The non-member participation fee is paid in any year a title is earned and covers all titles & dogs owned by that individual. In order for the title to be awarded, the non-member will have a choice to either become a CKC member or pay the non-member participation fee. Failure to comply within 30 days of notification will result in the title being withheld and the dog cannot be moved up to the next level. This fee applies only to dogs wholly owned by non-member residents of Canada & is not applicable to CKC members. Exhibitors must abide by errors made in entering their dogs regardless of how or by whom the entries were made. A listing fee as established by The Canadian Kennel Club must accompany the entry of a dog for which a Canadian Kennel Club individual registration number or Event Registration Number (ERN) is not shown on the entry form. 14.7 It shall be the duty and obligation of the test-giving club to see that a judge, club official, volunteer, or any participant at an event held under these rules, is not subject to indignities of any kind. The Tracking Test Committee Chair shall promptly report to the CKC any infringement of this regulation, and the Discipline Committee shall have the authority to take such action as it deems fit on receipt of a report indicating that this has occurred. A dog must have attained a Canadian Tracking Dog title (TD) to be eligible to enter an Urban Tracking Dog Test (UTD). Every dog entered must be 6 months of age or older on the first day of the test. All dogs must be kept on a leash and under control at all times. Dogs not officially entered in the Test will not be permitted on the test grounds. Bitches in season will be allowed to compete but will be assigned the last track. Exhibitors should note that the CKC does not confer a title on a dog until it is registered individually in the club s records. Draw site will open at 8:30 am. Drawing for tracks will commence at 9:00am. Judging will commence at 9:30am. There will be coffee and doughnuts available when the sites open. A potluck meal will be available after the tests are completed each day. An entry of a non-titled dog will be given preference over a titled dog in the class in which the titled dog has already been awarded that title. Tracks will be a combined total for the day. 1 TD = 1 UTD 1 TDX = 1 UTDX 1 TDX = 2 TD 1 UTDX = 2 UTD Only written withdrawals received before June 6 th, 2012 will be accepted. As with any other trial, once the closing date has passed, your entry is forfeit unless you can produce a medically viable reason (doctor or veterinarian's official note) to allow a withdrawal. The rulebook does allow for moveups (rule 6.1.15 (a)) but only before the closing date. Since priority is given to entrants who do not have a title, notification that a title has been earned would drop the prospective entrant to the bottom of the alternate list (supposing that all spots fill). Entries will be refunded to those on the ALTERNATE list who did not participate in the test. The Sudbury & District Kennel Club will use all reasonable care to guarantee the safety of dogs and persons at the test. Neither the Club nor any individual accepts any responsibility whatsoever for the safety of any dog or person.
