Classes Offered Regular Classes: The following CKC classes (divided by sex) will be offered at this Specialty: 6-9 months; 9-12 months; 12-18 months; Canadian Bred; Bred By Exhibitor; Open; Veteran; Specials Only Veteran s Class: shall be for all dogs 7 years of age and over. Dogs in this class do not compete for points and the winner of each class goes directly on to compete at the Best of Breed level. They may also be spayed or neutered. Baby Puppy: Dogs 3-6 months of age on the day of the Specialty. Sexually Altered Classes: Two classes will be offered: Altered Male and Altered Female Non-Regular Classes: (All dogs must be entered in Regular classes. Veterans, Altered or For Exhibition Only to compete in the following non-regular classes: Brace: Two dogs (either sex or mixed) shown on one lead, not necessarily owned by the same owner. Stud Dog & Get: Stud dog and TWO or more of his get, not necessarily owned by the same owner Brood Bitch & Progeny: Brood bitch and TWO or more of her progeny, not necessarily owned by the same owner. BOOSTER The Finnish Lapphund Club of Canada is pleased to consider the judging of Guy Jeavons on Sunday August 28, 2016 a BOOSTER. Rosettes and/or Prizes will be offered for BOB, BOS, BOW, WM,WF, BP, SD, SB JUVENILE / VETERAN SWEEPSTAKES The following classes will be offered, divided by sex: Juvenile: 3-6 months; 6-9 months; 9-12 months; 12-18 months The winner of all eight classes will compete for Best in Juvenile Sweepstakes and Best of Opposite Sex in Sweepstakes. Veterans: 7 10 years; 10+ years PRIZES 1 st 4 th place in each class: Rosette Fist in each class: 35% of class entry plus ribbon Best in Juvenile Sweeps: 25% of overall sweeps entry + ribbon Best Of Opposite Sex in Juvenile Sweeps: 15% of overall sweeps entry + ribbon Best In Veteran Sweeps: 25% of overall sweeps entry + ribbon Best Of Opposite Sex in Veterans Sweeps: 15% of overall sweeps entry + ribbon The remainder of entry fees will be retained by the Club. JUNIOR HANDLING Conformation only on Saturday August 27, 2016 The following classes will be offered: Pee Wee(non-competitive) / Junior Novice / Intermediate Novice / Senior Novice / Junior / Open / Intermediate Open / Senior Open Age Structure: Pee Wee (4 6 years); Junior (7-11 years); Senior (12 18 years) PRIZES Pee Wee Regular Classes 1st Best Overall Handler Ribbon Ribbon + Prize Ribbon + Prize Held under CKC Rules. Dogs handled in the competition must be entered in the show/trial on that day. The CKOC will be offering a rosette for the Best Overall Junior Handler **Please Note: Effective Jan. 1, 2016 - Section 3.4.1 All Junior Handlers with the exception of Pee Wees, must apply to CKC Head Office on the appropriate form for a Junior Handling Number within 30 days of competing in their first Junior Handling event. This Junior Handling Number will be used by the Junior Handler for the duration of their Junior Handling career. If a Junior Handling number is not obtained, Junior Handling points earned will not be tracked. SPECIALTY DINNER AND AUCTION We invite you to join us for a specialty dinner on Saturday August 27, 2016 at approximately 6:00pm. We have reserved space at Boston Pizza 826-51st Street Saskatoon, Sk. Due to consistently fluctuating currency rates, discounted cheques will not be accepted. Personal cheques will be accepted, however, they are to be payable in Canadian funds. If you send a cheque in U.S. funds it must be made out for the full amount of the entry and no exchange will be refunded to the exhibitor. Please do not mark cheques Payable in Canadian Funds or At Par. They will not be cleared by the banks. To simplify the process, we urge that you purchase bank drafts or money orders payable in Canadian funds. Your understanding and co-operation is appreciated. Thank you. TRACKING FEE FOR NON-MEMBERS Effective January 1, 2011, the CKC will be instituting a tracking fee for all Canadian residents who participate in a CKC event, but are not CKC members. In order to cover the clerical costs of recording and tracking points and awards earned at a CKC event, a participating non-member can choose to purchase a CKC membership or pay a dog-specific tracking fee ($55.00). This only applies to dogs wholly owned by non-members and is not applicable to CKC members or dogs co-owned with a CKC member. In order for the CKC to efficiently manage recording and tracking points, it s important that non-members select one of the two options within 30 days of notification or, unfortunately, we will be forced to cancel any awards and titles.

EVENT REGISTRATION NUMBER (ERN) To obtain an ERN: Send a photocopy of the dog s Registration Certificate reflecting current ownership with a written request for an ERN number. Please indicate coat type and size, if applicable. Fee for an Event Registration Number with the CKC is $55.00 + GST of 5%. Include your payment in the full amount in Canadian funds. Payment may be made with VISA or MasterCard, personal or business cheque or money order. For Non-Members, please note that if paying by cheque, the cheque must be certified. Non- residents of Canada, please note that discounted cheques or money orders will not be accepted due to fluctuating currency rates. Provide us with your full return address. Faxed requests will be accepted. Please ensure that your VISA or MasterCard number is legible and you have included your expiry date and signature. An ERN must be obtained within thirty (30) days of obtaining points, awards or scores to avoid cancellation. If factors beyond your control prohibit this or present a problem, please send a written request for a thirty (30) day extension. The Conformation Show Committee Chair shall promptly report to the CKC any infringement of this regulation, and the Discipline Committee shall have the authority to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report indicating that this has occurred. Notice to All Canadian Residents Only New CKC Rule Section 24-12-3. Non-member participation fee A) An annual non-member participation fee for awards and titles will be charged to a Canandian non-member of CKC. B) In order to protect the awards/titles earned, the non-member will have a choice either to become a CKC member or to pay the non-member participation fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will cause all awards and titles to be cancelled. CHAMPIONS AND CHAMPIONSHIP POINTS A dog awarded WINNERS at a Championship show shall be credited with a number of championship points (ranging from 0 to 5) and the number of championship points credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be as provided hereunder. The schedule to be employed in the determination of the number of points awarded WINNERS shall be as follows: Competing* 1 2 3-5 6-9 10-12 13 or more Points 0 1 2 3 4 5 *Includes the dog awarded Winners In counting the number of eligible dogs in competition, a dog that is disqualified, dismissed, excused or ordered from the ring by the judge shall NOT be included in the calculation for points. If a dog awarded WINNERS is also awarded BEST OF BREED at the show, then all dogs competing in the breed, including Specials Only, shall be included in the total. If a dog awarded WINNERS is also awarded BEST OF OPPOSITE SEX to Best of Breed, then all dogs of the same sex including those competing for Specials Only shall be included in the total. If a dog is awarded WINNERS is also awarded BEST OF WINNERS, then all dogs defeated directly or indirectly in the breed shall be included in the total. If a dog is awarded WINNERS only, then all the dogs of the same sex in the class competition shall be included the total. The number of championship points to be credited to a dog awarded WINNERS shall be determined by the highest award earned and calculated as per Section 15.1. In addition to championship points allocated at the breed level, a dog awarded WINNERS, which also places in the regular Group competition, shall be credited with the following additional points provided that a dog was defeated at the Group level. In no case can a dog earn more then five points at a single show.

An error in the class, date of birth or sex may be amended on the entry form up to one hour BEFORE the start of the show. GENERAL INFORMATION The Show Superintendent will be in full charge of the show which will be governed by CKC rules. All rules and regulations, as outlined in the Saskatoon Kennel & Obedience Kennel Club premium list, will also apply to this Specialty Entries will be acknowledged after entry closing. If such acknowledgment has not been received after one week after the closing of entries please contact the Show Secretary. CATALOGUE ADVERTIZING We welcome your advertisement in our show catalogue.
