Can you DIG IT Unaffiliated Agility Competition Open to all grades ON Sunday 13 th May AT Dig it Showground Newcastle Road, Betchton, Sandbach, Cheshire CW11 2TG Show opens 8.00am Judging commences at 8.30am This year our Can you Dig It unaffiliated show will be running on the same weekend as our Dig It UKA show. If you would like to do both shows camping is available @ 5 per night. You can obtain our UKA schedule from the UKA website. The UKA shows will also have pay on the day classes for non UKA members in the afternoon. There will also be a companion dog show taking place on the showground on the Sunday. The agility and jumping courses will be run twice by each dog and the best run of the two will count towards the awards. There will also be an option to run NFC. ENTRIES: We would prefer entries and payment to be sent in advance, although we will also accept entries on the day. The closing date for advance entries is the 1 st of May. Schedule of classes Levels category 1) Beginners, Intermediate and Advanced. Awards will be combined for height categories including (Toy, Small and Medium) and (Standard and Large). Heights may be split, depending on the number of entries. Level Beginners Intermediate Advanced Definition Open to KC grades 1-2. (there will be no weaves or seesaw for this level) Open to KC grades 3-4. You may also choose to run at this level if you dog runs at novice or above at UKA or BAA Open to KC grades 5-7. You may also choose to run at this level if you dog runs at senior or above at UKA or graduate or above at BAA. 2) Anysize/veteran awards will be split for this class. The veteran class is for dogs over 7 years of age and the anysize class is aimed towards dogs which cannot jump their KC height due for reasons such as injury or inexperience. It is up to the owner as to which height they jump their dogs at. Nb: The course for Anysize and veterans will be the same as the beginners course but with lowered height contact equipment. Classes 1) Jumping x 2 runs 2) Agility x 2 runs 3) Helter Skelter x 1 run There will also be a practice ring available during the morning and possibly some other pay on the day classes if time permits. Heights Toy For dogs measuring 11 inches (~260mm) or under at the withers. Jump height 10. Small For dogs measuring 13.75 inches (~350mm) or under at the withers. Jump height 14 Medium For dogs measuring over 13.75 inches (~350mm) and measuring 17 inches (~430mm) or under at the withers. Jump height 18 Standard For dogs measuring over 17 inches (~430mm) and measuring 20 inches (~510mm) or under at the withers. Jump height 22. Large For dogs measuring over 17 inches (~430mm) at the withers. Jump height 26. NB: Toy and standard heights are optional, the handler may choose to jump their normal KC height (small/large) if they prefer. Running NFC: We are happy for any handlers to run their dogs not for competition. However to be fair to those running for competition we ask that you do not use food in the ring and that you either run both runs NFC or your second run. It is not possible to run the first run NFC and the second for competition as this may give and unfair advantage. Please inform the scrimer if you are running NFC. Helping All handlers are asked to please help for one hour during the day. Please tick your preference on the entry form, all helpers will be entered in a helpers raffle.
Rules 1. All persons entering this show do so at their own risk. Whilst every care will be taken, DIG IT Dog Training Club and the Owners of the show ground will not accept any responsibility for loss, damage or injury to persons, dogs or property, 2. We reserve the right to refuse entries 3. Competitors must sign the declaration form. One per handler these will also be available on the day. 4. Dogs under 16 months of age on the date of the show may not compete. 5. Bitches in season are not permitted to enter the show. 6. The mating of bitches within the grounds of the show is not permitted. 7. No person shall carry out punitive correction or harsh handling of a dog within the show premises. 8. Dogs may wear a flat collar when competing. The collar must NOT have attachments. 9. Marking of faults will be as per kennel club rules 10. Handlers must not take toys or treats in the ring unless running NFC. 11. A dog will be withdrawn from competition if it is: a bitch in season; suffering from any infectious or contagious disease; causing problems to other competitors within the show premises or is unsound and likely to suffer further if they continue competing. 12. The judges decision is final. 13. Judges may run their own dog for competition when they are not scheduled to judge 14. Please clean up after your dogs, bins will be provided. 15. Have fun!! Directions to the venue: FROM THE M6 NORTH & SOUTH; (Junction 17) Leave the M6 at Jnc. 17. Follow A534 (old mill road) towards Sandbach to the set of traffic lights at the crossroads. At the lights turn left on the A533 (the hill) towards Stoke on Trent and Alsager. Go over the motorway bridge and the show is clearly signposted on the left hand side. Follow the tarmac road with passing places and the show is in the large field at the end of the road on the left. Please park as directed. *** SAT NAVS the post code takes you to the New Inn Pub - the show is before the Pub crossroads on the left hand side and will be clearly signposted. FROM THE M6 SOUTH; (Junction 16) Leave the M6 at Jnc. 16. Take the 2 nd exit off roundabout towards Alsager the B5078. At the traffic lights at end of road turn right onto B5077. Continue on this road through centre of Alsager till you reach a cross roads and traffic lights on the A50. Turn left onto A50 Knutsford Road. About 1mile turn left towards Rode Heath and Sandbach. The Show will be clearly marked from here, Past the New Inn crossroads on the right and the show is held in the large field on the right. Follow the tarmac road with passing places and the show is in the large field at the end of the road on the left. Please park as directed. FROM THE EAST (A50) Follow A50 till the roundabout after the Britannia Stadium. Take the 2 nd exit onto the A500 and follow towards the M6 north jct 16. Leave the A500 at the M6 junction signposted Alsager the B5078 - follow the instructions from the M6 south.
