It will help you understand the needs of retired racers. While this application will be part of your final adoption record, this questionnaire is intended to open further dialogue and inspire additional questions you may have regarding adoption of this wonderful breed. As sighthounds, greyhounds have excellent eye sight. They are social, friendly and curious. They also love to run. Due to these traits greyhounds can only be off leash in fully enclosed area with a fence 4 or higher. Do you agree to keep your greyhound in an enclosed area or on a leash at all times? We advocate the use of them to help your greyhound lean the rules of your home and remain safe when they are home alone. Are you willing to purchase a crate if it seems necessary? Comments: Representatives of our organization plan informal visits to your home prior to greyhound placement. This visit will assist uncovering possible dangers or concerns your greyhound may face. We always arrange these visit/s at your convenience. We also try to bring your chosen greyhound at the time of the first visit but sometimes that is not possible and a second visit will be necessary with the selected greyhound.
