Dr. Judi M. Roller GLIWA Education Seminars and Heart Testing The activities do not end on Saturday, please join GLIWA on Sunday morning for education seminars. Sunday, October 15 Education Seminars: Judi Roller's original breed was collies, an interest generated in elementary school from multiple re-readings of Albert Payson Terhune's "Lad" books. She began studying collies and attending specialties in the 70s. Her first bitch was from the '76 BOS bitch at the CCA national. Her second bitch, Ch. Raptorvale Lothlorien, finished with four, four-point specialty majors in five shows. More recently, her Ch. Chatham's Moon Shadow at Rivendell took the open blue class at the CCA national. She acquired her first pet IW in 1989 from Ygdrasil; Galadriel lived to nine and perished from a rattlesnake or brown recluse spider bite. Deciding she wanted a show dog the next time, she contacted Pam Paloma in 2003 and took home a beautiful puppy dog in 2004. That puppy became Ch. Erinwood Rivendell Gandolf, a lovely boy who was the sole IW entry in his second show and garnered his first point at that show at 14 months with a G1. She now has two of his grandkids, Ch. Rivendell's Feliz Navidad and Ch. Rivendell's Mele Kalikimaka, who are well-loved. She has attended and shown at several IW nationals, Locust Grove, GLIWA, and the Northstar Regional Specialty. In completing the requirements for her AKC judging license application, Judi has judged many matches, including a collie specialty match and a basenji specialty match. For her the key word in matches is "fun. She wants the hounds to have fun and have a good experience; if they do, so will their significant people. She feels honored to be invited to judge the 2017 GLIWA match and looks forward to the fun times. 10:00 a.m. Grooming Your Irish Wolfhound by Maria Lubera 10:45 a.m. Canine Nutrition by Chris Krowzack-Bernstein, D.V.M. 11:30 a. m.
