Four Seasons Agility and Up and Over Dog Sports is collaborating on a special Western New York championship.

Western New York Agility Grand Champion Series Co-sponsored by Four Seasons Agility and Up & Over Dog Sports This series will encompass the following six trials in 2016: Four Seasons Agility (indoors), Epic Center, Williamsville, NY May 6-8 Up and Over Dog Sports (outdoors), Knox Farm, East Aurora, NY - May 28-29 Up and Over Dog Sports (outdoors), Knox Farm, East Aurora, NY June 17-19 Up and Over Dog Sports (outdoors), Knox Farm, East Aurora, NY August 5-7 Four Seasons Agility (outdoors), Akron Animal Hospital, Akron, NY - August 26-28 Four Seasons Agility (indoors), Epic Center, Williamsville, NY - October 14-16 How does it work: All dogs (no matter what their competition level) are eligible for all awards. High in trial awards/overall champion awards are based on the number of Q points earned (most Q's are worth 10 points, bonus lines are worth 15-20 points, 5 point Q's are possible in Regular only) by the dog, regardless of what level they were earned at. Ties will be broken by High in Trial points, which are earned on each qualifying run and are computed by the Standard Course Times minus the dog's time plus faults. At the end of the series, an overall champion will be named and first through fourth placement trophies will be awarded based on the number Q points earned over the course of the entire series. Ties will be broken by the cumulative high in trial points earned through the series' events. Competitors do not need to enter all five trials to be eligible for awards. The overall standings will be updated after each trial on both Four Seasons Agility's and Up and Over Dog Sports' websites throughout the season. If you have any questions about the series, please contact us at fourseasonsnadac@gmail.com. Trial questions for Four Seasons Agility may be directed to Mike Wolff at wolff94@roadrunner.com and questions regarding Up and Over Dog Sports trials may be directed to Mike Wolff at upandoverdogsports@roadrunner.com. A New Title Rosette will be awarded for those achieving a qualifying score that earned them a title. A NATCH Rosette will be awarded to those who earn these titles during our trial. Please let us know in advance if you could complete your NATCH at our trial. First though fourth placement ribbons will be awarded in all classes except Chances which is a pass/fail event. Exhibitors should research the Skilled and Proficient Categories on the NADAC website (www.nadac.com) to decide which category to enter 4, 8, 12 and 16 Junior Handler and Veteran Division jump heights along with 8, 12, 16, 20 and 20+ Standard jump heights will be individually placed. Skilled and Proficient categories will be separated for placements. Jump Heights: Dogs entered in the Proficient Category must jump at the minimum jump height specified by the following table. Dogs entering the Skilled Category MUST jump one jump height lower than the heights listed in the table. Skilled dogs run against the Standard Course Time of that jump height and are placed with those dogs. Standard 11 & under Jumps 8 Small Dogs Medium Dogs Large Dogs 14 & under Jumps 12 18 & under Jumps 16 20 & under Jumps 20 Over 20 are in the 20+ class; Jumps 20 Jr. Handler 11 & under Jumps 4 14 & under Jumps 8 18 & under Jumps 12 Over 18 Jumps 16 (May NOT jump higher) Veterans 11 & under Jumps 4 14 & under Jumps 8 18 & under Jumps 12 Over 18 Jumps 16 (May NOT jump higher) * Measuring: Dogs with permanent height cards or in the Skilled category do not need to be measured. All dogs entered in the Proficient Category in Novice, Open or Elite jumping 4, 8, 12 or 16 are required to be measured (except Veteran or Junior Handler dogs jumping 16 ). Dogs jumping 20 and 20+ are not required to be measured. Measurement forms may be obtained at http://nadac.com/application-for-permanent-height-card.htm. Veteran or Disabled Handler: Handlers who are 60 years or older, or who have a disability that restricts mobility, may choose to enter the nonjumping classes as a Veteran Handler and receive 10% more standard course time. This option is for Veteran/Disabled handlers in the non-jumping classes only. This is designed for handlers who, due to age or impairment, are mobility limited and need extra time to guide their canine partners through an agility course. When entering as a Veteran/Disabled Handler, you must enter all dogs in all classes for the entire trial in this Division and must jump 4 lower than your Proficient, Standard Division jump height requires. In the non-jumping classes, dogs will be scored and placed with their Standard Division jump height. Intro Classes We are proud to announce the addition of "Intro" as a level to the NADAC program! "Intro" is a level for the classes, just like Novice, Open and Elite. So now there are four levels to each class... Intro, Novice, Open and Elite. The Intro level will be a shorter course than Novice. The only Intro level class with weaves will be Intro Weavers and it will have one set of 6 poles. No other classes will have weaves in them. The Intro level will have no tunnel/contact discriminations. The Intro level is a full titling level with the basic titles at 30 points, Outstanding Performance at 60 points (100 points for Regular) and Superior Performance at 100 points (200 points for Regular). In Intro, dogs may jump any jump height lower than their regulation height. Dogs may NOT jump higher than their regulation height. You do NOT have to start in Intro, you can start your dog s NADAC career in Novice!!!!!!
