The Delmarva Poultry Fanciers Welcome You to the 2013 Spring Show Belgian D Uccle and Booted Bantam Breeders Club Eastern National March 23 and 24, 2013 Harrington, Delaware (SHOW IN MEMORY OF PHYLLIS DOWNES AND ROBERT ENGLISH) Delaware Health Requirements for Poultry Shows All exhibitors must show proof that poultry originated from a Pullorum-Typhoid-Free Flock and any breeder birds have been tested negative for Pullorum-Typhoid within one year. A random test of ten (10) birds per flock shall be tested negative for Avian Influenza within thirty (30) days of the show. Any approved official test (AI-AGID, AI-PRT, or VI) is acceptable and must be done by a state or federally approved laboratory. If an exhibitor has less that ten (10) birds in their flock than all birds shall be tested for AI. This requirement is for both in state and out of state birds. Exhibitors with flocks on a ninety (90) day U.S. NPIP Avian Influenza-Clean Flock Program are exempt from the 30 day requirement. For these flocks, proof of negative tests and the last two test dates shall accompany birds to the show. Exhibitors must have documentation of these tests available for viewing at the show. All birds will be inspected for general health upon presentation. Any birds showing clinical signs of any contagious or infectious disease will be removed from the show. Exhibitors unable to get their birds tested for A.I. are encouraged to contact Bob Moore at the Delaware Department of Agriculture at (302) 698-4500.
