was a great lady. I loved going to the movies with her. She always got her popcorn! We would be passing it back and forth during the movie.. Sometimes, popcorn WAS Jane s dinner! You were a great lady Jane, and I will miss you. XOXO.Linda Zamojcin Our Janie-gal gave generously of her knowledge and physical energy. After finishing a day s landscaping project in Willow Ponds, dinner was prepared by my husband, Zoli, accompanied by a glass of wine (maybe two). It was our ritual! Many fine hours were spent with a fine woman. Thank you Jane...Marilyn Szabo Jane, my dear friend.the constant gardener. Marie Calandra Jane s daughters and grandchildren will miss her love, family loyalty, strength, perseverance, quick wit and generosity. We here at Willow Ponds will miss the strong, funny lady with the amazing blue eyes!...barbara Graziano Jane Roberts passed away on July 14, 2018. Byron s Corner Lord Byron Emory has been a canine resident of the Willow Ponds Community since May of 2017. As a team player, Byron does his best to follow the Rules and Regulations, and is current with all his registration records. Byron is classified as a Morkie, weighing just under 6 lbs and is a lover of humanity. Interview provided by Barbara Graziano Barbara: So Byron, are you happy living here in Willow Ponds? Byron: Yes, I love the birds and the rabbits, and I made some really cool friends. Barbara: Does anything about Willow Ponds make you unhappy? Byron: Weeelllll there is one thing that rubs my belly the wrong way. When I go walking with Mom and she picks up stuff that other dogs left. It s just not fair! She s MY mom! I don t like it. Barbara: Why do you get upset about another dog s stuff? Byron: Because the other day I was with Mom and she bent down to pick something up and it didn t come from me. And it was big, really big. And I thought should mine be that big? Am I a failure? And then I thought, Wow, maybe these other dogs don t have moms and dads to pick up after them. Maybe I ve gotta share my mom, even if I don t wanna. Barbara: Is there anything Willow Ponds can do about that? Byron: I don t know. I m just a pup. It s up to the humans. Byron says... Please show how much you love your pets. No TresPOOPing Please. Clean Mind Clean Soul When one de-clutters the home, one is able to enjoy a higher quality of life. A NOTE FROM THE BOARD: The board would like to thank the Communications Team for all their efforts to bring back the popular Ponderings newsletter. Every season brings new projects and challenges. This coming Fall has been no exception. The street trees will be trimmed in October. Precision Management will identify driveways that need to be repaired in October. Please check your emails or pick up a Lawn Elements update in the clubhouse, and be sure to follow the minutes as well for all updates. To ensure the pool will open on time for the 2019 Memorial Day weekend, the stone coping of the pool will be reset and/or replaced as necessary. In the Spring the pool will be marble dusted. It was really great to see so many old friends and new faces come out to the August Happy Hour! When the man got back, Mr. Peepers was walking up the driveway. The next day, he drove Mr. Peepers to another town and booted him out. The man arrived home to find Mr. Peepers asleep in his chair. Finally the man drove 20 miles away, turned right, then left, went over a mountain, down in a valley, through a river and into a thick forest. Hours later, he called home to his wife; "Jen, is Mr. Peepers there?" "Yes" she replied. "Why?" "I'm lost and I need him to give me directions home."
