A listing fee as established by The Canadian Kennel Club must accompany the entry of a dog for which a Canadian Kennel Club individual registration number or Event Registration Number (ERN) is not shown on the entry form. 14.7 It shall be the duty and obligation of the test-giving club to see that a judge, club official, volunteer, or any participant at an event held under these rules, is not subject to indignities of any kind. The Tracking Test Committee Chair shall promptly report to the CKC any infringement of this regulation, and the CKC shall have the authority to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report indicating that this has occurred. A dog must have attained a Canadian Tracking Dog title (TD) to be eligible to enter an Urban Tracking Dog Test (UTD). Every dog entered must be 6 months of age or older on the first day of the test. All dogs must be kept on a leash and under control at all times. Dogs not officially entered in the Test will not be permitted on the test grounds. Bitches in season will be allowed to compete but will be assigned the last track. Exhibitors should note that the CKC does not confer a title on a dog until it is registered individually in the club s records. Draw Sites will open at 8:30 am. Drawing for tracks will commence at 9:00 am. Judging will commence at 9:30 am. There will be coffee and doughnuts available when the sites open. A potluck meal will be available after the tests are completed each day. An entry of a non-titled dog will be given preference over a titled dog in the class in which the titled dog has already been awarded that title. As with any other trial, once the closing date has passed, your entry is forfeit unless you can produce a medically viable reason (doctor or veterinarian's official note) to allow a withdrawal. The rulebook does allow for moveups (rule 6.1.15 (a)) but only before the closing date. Since priority is given to entrants who do not have a title, notification that a title has been earned would drop the prospective entrant to the bottom of the alternate list (supposing that all spots fill). Entries will be refunded to those on the ALTERNATE list who did not participate in the test. The Sudbury & District Kennel Club will use all reasonable care to guarantee the safety of dogs and persons at the test.
