THE CORPORATION OF THE CITY OF BRAMPTON IN'l"EI~ ()I'-""FICE MEM( )RANI)UM To Mr. K. R. Richardson Date January 9, 1978 From Judi th E. Hendy Subject BY-LAW NUMBER 235-76 - A by-law to regulate the keeping of animals and birds, etc., Our File No. 37 Further to our conversation of Friday's date, this is to advise you that a recent review of the above noted by-law brought to my attention the fact that paragraph 1 of the by-law would appear to be improperly worded and it would seem that at the time the by-law was prepared, certain words were accidentally omitted from paragraph 1. I believe the paragraph should read as follows: "That no person shall within the City of Brampton, in the area set out in Schedule "A" attached hereto, keep any domestic fowl, cattle, goats, sheep, swine, mink, foxes, poisonous reptiles, cats other than those of the felis domestica species, or any other animals, except dogs (By-law 87-74) except in accordance with the provisions of this By-law." I also note in the last line of paragraph 3, sub-paragraph (a) the word "or" is used and it would appear the correct word should have been "of". I thought it appropriate to bring these matters to your attention and perhaps consideration could be given to amending the particular paragraphs of the by-law at some appropriate time or perhaps when other amendments are being processed. ~ l~ \ JEH/dl.,'- ="---=.-===._==-===="..."9 RECEaVED DATE... ~.. \.l:>.\::j.~....
