NEW NOSEWORK CLASS DEMO On Friday evening following the conclusion of Handler Discrimination, UKC will be holding a demonstration of the new 2020 Handler Discrimination classes and a discussion of the new rules. This demonstration will be open to the public anyone may attend and learn about what s coming to Nosework next year! Total Dog/Total Junior: Offered each day. To qualify, exhibitors need at least one conformation win and one performance qualification on the same day to qualify for Total Dog and Total Junior. Wins do not carry over to the next day. Altered dogs may compete in Altered Conformation for an Altered Total Dog Award. Nosework Pre-Trials are not Total Dog qualifying events. PREMIER Total Dog Qualifier! Any dog that earns a Total Dog at the 2019 Ohio Classic will automatically be added to our Total Dog Groups at the 2019 UKC PREMIER Event. Classic qualifiers must enter at least one event at PREMIER and submit their Classic Total Dog invitation with their entry.

GENERAL INFORMATION This event is indoors. Please remember to keep all grooming to a minimum per UKC rules. Grounds will be open to exhibitors by 6 a.m. on Friday, March 22. The Roberts Event Centre will close to exhibitors each night at 8 p.m. Buildings hours are 6:00 a.m. to 8:00p.m. each day. Overnight security is not provided, and no dog(s) may be left unattended overnight. All times are Eastern Standard Time. There will be absolutely NO SMOKING and NO VAPING in any building or within 25 feet of any building entrance. ENTRY INFORMATION ELIGIBILITY. 1. Dogs must be permanently registered with UKC, have a Temporary Listing (TL) number, or have a Performance Listing (PL)/Limited Privilege (LP) listing number by the closing date and time to enter the licensed classes. No exceptions will be made. Entries for ineligible dogs will be returned. 2. An unentered dog may not be substituted for an entered dog. 3. Dogs must meet the eligibility requirements for the event which they are entering. For requirements, refer to the appropriate event rules and regulations. ENTRY FEES Pre-entry & Pre-entry Specials Pre-Entries must be submitted via UKC s online entry system, mail, or fax. Pre-entries will be opened on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 8:00 a.m. Eastern time. All pre-entries must be received by UKC by Wednesday, March 6, 2019, 4:30 p.m. Eastern time. No pre-entries will be accepted or processed after that time. Pre-Entry Fees: 1. Conformation: $25 per show; $120 special for same dog entered in all 6 shows 2. Rally Obedience: $25 per trial; $20 second entry (same dog, same trial); $60 Same dog entered in 3 runs 3. SUBMITTING ENTRIES 1. Entries may be submitted on the Official UKC Entry Forms included with this Premium List or on any current official UKC Entry form. Entries may be submitted online on the UKC official website: www.ukcdogs.com /ohio-classic. 2. Entries will not be accepted from third parties or any other entry service. 3. For online entry go to www.ukcdogs.com and click on the Ohio Classic logo. 4. Receipt of online entries will be acknowledged within 3 business days, but this does not constitute confirmation of a valid entry. 5. Mailed entries must include fees. Mailed entries received without fees will not be accepted. 6. Mail entries to: United Kennel Club Ohio Classic Entries 100 Kilgore Rd Kalamazoo MI 49002-5584 7. Fax entries must include a cover sheet indicating the number of pages. 8. Fax number (269) 349-5590. A faxed entry must be received in UKC s offices by the closing date and time and must be fully legible and complete for it to be accepted. We will not accept a faxed entry after the closing date and time based on a Transmission OK message in the possession of the owner. No exceptions. 9. Hand-delivered entries will be taken at the United Kennel Club offices. 10. Electronic confirmation of entries will be sent to the email address included on the entry form as soon as the entry has been accepted and processed. 11. One armband will be assigned to each entered dog. Entry information will be printed on the back of the armband. Armbands will be made available for pick up at the event.

PAYMENT 1. Payment may be made by cash, check, money order or credit card. No entry will be accepted without payment. 2. Make checks and money orders payable to UKC. Checks and money orders must be payable in U.S. funds. 3. When paying by credit card, entry must include the card number and expiration date, as well as the printed cardholder s name, address, daytime phone, and signature. Fax numbers and email addresses should be included, when applicable. 4. Post-dated checks, returned checks, and declined credit cards do not constitute valid entry fees. UKC will add a collection fee of $30 to the amount of each returned check or money order. Exhibitors who repeatedly submit invalid entry fees may be put on a cash-only basis. ENTRY CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS 1. Entry cancellations must be received in writing prior to the closing of pre-entries or before limits have been reached. Requests must include dog s UKC number, breed, name, and event type entered. Cancellations received by telephone will not be accepted. 2. No refund of entry fees will be made for entries cancelled after the pre-entry closing date and time, except in the cases of females that come into season and are entered in a performance event. In those cases, refunds may be obtained by providing UKC with a veterinarian s certificate verifying that the female came into season after the closing date. The certificate may be mailed, provided the postmark is no later than the date prior to the day of the event, emailed to classic@ukcdogs.com, or delivered by hand to the UKC superintendent personnel before the start of the event. 3. Cancelled entries submitted before the close of entries will be charged a processing fee of 50% the entry fee for each entry/class being cancelled. No entries will be refunded after the pre-entry closing date and time or after entry limits have been reached. 4. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by veterinarian or judge, or barred from competition by action of Event Committee. 5. Every effort will be made to find all duplicate entries before processing. However, if a duplicate entry is processed, no refund will be made. 6. Entry overpayments may be donated to the general trophy fund. 7. If, because of riots, civil disturbances, or other acts beyond the control of the host organization, it is impossible to open or to complete an event, no refund of entry fees will be made. 8. If, in the opinion of the host club, the well-being of dogs, exhibitors, or spectators is at risk due to extreme weather conditions such as but not limited to snow storms, hurricanes, tornado, lightning, flooding, or extreme heat, the host club may cancel or stop an event before completion. No refunds will be made in such cases. ENTRY CONFIRMATION & ARMBANDS 1. Written confirmation of entries will be made by email within three business days after receipt of pre-entries. If you do not receive your confirmation by the pre-entry closing date, please notify UKC at classic@ukcdogs.com. 2. Pre-entry armbands will be available for pick-up at the superintendent s table. CLASS CHANGE/CORRECTION OF ENTRY 1. Owners are responsible for the accuracy of information on their entry forms. Owners are responsible for any errors made on entry forms, regardless of who may make such errors. Owners and exhibitors are responsible for correcting any errors regarding their entry. 2. If, per the owner s records, a dog has completed the requirements for a title after the closing of entries, the dog may be moved up from the entered class to the class for which it is eligible. Move-ups must be requested in writing to UKC not later than one-half hour prior to the start of any regular judging at the show in which the move-up is being made. 3. Any corrections to entries must be made in writing to UKC using the appropriate form provided no later than onehalf hour prior to the start of judging at the show.

SCHEDULING CONFLICTS FOR DOGS COMPETING IN MULTIPLE EVENTS 1. Exhibitors are responsible for being available for judging at the scheduled time. 2. Every possible effort will be made to accommodate exhibitors who have dogs entered in multiple events, but judges are not required to wait for dogs. Exhibitors are advised to pick up their armbands as early as possible and to notify stewards in all rings affected by the conflict so that judges may more easily work around any conflicts. 3. When there is a conflict, the exhibitor should inform the steward/judge at the performance ring ahead of time of a possible conflict and make every effort to be available for judging prior to conclusion of the class. However, if an exhibitor misses a scheduled judging time for a performance event, the judge has the discretion to allow that exhibitor to run at the end of the class. However, if the judging of the specific class has been completed, the exhibitor shall not be eligible to compete and will be marked absent. The judge s decision is final. TOTAL DOG 1. Total Dog Award: To be eligible for a Total Dog award, a dog must: a. On the day of the event, compete in conformation with competition and win one of the following classes: Best Male/Female of Variety, Best Male/Female, Best of Winners, Champion, Reserve Champion, Grand Champion, Reserve Grand Champion, Best of Breed, Group 1 through 4 (providing the group placement has competition), Best in Show or Reserve Best in Show. b. Earn a qualifying score in a performance event. Dogs who meet the above requirements will receive a special Total Dog or Altered Total Dog award. Any dog that earns a Total Dog award at the 2019 Ohio Classic will automatically be added to our Total Dog Groups at the 2019 UKC PREMIER Event. Classic qualifiers must enter at least one event at PREMIER and mark on their entry form that they are a Classic Total Dog Qualifier to compete. 2. Total Junior Award. To be eligible for a Total Junior award a junior must: a. Compete in the Novice Junior, Novice Senior, Open Junior or Open Senior class and earn a 1st-4th placement or an Award of Merit (if the individual class meets the AOM requirements). Award of Merit for UKC Junior Showmanship classes will be calculated as follows: 6 Junior Handlers in competition 1 AOM 9 Junior Handlers in competition 2 AOM 12 Junior Handlers in competition 3 AOM 15 Junior Handlers in competition 4 AOM b. The Junior must also earn a qualifying score in any one performance event on the same day the conformation requirement was earned. CAMPING All RV exhibitors are asked to check-in upon arrival with the hotel front desk. Advanced arrangements need to be made to overnight at the facility past the last day of the event you are attending. RV parking is in the gravel lot next to Royal Canin Ring & Eukanuba Field. There are 26 electric hookup RV parking spaces that are charged at a rate of $40 per night. RV parking without hookup are charged at a rate of $25 per night. Hookups are electric only there are no water hookups and no bathing facilities. Guests must check-in at the front desk of the Holiday Inn to receive a parking permit prior to parking. United Kennel Club Exhibitor Housekeeping Responsibilities (Holiday Inn): Dogs left unattended in hotel guest rooms must be crated. Up to four dogs will be permitted per room. A pet deposit of $35 will be charged for each room in which a dog is housed per 3-night stay. No grooming or bathing of dogs will be allowed in the guest rooms and no hotel towels will be used for this purpose. Dog bathing facilities are located in the event center. UKC will assign a liaison to meet daily with hotel management to assure all members are complying with hotel rules. No dogs will be permitted in any hotel recreation areas, including the swimming pools and other public spaces.

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS 1. All events are held under the Rules and Regulations of the United Kennel Club. By entering this show/trial, exhibitors acknowledge that they are familiar with the rules and regulations of this sport. 2. Crating must only be done within the designated crating areas. 3. Absolutely no consumption of alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs will be allowed while participating in a UKC Licensed event. 4. It is expressly understood that exhibitors alone are responsible for the behavior of their dogs and/or children. Any exhibitor whose dogs and/or children create unnecessary disturbances or repeatedly engage in unsafe or disruptive behavior may, at the discretion of the Event Committee, be asked to leave the show site. In that case, no refund of any fees paid will be made. 5. UKC Clermont County Dog Training Club, the Roberts Event Centre their agents, and their employees assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by spectators or by exhibitors, or to any of their dogs or property, and further assume no responsibility for injury to children not under the control of their parents or guardians. Parents are required to supervise their children on the show grounds. Children are not allowed to play on any equipment on the show site. UKC, Crossroads Canine Club, and the Roberts Event Centre are not responsible for loss, accidents or theft. 6. Dogs may arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging will be excused. 7. The No Smoking rule will be strictly enforced in all buildings, the show lawn, crating areas and other areas within 25 feet of shade canopies. No use of electronic cigarettes or vaping devices in the no smoking areas. 8. Exhibitors and dog owners are expected and required to clean up after their own dogs. Any person witnessing a violation of this rule must report it to the Event Committee. The Event Committee may ask any person violating this rule to leave the event grounds. No refund will be made if an exhibitor is asked to leave the grounds. 9. UKC will vigorously support any hotel that files a complaint about exhibitors who fail to keep their dogs quiet or to clean up after them. In order that the bad conduct of a few exhibitors does not spoil it for the many responsible exhibitors, UKC will take strong disciplinary action against any offenders. 10. UKC encourages exhibitors to present their dogs with the least amount of grooming necessary to enable a judge to properly compare each dog with the standard of its breed. Dogs should be bathed and presented with clean teeth and with nails cut to a length suitable for the dog to perform the work for which it was bred. UKC enforces rules against artificially altering pigment and coat color, coat texture, and surgical alterations as outlined in the UKC Rules and Regulations. The judge s determination that this rule has been violated shall be final. 11. Dogs may not be left unattended when crated in soft mesh crates or exercise pens. No dog may be left in an unlatched or unzippered crate. 12. Except when being judged or when crated, dogs must be kept on leash. 13. There are to be no exercise pens in the building. 14. There will be no saving of floor/grooming/crating space. Large floor mats will not be allowed in the building. 15. Any large mats used in shade canopies on the grass must be picked up off the ground at night. 16. All exhibitors are expected to abide by the UKC Rules and Regulations and to cooperate with grounds staff, stewards, and club members of the host clubs.
