ENTRIES The club may only accept entries for cats that are registered with a recognised control body. Household Pets are not required to be registered. A first time exhibitor can apply for a Day C.A.T. Inc. Membership. Please check to ensure your cat(s) details are entered correctly ENTRY DETAILS: Breed, Class, Colour and Age is the information used on the judge s slips. Name, TITLE, DOB, Registration Number and other entry form information is used for the paperwork in the Catalogue, COTY Points, Certificates and Result Record Sheets. So please check and ensure they are correct. Check Catalogue on show day and Report Errors & Omissions to the Show Secretary prior to the commencement of judging. ENTRY PAYMENT TO BE PAID & FINALISED PRIOR TO THE COMMENCEMENT OF JUDGING REFUSAL OF ENTRIES as per C.A.T. Inc. Rules and Regulations 25.9 WITHDRAWAL OF ENTRIES Notify Show Secretary directly of any WITHDRAWALS A.S.A.P. If possible prior to the show. VETERINARY EXAMINATION Inline vetting of cats In accordance with the C.A.T. Inc. rules, veterinary examination of exhibits will be in-line. The Veterinary Surgeon is authorised to disqualify any cat from taking part in the exhibition, that in his/her opinion is suffering from any contagious - infectious disease or has external parasites, or has been treated or prepared for exhibition in contravention of the Rules and Regulations of the C.A.T. Inc. The Veterinary Surgeon s decision, in this regard, is final. Should the Veterinary Surgeon reject one of an exhibitor's cats for reasons of contagious or infectious disease or evidence of external parasites, all the exhibitor's entries may be rejected at the discretion of the Veterinary Surgeon. No person may knowingly exhibit a cat which has been exposed to the risk of infectious or contagious disease. BENCHING EXHIBITORS ARE RESPONSIBLE TO DISINFECT THEIR CAGES OWNER OWNED SHOW CAGES From the 1st January 2014 C.A.T. Inc. require exhibitors using their own cages that do not have solid sides to provide a solid barrier to the cage. They must be lined on each side and the back with a solid material (e.g. poly flute) to prevent cats from having contact with other cats. Exhibitors may place this liner inside the cage or affix it securely to the outside. Cage doors must be easily opened by stewards and judges and not hindered in any way by cage fronts or water bowls. Hot water bottles must be completely enclosed. CLEANING UP - Cages must be kept clean by exhibitors. Any litter spilt on the floor must be cleaned up by the exhibitor before leaving. JUDGING The judge's decision shall be final unless such decision is contrary to the Rules and Regulations of the C.A.T. Inc. Judges are empowered and instructed to withhold any prize, special prize, Challenge Certificate, Certificate of Excellence or A.C.F. Award if they consider the exhibits are not of sufficient merit. The Judge may award a second or third place instead of a first or second place. NEGATIVE COMMENTS OR BEHAVIOUR AT SHOWS Are seen as bad sportsmanship and as such detrimental to the cat fancy and CAT Inc. Offensive comments & behaviour about or toward judges, committee members, other exhibitors, visitors or cats, are not tolerated and should be reported to the C.A.T. Inc. representative who will report to the C.A.T. Inc. committee where the matter will be dealt with as a disciplinary matter. MOBILE PHONES Turn off / or silent mode in the show hall. Exhibitors speaking on a mobile phone in the show hall must move away from any ring where judging is in progress.
