Entries will be received until such time as the cooping capacity is reached. Due to space limitations, only the first 100 waterfowl entries will be accepted! 2. Efforts will be made to coop singly. We reserve the right to place more than one bird of the same variety in one coop, if owned by the same exhibitor. 3. NO SUBSTITUTIONS WILL BE PERMITTED UNLESS OF THE SAME BREED, VARIETY, AND SEX. 4. Birds will be fed, watered, and cared for by competent volunteers. It is suggested owners check birds daily. 5. During the continuance of the show, all birds will be examined carefully each day. Birds showing signs of disease will be segregated and properly cared for or returned to the owner at his expense. 6. The American Standard of Perfection of the American Poultry Association and the Bantam Standard of the American Bantam Association will govern poultry judging. 7. Premiums will be awarded only on birds exhibited in their proper classes and indicated by judges records. 8. A judge shall not officiate in a class where he has an entry. 9. Collusion between a judge and exhibitor will exclude all entries of the offending exhibitor from competition and awards. Exhibitor s protest relative to such collusion must be in writing.
10. No specimen is to be handled by anyone except the owner, the judges, or member of the show management unless the owner grants permission. 11. An Official Owner Endorsed Poultry Health Certificate (PA Department of Agriculture form AAI-50) statement for the animals being exhibited must be included with the show registration form. HEALTH REQUIREMENTS POULTRY, WATERFOWL & PIGEONS 1. All poultry, waterfowl and pigeons must bear a unique Individual Identification Leg Band. 2. Avian Influenza Clean Testing and Verification (all samples must be collected by a Certified Poultry Technician or an Accredited Veterinarian): Pennsylvania Out of State 1. All poultry and waterfowl (pigeons excluded) must originate from a flock in good standing in the PA Avian Influenza Monitored Flock Program, or the NPIP U.S. AI Clean Program OR 2. The birds must originate from a flock in which a minimum of 30 birds, 3 weeks of age or older, were tested negative for avian influenza (serology, virus isolation, or real-time reverse-transcriptase polymerase chain reaction (RRT-PCR) within 6 months (180 days) prior to the opening date of the exhibition and the birds are accompanied by the test report. If there are fewer than 30 birds in the flock, test all birds (RRT-PCR, virus isolation, or serology). For waterfowl, cloacal swab samples must be collected for testing, and the swabs must be tested using virus isolation techniques. Serology and PCR may not be used for waterfowl testing. 1. The birds originate from a flock in good standing in the NPIP Avian Influenza Clean Program (the flock must be participating in the NPIP AI Clean program it is not considered to be a clean flock if only originating from a clean breeder flock or hatchery) and the exhibition is accompanied by a USDA form 9-3 or other NPIP form. OR 2. The birds originate from a flock that participates in an equivalent avian influenza monitoring program and the shipment is accompanied by a document form the state, foreign nation or foreign province sponsored avian influenza monitoring program and the shipment is accompanied by a document from the state, nation or province of origin indicating participation. OR 3. Birds from flocks that are serologically positive shall not be imported unless the flock is determined to be free of virus by virtue of a negative virus detections test (virus isolation or RRT-PCR) of oropharyngeal, tracheal and/or cloacal specimens from a minimum of 150 birds. If there are fewer than 150 birds in the flock, test all birds. For waterfowl, cloacal swab samples must be collected for testing, and the swabs must be tested using virus isolation techniques. Serology and PCR may not be used for waterfowl testing. 3. Pullorum-Typhoid Clean Testing and Verification (all samples must be collected by a Certified Poultry Technician or an Accredited Veterinarian): Pigeons, doves and waterfowl excluded. Pennsylvania Out of State 1. All poultry must originate from a flock in good standing in the NPIP Pullorum-Typhoid Clean Program or from a flock in good standing in the PA Pullorum Equivalent Program and the birds must be accompanied by the most recent test report (copy acceptable). The test results MUST be negative. 2. Individual birds (pigeons and waterfowl excluded) must have had a negative pullorum-typhoid test within the 90 days prior to the opening date of the exhibition. The following age restrictions apply to comply with NPIP standards: Chickens shall be tested at 4 months of age or older; Turkeys shall be tested at 12 weeks of age or older; All birds not meeting these age restrictions must come from a flock in which all of the birds in the flock have been tested negative within 90 days prior to the exhibition 1. All poultry must come from NPIP Pullorum-Typhoid Clean flocks and the birds must be accompanied by a USDA form 9-3 or equivalent Department approved form. 2. Individual birds (pigeons and waterfowl excluded) must have had a negative pullorum-typhoid test within the 90 days prior to the opening date of the exhibition. The following age restrictions apply to comply with NPIP standards: Chickens shall be tested at 4 months of age or older; Turkeys shall be tested at 12 weeks of age or older; All birds not meeting these age restrictions must come from a flock in which all of the birds in the flock have been tested negative within 90 days prior to the exhibition. 4. Birds that have received LT RABBITS 1. All rabbits must have a permanent earmark and legible tattoo in the LEFT ear. 2. NO DOE AND LITTERS WILL BE ACCEPTED. 3. All rabbits are to be judged according to the latest standard of perfection to the American Rabbit Breeders Association with ARBA Show Rules to govern.
4. Rabbits will be shown in 4 Class and 6 Class Divisions. 5. All animals must be free from infectious and contagious diseases. 6. For Out of State entrants, a Certificate of Veterinary Inspection (CVI) issues within 60 days prior to the show date is required. All animals must be free from infectious and contagious diseases. Champion Youth Showmanship Prize In order for the full amount of premiums to be awarded there needs to be at least 2 exhibitors with a combined 5 entries in a department. For example, if exhibitor #1 enters 5 turkeys and no one else enters turkeys, then exhibitor #1 will receive the Reserve Champion Turkey premium. However, if exhibitor #1 enters 3 turkeys and exhibitor #2 enters 3 turkeys, then the Champion and Reserve Champion Turkeys premiums will be awarded. If there is only one exhibitor in a department, then only the Reserve Champion premium will be awarded.
