A recording fee of 50 cents will be required for each dog entered at any license or Member Club show, obedience trial or tracking test. This recording fee is to be collected by the show giving club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the recording fee is to be collected on the first entry only ( American Kennel Club Rules, Chapter 14, Section 2). Entry fees are $30.00 for regular classes., $25.00 for Puppy and Veterans, Stud Dog and Brood Bitch Classes. These fees include a $3.00 event fee and a 50 cent American Kennel Club recording fee. Sweepstakes entry fee is $15.00. Dogs entered in the American Bred Classes must have been whelped in the United States by reason of a mating which took place in the United States (American Kennel Club Rules, Chapter 6, Section 8). Foreign dogs (dogs not whelped in the USA or Canada) are eligible for Puppy and Open Classes effective, January 1, 1985. Make all checks and money orders payable in U.S. funds to the Bull Terrier Club of Metro Detroit (BTCMD). Checks or money orders must be sent with entries. Telephone, Telegraph, fax and unsigned entries cannot be accepted. Entries not on official entry forms and photocopies of entry forms without Agreement and Rules on the reverse side of the official AKC entry form are not accepted. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a collection fee of $25.00 to the amount of each returned check. Dogs may arrive any time prior to their scheduled time of judging. Dogs not required for further judging may be excused. Owners are responsible for errors in making out entry forms, whoever may make such errors. No entry fee will be refunded in event of such error or cancellation of entries after the published closing date. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the veterinarian or judge or because of riots, civil disturbances or any other cause beyond the control of the Club. PLEASE MAKE ALL CHECKS PAYABLE TO BTCMD FOR ALL EVENTS. The show giving Club, or their members, assume no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children.

The required 3 swabs are provided FREE from RWTBTCA for this clinic. We will have all forms needed and the shipping will be paid for by the Rescue Welfare Trust out of Health funds (this does not take $ from Rescue dogs). PLEASE NOTE: Dogs must not have eaten anything or had a drink from a shared water source for two hours prior to swabbing. Please check in to schedule the best time to swab your dog. We will ship all swabs to PennGenn at no cost to the dogs owners. To get your dog s results, you must register on the PennGenn website for an account and register the dogs you had swabbed so PennGenn can match them with their samples. You will be notified when your dog s sample is matched to their information and begins processing, and you will be notified when the testing is complete. At that time you pay PennGenn $60 for the testing and you will immediately receive the results. Sweepstakes classes should be indicated in the area marked additional classes on the entry form. Prize money in each class will be based on a percentage of entry fees in that class divided as follows: First Prize 30% Third Prize 10% Second Prize 20% Fourth Prize 5% The remainder of the entry fees will be retained for expenses: 35%

AKC NATIONAL OWNER-HANDLED SERIES The AKC National Owner-Handled Series is a non-titling competition for dogs that are exhibited by their owners that are not professional handlers. All dogs that are owner-handled and are not owned, co-owned or exhibited by a professional handlers* meet the requirements for this competition. Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner-Handled eligible at the time of entry using the check box on the entry form. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the steward s book & catalog. Dogs must be handled throughout the breed level competition for the regular show by an eligible owner. Professional handlers, households and current assistants** to professional handlers may not exhibit the dog in this competition. Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breed/Variety competition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of non-regular classes. If Best of Breed/Variety winner is Owner-Handled competition eligible, it will automatically be Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety and be eligible to compete in both the regular as well as the Owner-Handled Best of Breed competition If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is not eligible for Owner-Handled competition and the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety is eligible, the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety will compete against the eligible exhibits of the other sex to determine Owner- Handled Best of Breed/Variety. If neither the Best of Breed/Variety nor the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety are Owner-Handled competition eligible and Select Dog & Select Bitch are both eligible, the judge is to choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the Selects and eligible Winners Dog or Winners Bitch. If one of the Selects is eligible, excuse all Champions and non-regular class winners of the same sex and then choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the remaining dogs of the opposite sex including the eligible Winners. If the regular show Best of Breed/Variety, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety, Select Dog & Select Bitch are not eligible, the judge may choose any eligible dog who competed in Best of Breed/Variety including Winners Dog or Winners Bitch as the Best of Breed/Variety for the AKC National Owner-Handled Series. If the Best of Winners is eligible, the other Winners are ineligible since it was defeated. No class dogs other than Winners Dog & Winners Bitch are eligible to return to the ring.
