CKCSC Trudy Brown Albrecht Memorial Rally 10/13/2017 Indianapolis, Indiana Elaine Berwick, Merrylaine Cavaliers, UK I would like to thank the CKCSC, USA for the honour of judging the Trudy Albrecht Memorial Rally show on the Friday of the National weekend. The show was hosted by the Cavaliers of the Midwest, and chaired by Holly Young May and Kathy Gentil. The ballroom was transformed into a Halloween extravaganza by Kathy, Holly and their team. I am sure I speak for many when I say all your hard work was truly appreciated. A special thank you as well to my ring steward Kathy Tegg. I would like to thank the exhibitors who travelled from far and wide to attend the show. There were some lovely representatives of the breed shown. The main winners in the dog entry stood out, but as in previous times when I have judged in the USA, the bitch entry was teeming with quality from the Junior Puppy right through to the best Open Bitch class I have ever judged, which had an entry of 8 worthy champions. Presentation overall was first class. However, I was disappointed in the lack of quality in the wholecolours, especially in the boys. However, I was very pleasantly surprised in the quality of the Tricolour entry, especially the two Tricolour classes, which had quality right down the line. Thank you all again, it will be a weekend I will never forget. Elaine Berwick JUNIOR PUPPY DOG (1) 1. KELLENE WHEN IRISH EYES ARE SMILING (Carter) Lovely ruby baby to start the show. Very raw, but shows lots of promise. I loved his sweet expression, dark eyes and excellent pigment. Bone was just right for his size. Nice rich colour to his coat. He moved well both ways. Will watch his future with interest. BEST PUPPY DOG IN SHOW SENIOR PUPPY DOG (3) 1. BROOKHAVEN I M A BELIEVER (Ayers/Martz) Blenheim boy, immature, but lots of promise. Just needs some time but it s all there. Soundly made and just the right amount of bone. Most gorgeous eyes. Well marked, moved steadily and held his topline well on the move. Beautifully presented. BEST SENIOR PUPPY IN SHOW 2. STARMARC MAN ABOUT TOWN (Rezowalli/Hooper) Pretty Tricolour boy, good tan in all the right places. Good bone for his age. Good shoulder placement. Lots of promise

3. RANLYN'S DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER (Bragg) More mature Blenheim boy, fuller head than those above. Full ears, dark eyes and excellent pigment, coat in lovely condition, level topline. Just right amount of bone for his size. GRADUATE PUPPY DOG (6) 1. BRAEMARRA RUBEN (Gentil) Had seen this boy in the UK, and he is maturing into a lovely boy and has come on leaps and bounds. Well marked Blenheim, shorter in foreface than I prefer but loved his dark eyes and excellent pigment. Compact size and shape. He moved around the ring with ease going well both ways. 2. HUNTCREST MY GUY (Weiner Pope) I preferred the head of this Blenheim boy to the one above. Lovely gentle expression with dark eyes and good pigment. He has an abundance of coat which made him look much heavier than he actually is when you get your hands on him. He moved very steadily around the ring and used his hindquarters to advantage. 3. DARANE HAPPY SONG (Markijohn/Kates) Black-and-Tan, slightly longer muzzle than those above, level topline, rich tan, good pigment. 4. ELLEMICH THE SINNER (Hansen/Chapman/Ireland) Beautifully presented richly marked Blenheim boy. He has a masculine head, good reach of neck, and level topline which he held well on the move. BRED BY EXHIBITOR DOG (5) Good class 1. CH LINRICA MILAN, JW (Liu) Blenheim, nice head, dark eye, gentle expression, clear muzzle. Eye catching on the move. Good shoulders and level topline which he held well on the move. Profuse coat, which was beautifully presented. 2. CH ALMEARA EXTRA EXTRAORDINARY, JW (Whitmire) Another lovely boy. I liked his size and shape. Good bone and not overdone in anyway. Moved well both ways with ease. Lovely gentle expression, desired lozenge. 3. CROSSBOW HORTON HEARS A WHO (Schiffman/Mittleman) Blenheim boy, not as compact as those above. Nice head framed by full ears. Good bone and he held his level topline well on the move. 4. CH TUDORR RHYTHM N BLUES, JW (Mixon) Heavier marked richly coloured Blenheim boy. Attractive head framed, by well set ears. Moved well and shown to advantage. Good spring of rib. He had a super day on the Saturday, huge congratulations to his owner.

JUNIOR AMERICAN BRED DOG (3) 1. CHADWICK TELLTALE AUTHOR, JW (Eckersley) Easy winner of this class, shorter muzzle than I normally like, but his other attributes more than made up for this. He is an ideal shape. Large illustrious eyes, excellent pigment. Good neck and shoulder placement, level topline. An exciting youngster. Delighted to award him an AWARD OF MERIT. 2. ALMEARA I BELIEVE (Parente) Larger size than first, but everything is in proportion. Liked his rich colour and his coat is just coming through. Moved well both ways with plenty of drive. 3. CHADWICK SHOOTING UPWARDS OF CEILIMOR (McCarty/Eckersley) Longer cast Blenheim boy than the first. Liked his head with gorgeous dark eyes, gentle expression and excellent pigment. Level topline and he moved with ease going around the ring. Coat beautifully presented. 3. WOODSONG BIG EASY (Nel/Kaiser) Plainer head than those above. He has dark eyes and good pigment. He moved well around the ring, holding his topline. 4. ORCHARDHILL STRAIGHT TALK (Hill) Happy Blenheim boy who was very attentive to his handler. He was finer in head, good pigment. I liked his size and his overall shape. Right amount of bone for his size. SECOND GENERATION AMERICAN BRED DOG (3) 1. CLARMARIAN HEIR APPARENT (Young May) Honest Blenheim boy who was beautifully presented. Gentle expression, clear muzzle and dark eyes. He moved very steadily going around the ring. Good neck and shoulder placement leading onto a level topline. Won this class with ease.

2. CANYONCREST TO THE LEADER OF THE BAND (DuRoss) Younger Tricolour boy who is beautifully marked tan in all the right places. He was a smaller size than first, but everything is in proportion. He moved well going around the ring. 3. OGGBRAE DON OTTAVIO (Bales/Bales) Six year old Blenheim boy. Gentle kind expression, good pigment and eye colour. Good spring of ribs and level topline, which he held well on the move. SPECIAL LIMIT BLENHEIM DOG (2) 1. I was thrilled to watch him gain his championship on Sunday - congratulations 2. TRUELEGANCE PISTOLS AT DAWN (Ogle) Another lovely boy with a gentle expressison. Super ears. Richly coloured tan in all the right places. I liked his size and bone. He moved very well going around the ring. Unlucky to meet first today. 3. SERAPHAVEN RETURN OF THE KING (Gogol) More evenly marked than those above. He had good bone and was a nice size. He had a pretty head with dark eyes and good pigment. Lovely rich tan. 4. CHADWICK ACE OF SPADES AT HUDSONVIEW, JW (Glynn/Glynn) Lighter marked boy than those above and his coat was beautifully presented. He has a good reach to neck and a level topline, which he held well on the move. He has good bone for his size. Made up a quartet of lovely examples of the breed.

SPECIAL LIMIT RUBY DOG (2) 1. SNOWBIRD HOCUS POCUS (Miller) Liked the size and shape of this boy. Not exaggerated in anyway. Rich colour to his coat. Nice head, excellent pigment. CH CHADWICK JET SETTER AT HUDSONVIEW, JW (Glynn/Glynn) I was splitting hairs between this boy and the 1 st. I preferred Jet Setter s expression, it is so soft, with dark liquid eyes, and excellent pigment. His head was framed by well set ears. He is a different type to above, but another lovely boy who matches the breed standard well. Shown so sympathetically by his owner. Some today were very excitable but not this lovely boy. Good neck and shoulders, he moved very steadily and has a good turn of stifle. I was very happy to award him RESERVE WINNERS DOG 3. CH BROOKHAVEN THE DREAM LIVES ON AT FINNICKYSKYE (Utych/Utych) Another lovely boy. Evenly marked on his body. I liked his size. Nice head, good pigment. He didn t have the presence of those above but he has a lot to like. Moved well going around the ring. 4. CH FORESTCREEK HEART OF ROCK N ROLL, JW (Gregory/Cline) Smaller size Blenheim boy, but his bone is in proportion to his size. Unlike myself, he could do with putting on a bit of weight. Coat in good condition and presented well. Liked his head, he had good pigment and well set ears.

SENIOR OPEN DOG (2) 1. KARVALE BROOKHAVEN FINN (Utych) Both of these boys are lovely examples of our breed. First was a 10 year old Blenheim boy, gorgeous soft expression, big dark eyes and lozenge. I liked his size and shape. His movement could show some of the younger ones a thing or two. Delighted to make him BEST VETERAN IN SHOW 2. CH CHANTISMERE CAST A SPELL ON CORDUKE (Mulligan) Very close between these two. His head is so typical of his breeding. His coat was a lovely rich colour and he is well marked. Pretty head, nice dark eyes and pigment. She moved well both ways. 3. RIVERVIEW VOODOO DOLL (Barrois) Unlike the ones above, this little Blenheim girl was a bit calmer. Another one with lots to like. Evenly marked on her body. Just right amount of bone for her size. She moved very well. 4. CHADWICK SAY YES TO THE DRESS (Eckersley) Very attentive to her handler. Another well marked Blenheim.
