Neutered dogs and Spayed bitches may be shown in Veteran Classes at independent specialty shows. The winners of these classes will compete for Best of Breed. BEST OF BREED COMPETITION The following categories of dogs may be entered and shown in Best of Breed competition. Dogs, which according to their owner s records have completed the requirements for a championship but whose championships are unconfirmed is limited to a period of 90 days from the date of the show where a dog completed the requirements for a championship according to the owner s records. If at the end of the 90 day period, the championship of a dog has not been confirmed by the American Kennel Club, no further entries of the dog for Best of Breed competition are to be made until its championship has been confirmed by the AKC. AWARDS OF MERIT At the judge s discretion, Awards of Merit may be given up to 10% of the total Best of Breed entry. Those chosen shall receive a rosette. Non-Regular Classes Involving Multiple Dog Entries *Stud Dog Class / *Brood Bitch Class - Stud Dog/Brood Bitch and two, of his /her Get/Produce. Stud Dog/Brood Bitch must be entered in the Stud Dog/Brood Bitch Class and shown in the ring with Get/ Produce. The owner of the Stud Dog/Brood Bitch need not own Get/Produce. Get/Produce will be judged on own merit. While the merits of the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch are not to be considered in the placement of the entry, the Stud Dog or Brood Bitch must be examined to determine if he/she has a condition that would require him/her to be disqualified or to be excused under Dog Show Rules, American Kennel Club policy, or the standard for his/her breed. Get or Produce must be entered in a Regular Class, Best of Breed Competition or some other Non-Regular Class. As the judge's decision in the Stud Dog and Brood Bitch class will be based on the merits of more that one dog or bitch. Therefore, no one of the dogs or bitches making up the entry judged first in this class, will be eligible to compete for Best of Breed by virtue of having won this class." Brace - For two dogs of the same breed or variety with one common owner. Parade of Title Holders Any Dalmatian holding an American Kennel Club Title of Record in Breed, Obedience, or Rally is eligible to participate in the Title Parade. Professional Handlers may show only dogs they own. Entry fee for Sweepstakes is $20.00. All entries in Sweepstakes MUST be entered in a Regular Class at the show and Trial, and entries must be made at the same time that the regular entries are made and on the same entry blank under Additional Classes. 6

SWEEPSTAKES CLASSES CLASSES: Each age group is divided by sex: 6 mos. & under 9 mos. - 9 mos. & under 12 mos. - 12 mos. & under 15 mos. - 15 mos. & under 18mos. VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES CLASSES Entries in the Veteran Sweepstakes do not have to be entered in a Regular Class at this Show and Trial. Veteran Classes are open to dogs that have been spayed or neutered. CLASSES: Each age group is divided by sex: 7 years & under 10 years - 10 years and older DIVISION OF ENTRY MONEY AS PRIZES 35% OF TOTAL FEES WILL BE RETAINED BY THE Club for expenses. The remaining entry fee will be divided as follows: First Prize = 40% Second Prize = 30% Third Prize = 20% Fourth Prize = 10% Rounded to the nearest dollar. From the South, turn right at the exit onto Daily Drive, continue to Lewis Road, turn right on Lewis Road. In approximately 3 miles, turn left onto University Drive. JUNIOR SHOWMANSHIP COMPETITION Novice Junior Class: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Place awards with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Novice Intermediate Class: For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Place awards with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Novice Senior Class: For Boys and Girls who are at least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have not won three First Place awards with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Open Junior Class: For Boys and Girls who are at least 9 years old and under 12 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Place awards with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Open Intermediate Class: For Boys and Girls who are at least 12 years old and under 15 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Place awards with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Open Senior Class: For Boys and Girls who are at least 15 years old and under 18 years old on the day of the show and who, at the time entries close, have won three First Place awards with competition present in a Novice Class at a licensed or member show. Master Class: This class will be for boys and girls who are at least 9 years old and under 18 years on the day of the show, and who have won the 10 Brest Junior wins with competition. The calendar for this class will be consistent with the eligibility dates for the AKC National Championship. All Juniors meeting the criteria for this class are required to enter the Master Class and may change their entry the day of the show if entries have already closed. Once the eligibility time frame for that year has passed all participants return to the Open Class to complete for the following year Each dog handled in a Junior Showmanship Class must be entered in one of the Breed or Obedience Classes at the show, or must be entered for Junior Showmanship only. However, a dog may be substituted. Such substitution must be accompanied by an official AKC entry form. All such substitutions must be made one half-hour prior to the judging of any Junior Showmanship Classes at the show. Each dog must be owned or co-owned by the Junior Handler or by the Junior Handler's father, mother, brother, sister, uncle, aunt, grandfather or grandmother, including step and half relations or by a member of the Junior Handler's household. Every dog entered for Junior Showmanship must be eligible to compete in Dog Shows or in Obedience Trials. BITCHES IN SEASON ARE NOT ELIGIBLE. A dog that has been excused or disqualified by a Breed Judge or by a Bench Show Committee may still be handled in Junior Showmanship if eligible to compete in Obedience Trials. A dog that has been rejected, dismissed, or excused by the Veterinarian for the protection of the other dogs at the show or for the protection of the dog excused may not be handled in Junior Showmanship. Junior Handlers who win a third Novice Class with competition present after the closing of entries for a show may transfer their entry from the Novice Class to the Open Class provided that this transfer is made by the Superintendent at least one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of any regular conformation judging or one half-hour prior to the scheduled start of Junior Showmanship judging at the show, whichever is earlier. Winning of first place in an Open Class at this show may qualify or count toward qualification for entry in certain future limited Junior Showmanship Classes. For information on eligibility requirements for limited Junior Showmanship Classes which have been approved to date by AKC go online at www.akc.org. CHIC DNA BLOOD DRAW The Dalmatian Club of Southern California will be providing a free CHIC DNA Blood Draw at our July 5, 2018 specialty shows. NATIONAL OWNER HANDLED SERIES COMPETITION The AKC National Owner-Handled Series is a non-titling competition for dogs that are exhibited by their owners that are not professional handlers. All dogs that are owner-handled and are not owned or exhibited by professional handlers* meet the requirements for this competition. Exhibitors must declare their dog is Owner-Handled eligible at the time of entry using the check box on the entry form. Eligible dogs will be identified by an asterisk in the judge s book, steward s book & the catalog. Dogs must be handled throughout the breed level competition for the regular show by an eligible owner. Professional handlers, household members and current assistants** to professional handlers may not exhibit the dog in any competition during the entire show. Owner-Handled Best of Breed will be selected from the dogs that are eligible to compete in the Best of Breed competition including Winners Dog, Winners Bitch and winners of the non-regular classes. o If the Best of Breed/Variety winner is not eligible for Owner-Handled competition and the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety is eligible, the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety will compete against the eligible exhibits of the other sex to determine Owner- Handled Best of Breed/Variety. o If neither the Best of Breed nor the Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed/Variety are Owner-Handled competition eligible and Select Dog & Select Bitch are both eligible, the judge is to choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the Selects and eligible Winners Dog or Winners Bitch. o If one of the Selects is eligible, excuse all Champions and non-regular class winners of the same sex and then choose Best Owner-Handled exhibit from the remaining dogs of the opposite sex including the eligible Winners. o If Best of Breed, Best of Opposite Sex to Best of Breed, Select Dog & Select Bitch are not eligible, the judge may choose any eligible dog remaining in the ring including Winners Dog or Winners Bitch as Owner-Handled Best of Breed/Variety. o If the Best of Winners is eligible, the other Winner is ineligible since it was defeated. o No class dogs other than the Winners Dog & Winners Bitch are eligible to return to the ring. *Professional handlers are defined as any person who belongs or has belonged to a professional handlers organization, distributed rate cards, or otherwise advertised or represented themselves as handling dogs for pay within the last five years **A current assistant is defined as anyone employed by a professional handler on a full-time basis, or assisting a professional handler at the show or any during the cluster/weekend DAY OF SHOW PARKING. Lot A3, overflow in DG lot, and A2 (Obedience). Gates open at 6:00 a.m. Day of show parking is $10.00 and will be collected at the gate. CASH ONLY. Discount Parking Passes will be available at the entrance: 4 days for $30; 3 days for $25. CASH ONLY. Parking will be in designated lots, and is prohibited in fire lanes. No day of show parking in overnight parking areas. Please allow adequate time to get to your ring for judging in the event of parking congestion. Shuttle service from Day of Show Parking to rings will be available. Conformation Judging held in El Dorado & North Quad Obedience/Rally held in Big Rock Park ALL HANDICAPPED PARKING is in official, marked spaces. UNLOADING ZONES are located near the ring areas. You must leave the lights on during unloading. You may have to transport your dogs and equipment as far as 300 yards from the unloading zone to your ring area. Following unloading, cars must park in the Day of Show Parking Lot, A3 or DG Lot., or A2 Lot Obedience. NO UNLOADING ON THE STREET; CSUCI POLICE CAN AND WILL TICKET THOSE STOPPING/UNLOADING ON THE STREET. 10

NOTICE TO EXHIBITORS 1. Entries must reach the Show Secretary, M.L. (Peggy) Butler, 34743 Farm Road, Wildomar, CA 92595, by 12:00 Noon Wednesday, June 20, 2018. Fees should accompany entries. The Club and the Show Secretary assume no responsibility for wrong or incomplete information given on the entry blank by the owner or agent of the owner. The Club and the Show Secretary assume no responsibility for the owner or owner s agent entering a dog in a class in which the dog is not eligible to compete, or for entering the same dog twice. 2. Returned checks do not constitute a valid entry fee. The Show Secretary will add a collection fee to the amount of each returned check. Subsequent returned checks for the same exhibitors may result in their being put on a CASH ONLY basis. The returned check MUST BE MADE GOOD by cash or money order BEFORE the dog will be allowed in the ring. 3. Exhibitors confirmations and judging programs will be mailed to the address given on the entry blank. If not received within a reasonable time prior to the show, notify the Show Secretary. Confirmations returned by the Post Office marked Undeliverable will be held at the Show Secretary s office. PLEASE BRING YOUR CONFIRMATIONS TO THE SHOW. 4. During the hours of judging owners are to be on call, and have their dogs ready to bring into the judging ring promptly in order that judging will not be delayed. Dogs need only be present for their judging. Dogs not needed for further judging may be excused. It is the responsibility of the exhibitor to have his dog ready to be shown and at the entrance of the judging ring when the steward calls for the class. Owner of dogs or the handlers of the dogs alone are responsible for the presence of their dogs in the judging rings. This means it is not the responsibility of the ring steward, nor of any agent of the show-giving club to locate any dog, it s owner or handler, when the dog s presence is needed in a judging ring. It should be understood by every exhibitor and handler that waiting for dogs to be brought into the ring is a courtesy extended to the owner or handler of the dog. There is no rule of these clubs nor the American Kennel Club that requires a judge to wait for an owner or handler to bring his dog into the ring. Show hours 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. 5. Trophies and prizes will be awarded in the judging ring before the completion of the breed and the superintendents office advised at once, in the event of any discrepancy. All trophies must be claimed the day of the show. None will be mailed. 6. Exhibitors are admonished to make themselves familiar with the agreement of the American Kennel Club, referred to on the reverse side of the entry blanks that accompany the premium list. Rule books may be obtained from the A.K.C., 5580 Centerview Dr. Suite 200, Raleigh, NC 27606. 7. The club, the show secretary or the members or employees will not be responsible for the loss of or damage to any dog exhibited, whether the result of accident or other causes and in addition assumes no responsibility for any loss, damage or injury sustained by an exhibitor/owner or handler. It is distinctly understood that every dog at this show is in the care and custody and control of his owner or handler/agent during the entire time the dog is on the show premises. 8. No grooming tables, pens or exhibitor setups will be allowed in the aisles and all grooming must be done away from the judging ring in areas specified by the clubs. 9. Entry fees shall NOT be refunded in the event that a dog is absent, disqualified, sick, lame, excused by veterinarian or judge, barred from competition by action of the Event Committee, or because the dog is ineligible to compete due to being entered incorrectly. There is no refund of entry fees for duplicate entry. 10. There is no provision for unentered dogs at this show. 11. Declination of Entries. The Dalmatian Club Of Southern California, Inc. may decline any entries for cause and may refuse to receive or may remove any dog on account of disease, viciousness or other causes, and no one shall have any claim or recourse against the Club or any official thereof. 12. If, because of riots, civil disturbances or other acts beyond the control of the management, it is impossible to open or complete the show, no refund of entry will be made. 13. Do not leave any dogs in closed vehicles. 14. A recording fee of 50 cents for first entry and an event service fee of $3.00 per entry will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or Member Club Show. These Recording Fee and Event Service Fee are to be collected by the Show-giving Club and paid to the American Kennel Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class at the show, the fees are to be collected on the first entry only. (American Kennel Club Rule, Chapter 11, Section 2.) 15. Dogs which according to their owners records have completed the requirements for a championship after the closing of entries for the show but whose championships are unconfirmed, may be transferred from one of the regular classes to the Best of Breed Competition, provided this transfer is made by the Show Secretary at least one half hour prior to the start of the earliest Confirmation judging at the show. 11

OVERNIGHT PARKING There are two overnight parking lots, both next to the rings. Lot A11 is for RVs and Box Trucks, with power or without power. Lot A4 is for Box Trucks with or without power. Parking is on asphalt. Some parking in A11 will be on gravel. Parking is limited. Overflow overnight parking will be in Lot A3 with or without power. Minimum of 2 nights required. Priority will be given to earliest reservations, reserving 3 or 4 nights. Lot A11 will have both powered and non-powered spaces. Those wishing to park together must send their reservations together, have similar sized RV s, and all either requesting power or no power. Discharge of grey water or sanitary waste anywhere on the University Grounds is strictly prohibited. All fees and parking information must be received by June 16, 2018. Reserved parking fees are non- refundable after June 20, 2018. All RVs must have a working fire extinguisher. All RVs must use weight distribution blocks under all levelers. All RVs must have a proper exhaust pipe vented upward at least 8ft above ground level. All generators must be off between 10:00 pm and 6:00 am. Overnight Parking Arrival Hours: Wednesday 3:00 pm -10:00 p.m. Thursday - Saturday 6:00 am - 7:00 am. NOTE: All parking spaces are 22 wide by 40 long. RVs over 40 must purchase 2 spaces. UNRESERVED PARKING: $80.00 per night per space. Overnight parking is limited and space may not be available. ELECTRICAL HOOKUPS; RV electrical hookups will be available in overnight parking area A11 only and must be reserved and paid for 3 days minimum. Electrical hookup fees are nonrefundable after June 20, 2018. 30 amp RV connection cost is $65.00 per day. 50 amp RV connection cost is $125.00 per day. THERE IS A VERY LIMITED NUMBER OF 50 amp HOOKUPS. 50 amp power will be provided with 2-30 amp connections, and requires an adapter. Electric power will be available in overnight parking Lot A11 by 5:00 pm on Wednesday July 4 th. All electrical power will be turned off by 6:00 pm on Sunday. All electrical power is limited to hookups available. Anyone who hooks up to power without paying will be charged a full day price.
