AWARDS TITLE COMPLETION: Grand Championship GCh. Ch. Melrose And Noatak's Timrjan Timber finished her Grand Championship Title the first weekend back from the Rocky Mountain Siberian Husky Club Specialty where she picked up 5 points towards her Grand Championship by going Best of Opposite Sex at the Saturday specialty. Timber loves to show. She will yell at me on the weekend if we are not up at the crack of dawn heading out for a show. And she is really upset if we have a few weeks in between shows and she gets a bath on a non dog show weekend. If she gets a bath we had better be heading off to a dog show as far as she is concerned!! And Timber has done us proud. In the last year of showing she has picked up a Group 1 in the Owner Handler competition, an Award of Merit at the 2012 National Specialty, Back to Back Best of Opposite Sex wins to her litter brother at the No. California Siberian Husky Club Specialties and multiple Best of Breed wins. Timber is so much fun to show with her great ring attitude and her wonderful temperament of never meeting a stranger. We are now working towards her Bronze Grand Championship and have only 10 pts to go! AWARDS TITLE COMPLETION: Championship Ch. Hidden Treasure's Sundance Kid The "Kid" was born as a singleton puppy. From the beginning he was a husky Husky and very powerful. We brought a friend's puppies to visit and let him visit them, so that he would learn social etiquette of "how to be a dog". Nevertheless, he wanted to play with us...which meant "Let's wrestle". He was never aggressive, just did not know the power of his own strength. Sundance Kid also had a very short attention span. Therefore, when it came to show training, he would rather be off chasing butterflies. In the show ring, he was distracted by everything inside and outsid the ring, hoping there might be someone who want to play. Showing him in conformation competition was a challenge, to say the least! Nevertheless, Sundance Kid is a good specimen of the breed and definitely a capable working dog. He has a fast, powerful Gait making it difficult for me, as an older handler, to keep up with him and to show that gait properly. I was able to earn all his minor points with very few shows having enough entries to qualify as majors. Finally, I decided to enter him in the Open class and let a friend show him. She is young, very adept anda ble to move a dog to full advantage. She showed him in the next two major shows and was able to complete his championship. Since that time, another friend who does sledding asked us if he could try using the Sundance Kid on his team as a wheel Dog. We watched our dog finish a run without even panting and anxious to go again. Our powerful dog became a strong asset as a sled dog. This year the musher exclaimed "I wish I had a whole team of Sundance Kids." That power of this dog is now being used in the best manner. As far as Kid is concerned, this is what he was meant to do! AKC: WS310855/01 OFA SH-17589G24M-VPI CERF/SHOR SH-9259; 5/25/12 Breeder: Bonnie & Josh Wilson Owner: Bonnie & Josh Wilson Sire: Charlyn's Lightening In My Veins Dam: Hidden Treasure's Music O'Night Birthdate: May 11, 2009 Title Completion: August 19, 2012

AWARDS TITLE COMPLETION: Rally Novice Kochevoey's Black Rock Ranger RN From early on, we realized Ranger was willing to do about anything for treats. He also watches other dogs and listens intently to commands from trainer, handler and judge. The latter is a problem as he won't always wait for my command but responds to what the judge has said. "Exercise Finished" means "we are done now" and he heads for the exit. He loves going to classes and greeting all the club members he knows with his deep Woo Woo. We have been through one class of Noice Work, one class of Rally, and one class of Agility and a series of Agility Workshops. So I am proud of how well he has done with such limited training. He also has one leg of his Beginner Novice and we hope to finish that one this summer. Despite putting obedience titles on several Siberians in the past, I had not competed in obedience since 1980. The newer AKC titling events were as new to me as Ranger. He finished his Rally Novice title in three consecutive shows. His scores are not high but I believe more of the point deductions were due to me being unfamiliar with the various Rally exercises. There are many different exercises and no course is the same or includes them all. AKC: WS401472/01 OFA: Too Young for OFA CERF/SHOR: Not provided CHIC: 34559 Breeder: Nancy K.
