East of England Championship Show 8 th July 2018 Shetland Sheepdogs I would like to thank the committee for inviting me to judge this well run show and would also like to thank my stewards who kept the ring running smoothly and the exhibitors for their lovely entry and for taking my decisions in good faith. The only downside was that angulation does not seem to be getting any better in that there were far too many exhibits with adequate shoulder and rear angulation which seems to be becoming the norm which is a shame as these dogs would not be able to fulfil what they were bred for in that they could not do a proper days work. Also toplines needs to be watched as level toplines seems to be getting a rarity as well. MPD (4,0) 1.BPD & BPIB French s Lindfern Light Sabre - Very Nice S/W, of 7 months who has a very Pretty Expression, Lovely dark eye very nice wedge, flat skull, neat well tipped ears, lovely long neck, leading to good forehand construction, lovely straight well boned legs with neat feet, Deep brisket. Level topline, good spring of rib, nice sweep over loin, low set tail of correct length, good hind angulation, neat feet and low hocks, moved straight fore and aft and with drive in profile. Pity he missed the puppy group. 2. Aaron s Shelridge Toastmaster -Another very nice B/M of just 6 months. Lacks coat, but what he has is of a lovely silvery blue and well marbled.
