MARYLAND STATE POULTRY FANCIERS ASSOCIATION FORTY-SECOND ANNUAL SHOW Fairgrounds in Frederick,MD November 3 rd & 4 th 2012 The MSPFA invites you to exhibit your birds with us. The fairgrounds is located on East Patrick St, just off Interstate 70 and US Route 40. As usual we will have food and beverages available. We haven t had a show superintendent for some time and now we would like to introduce you to the two we have selected. They are Paul Gilroy and Don Schrider. TESTING OF BIRDS: All birds must be tested for Pullorum-Typhoid within a year and for Avian Influenza within the past ninety days. The sale of untested birds is prohibited. JUDGES: Our judges are Tom Roebuck from VA, Richard Hickman from NJ and Mike Wasylkowski from MD. Additional judges will be a ENTRIES: Entries close Oct 15 th or when cooping capacity is reached. Entry fees are $3.00 per bird. Double coops (for large fowl only) are $6.00 and must accompany entry. Make checks payable to Kay StAmour, 2017 Castleton Rd,. Darlington, MD 21034 SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: All birds must be cooped in by 9:00 on Sat Nov 3 rd. For your convenience the show hall will be open about 4 PM to 8:00 PM Friday. The show hall will open at 7:00 AM Sat. Judging to start at 9:00. The show will end Sunday at 9:00 or immediately following the short awards ceremony. CAMPER HOOKUPS: The Fairgrounds charges $15.00 per night. Please pay when you coop in. MOTEL INFORMATION: Days Inn 301-694-6600 is the headquarters for the show. They offer a discount for those showing with us. Be sure to say you are with the MD poultry show. JUNIOR SHOW: Be sure to indicate on the entry form that you are showing as a junior. We will also be having a Junior Showmanship Contest on Saturday. We hope to see all you juniors participating in this. Please sign up at the show. Please note that Showmanship classes will be held at 9:00 Saturday.

Entry fee is the same for as for regular classes. Be sure to enter them on the entry blank as Who Jumped the Fence and whether large fowl, bantam, waterfowl, guinea or pigeon.
SILENT AUCTION: We will be having a silent auction again this year. We would like to have donations of quality birds for this event. Please consider our show for some good birds. We are in need of good birds to be donated for this. Thanking you in advance. PIGEON SHOW: We decided to add Pigeons to our entry last year. It seemed to be well attended so we are having them again. Pigeons do not have to be tested and it will be a one day only show on Saturday. Todd McWilliams has agreed to be the show secretary for this event. Send your entries to me and I will see he gets them. SERAMA TABLE TOP SHOW: For the first time we will be having the Seramas strutting their stuff. It should be very interesting. SOCIAL HOUR: The building will re-open Sat night at 7:00 to provide a social hour for any exhibitors wishing to attend. OUR THANKS... DIRECTIONS; The fairgrounds are located on Rt. 144 which can be reached from I70 or US 40 if coming from the East, West or South. If coming from the North follow US 15 to 144. Enter the fairgrounds and the buildings are the second and third on the right. Go around the right side of the buildings for parking and entrance. No parking in front of these buildings.
