South on TX 16 (Sidney Baker) to first traffic light (approx. 0.3 mile). Turn left onto Loop 543. Follow Loop 543 to TX 27 (2nd traffic light, approx. 5.0 miles). Turn left onto TX 27. Hill Country Youth Exhibition Center will be on your right (approx. 0.5 miles). The Exhibit Hall where the Obedience Trial will be held is in the west part of the building (your right as you face the building). Map to site is shown on page 14. If you are coming directly to the show site from San Antonio, you can take Exit 524 from I10 and follow TX 27 to the show site (show site will be on your left, 15+ miles from Exit 524, after the Kerrville Municipal Airport which will be on your right). The premium list is available at sadtc.org By using the web-site, exhibitors may pay for their entries using PayPal. If you choose to use this option, you must ensure that your entry form (front and back) reaches the Trial Secretary by the closing date (Feb 15, 2012). The State of Texas requires that all dogs over three months of age be vaccinated for rabies and proof of vaccination must accompany the dog in travel. Have your proof of vaccination with you (tags are not sufficient). Kerr County now requires rabies vaccination only every three years. For all classes, both Obedience and Rally, that involve jumps, entries will be judged in order of jump height. On Saturday, the jump height order will be low to high (starting with 4 in both Obedience and Rally), On Sunday, jump height order will be high to low (starting with 36 in Obedience, 16 in Rally). Please put the jump height for your dog on the entry form so San Antonio Dog Training Club may set the proper order of judging. 4 13

ATTENTION EXHIBITORS (continued) Bitches in season will not be permitted within the trial precincts. Entry fees will not be refunded in the event a bitch entered in the trial comes into season after the closing date for entries. Entry fees shall not be refunded in the event a dog is absent, disqualified, excused by the Veterinarian or Judge, or barred from competition by action of the Obedience Trial Committee, or because the dog is ineligible to compete because it has been entered incorrectly. Entry fees will not be refunded if the Trial cannot open or be completed by reason of riots, civil disturbances, fire, extreme and/or dangerous weather conditions, an Act of God, public emergency, act of a public enemy, strikes or any other cause beyond the control of the Club or the Trial Secretary. San Antonio Dog Training Club reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value. No dogs except those entered will be allowed in the Trial building. Move-Ups: Move-Ups will be allowed. The request for a move-up must be in writing and presented to the Trial Secretary at least 30 minutes prior to the start of each trial. If you wish to move-up on Saturday, please try to notify the Trial Secretary by the close of business on Wednesday February 28, 2012 Dogs need be present only for scheduled judging according to the judging program. Dogs must be ready for judging. The Club and its Trial Secretary will not be responsible or obligated to furnish any service for notifying exhibitors or their agents of class judging. San Antonio Dog Training Club, the Trial Secretary, their agents, employees, etc., assume no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury sustained by exhibitors, handlers, or to any of their dogs or property and further assumes no responsibility for injury to children. No awards will be mailed. No awards will be made after the closing of the trial. All awards not claimed and picked up by the exhibitor or his agent prior to the closing of the trial will become the property of San Antonio Dog Training Club. It has a concrete floor. All rings will have sufficient matting so that dogs can perform on the mats. RV Parking permitted in Exhibition Center parking area. (no charge and NO HOOKUPS). Please be considerate. Absolutely no dumping. Crating space is limited. Please stack crates. No ex-pens..exhibitors will be allowed to set up crates before the show on Friday evening (March 2) between the hours of 5 P.M. and 8 P.M. ONLY! PLEASE crate only in the designated areas. No dogs may be left at the trial site overnight. For the Wild Card classes (Novice, Open, and Utility): These classes are specified in the Obedience Regulations (amended to January 1, 2011). The designated classes follow the Obedience Regulations and requirements for each class level: Novice, Open, and Utility. One difference is that, when checking in for the class, the handler will identify one of the required exercises in that class as their wild card. The handler may choose to perform or not to perform the exercise, but in any case the dog and handler will receive a perfect score for this one exercise. Also, verbal praise during the exercises, except for the signal exercise in Utility, is to be encouraged and not penalized. Handlers may give additional commands but they will be penalized accordingly. ATTENTION EXHIBITORS A Recording Fee of 50 cents and $3.00 AKC Service Fee (for each regular/optional titling class) will be required for each dog entered at any Licensed or member Club Show or Obedience Trial. These Fees are to be collected by the Show-giving Club. If a dog is entered in more than one class in the show, the Service Fee is to be collected for each class in which the dog is entered The Fees are included in your Entry Fee. A Recording Fee of $3.00 will be required for each dog entered in any Licensed or member Club Rally Trial class. In addition, a fee of $.50 will be required for the first entry of each dog in a Rally class. These Fees are to be collected by the Show-giving Club. The Fees are included in your Entry Fee. Entries must be made on an Official American Kennel Club form, signed by the actual owner or his duly authorized agent. Please TYPE or PRINT entry forms. A dog may be entered in the same class(es) for both days using a single entry form. Please check the day or days for which the entry is applicable.
