Catering the venue will have their onsite canteen open selling the usual breakfast foods and then home made hot lunch meals. When you sign your entry form, you are agreeing to help at the show for one hour on each day you are entered. If you do not wish to help then please do not enter a BAA show. If everyone does their bit, then no one should need to work more than an hour or so! No one is expected to forgo running their dog in the process of helping. Leagues FREE to enter! SHOW RULES British Agility Association Rules for Agility Competitions apply to these events. Full copies of show and competition rules available on the BAA website. www.baa.uk.net 1. Training is not permitted on the course except during NFC runs. 2. Training aides are not permitted in or around the rings, with the exception of NFC runs. 3. Competitors are required to help for 1 hour on each day that they are competing. 4. The show organiser reserves the right to refuse entries. 5. In the event of over subscription entries may be limited. 6. Competitors enter at their own risk and must sign and date the declaration on the entry form. 7. All participating dogs must be aged 18 months or over, with the exception of 16 and 17 month old dogs entering the veteran classes. Dogs aged 16 and 17 months may enter the veteran classes and run NFC. They can either run the course and obtain a clear round rosette if they do well, or they can use the course time to train in the ring. 8. In the unlikely event that any BAA event is cancelled, the organisers reserve the right to deduct unrecoverable expenses incurred before returning entry fees. 9. The show organiser reserves the right to combine/split classes depending on entry levels. 10. Please respect the venue and pick up after your dogs (anyone found not picking up after their dog will be excluded from future BAA shows), and also dispose of all rubbish responsibly. 11. Competitors are solely responsible for ensuring that they are available for their classes. 12. Please queue at least six feet apart & keep clear of the ring Exit 13. Have fun with your pet dogs! 14. Respect other people and their dogs and always ask before approaching or interacting with a dog that you don t know. Winner will qualify for a place in the British Agility Championships Grand Prix Final Jumping Standard jumping course. Triple A Agility Standard agility course where the only piece of contact equipment is the a-frame which must be negotiated three times. Steeplechase Qualifier A fast and flowing course of just jumps and tunnels. This is open to all levels except veterans who have their own class. The winner of each height will qualify for a place in the British Agility Championships Grand Prix Final. This will include, online running orders (ONLY FOR THOSE WHO TICKED THE BOX ON THE ENTRY FORM), ring plans, general show information. Please note that the online running orders ARE NOT SENT BY E-MAIL. For those wishing to take advantage of our Online Running Orders service, please tick the box on the entry form & do not send an SAE. Please include your Email address. HEIGHTS A dog may be entered in ONE height category only, Micro, Tiny, Mini, Medium, Maxi or Maxi-Plus Please check definitions below you may find your dog is eligible at a different height category than you compete elsewhere. You may also have a choice of height category. Please specify jump height category on the entry form. All dogs must be measured at the shows. Micro For dogs measuring 13ins (33cm) & under at the withers Maximum permitted jump height is 9ins (23cm). (Dogs between 13 & 14 have a choice Micro or Mini Tiny 11.5ins (29.21cm) Jumps. Dogs measuring under 13 inches (33cm) have a choice Tiny or Micro Mini For dogs measuring between 14 (35.6cm) or over & up to 16 (40.7cm) at the withers. Maximum permitted jump height is 13.75 (35cm). (Dogs between 16 & 17 have a choice Mini or Medium) (Dogs over 21 weighing 35 45kg may jump Mini) Medium Dogs measuring between 17 (43.3cm) or over & up to 20 (50.8cm) at the withers. Maximum permitted jump height is 17.75 (45cm). (Dogs between 20 & 21 have a choice Medium or Maxi) (Dogs over 21 weighing 25 35kg may jump Medium). Maxi Dogs measuring between 21 (53.4cm) or over & up to 24 (61cm) at the withers. Maximum permitted jump height is 21 (53.4cm). Maxi Plus Dogs measuring over 24 (61cm) at the withers. Level Classification Introductory, Primary, Novice, Graduate, Masters & Veteran. You may enter at a jump height lower than in the size definitions above, but you must enter NFC. For dogs new to BAA please enter level as follows: All dogs AND handlers new to agility should enter as INTRODUCTORY. Handlers with new dogs that have never competed at Novice or above should enter their new dogs as INTRODUCTORY. Dogs/handlers that compete under other organisations are required to make INITIAL entry to BAA shows at the appropriate level as follows: Dogs which currently compete in Grade 4 or above (KC) by virtue of handlers wins with another dog may enter at one level below PRIMARY. INITIAL entry levels are: KC Grade 1 = INTRODUCTORY KC Grade 2 = PRIMARY KC Grade 3* = PRIMARY or NOVICE KC Grade 4 = NOVICE KC Grade 5* = NOVICE or GRADUATE KC Grade 6 = GRADUATE KC Grade 7 = MASTERS *Grades 3 & 5 have a choice of entry level. All NEW DOGS may enter INTRODUCTORY Level. For dogs not jumping their regulation BAA jump height they can be entered in either: NFC - for dogs of any age that for whatever reason are not able to jump at their designated jump height as specified in height definitions. Competitors may enter NFC in any appropriate level. Or alternatively: Veteran for dogs of 7 years of age and over. Choice of jump height 9, 13.75 or 17.75ins. No veteran dog will be permitted to jump higher than 17.75ins. Once a dog enters BAA Veteran it will be expected to remain there for the remainder of its agility career and will not be permitted in future shows at Introductory, Primary, Novice, Graduate or Masters.
