All AKC Rules & Regulations apply. Complaints lodged against any exhibitor or exhibitors will be under the auspices of the DCA Show Event Committee. Exhibitors must maintain these facilities in a clean & orderly fashion. The Show Event Committee will take disciplinary action against an exhibitor for any infringement of AKC Rules & Regulations regarding show sites & sportsmanship. The hotel will charge a one time, non-refundable pet fee of $50.00 per room with pet. Additionally, if there are damages to the room or hotel, charges will be assessed and billed to individual guest. Any exhibitor who allows his/her dogs to be loose & unattended in a room or to damage hotel property & does not immediately contact the hotel management to make proper restitution will be subject to a Show Event Committee action which could result in the loss of AKC privileges. If it is determined by the Committee hearing that rules are being neglected & destruction and/or misuse of property is taking place, the Committee has the authority to correct the problem or seek AKC suspension. The hotel will designate an area outside the Conference Center kitchen for dog washing stations. The hotel will transport guests and their dogs to and from the airport. Dog crates can be broken down and dogs will be permitted to ride with their owners as long as they are on a lead. It is helpful to the hotel to have arrival/departure times of guests to ensure appropriate staffing and reduce shuttle wait times. Dogs are prohibited in the restaurant, lounge, on 8th floor, and banquet/meeting rooms. (With the exception of grooming and show areas) A maximum of four (4) dogs allowed in each guest room (each must have its own crate) Under no circumstances will dog washing be permitted in hotel guest rooms. The hotel staff will report an infraction of this rule immediately to hotel management, which will then contact the DCA Show Chairman for immediate action. Dogs must be crated when unattended in guest rooms. Housekeepers will not service rooms in which dogs are loose and unattended. Either individual owners or the Dalmatian Club of America will be required to provide plastic under each crate. DCA guests with dogs in their rooms will use a door hanger provided by DCA at check in to indicate the presence of a dog in their room. It will be the responsibility of the Dalmatian Club of America to make sure all guests comply with the housekeeping staff of the hotel. Owners/Exhibitors must clean up after their dogs inside and outside the hotel. Please restrict dogs to designated outside potty and walking areas. Appropriate waste disposal bags must be used for cleanup. Upon arrival at The Holiday Inn Portland Airport, the guests with dogs in their rooms will sign a copy of the DCA Hotel Rules, which will be submitted to the hotel staff and placed on file. The hotel will not register a DCA guest staying in a room with dogs unless the signed copy of the Rules is presented by each person. These rules are in addition to hotel s policies already outlined above. 2014 DALMATIAN NATIONAL CLUSTER 11
