Donations will be appreciated for: Raffle Chinese Auction Silent Auction ***Birds donated for the silent auction MUST include at least a male/female pair*** No all male groups allowed Help with setting up for the show and cleaning up afterwards is greatly appreciated! NEW BIRD RAFFLE FOR 2016 SHOW We are considering trying an idea next year that would replace our silent auction. The way it works is this: exhibitors are invited to donate good quality breeding pairs and/or trios of birds that would formulate the contents of a raffle. This group of donated birds would be judged as a separate entity by the judges before the standard show judging would start. It would not necessarily have to follow the Standard of Perfection because the bird pairs/trios would be judged strictly as to their breeding potential. Therefore, someone could donate good birds of a breed or color that is not necessarily recognized by the SOP. The first and second place pair or trio would then win a monetary prize to be determined. Then the birds are raffled as done in a Chinese auction with tickets costing $1 each. We are thinking of trying this at our 2016 FLFC show, so we are asking that maybe for next year, could you please save some birds that could be used for this purpose? We would appreciate any feedback on this. You can contact Charlie Casper, at casper3333@verizon.net or 315-255-1982.
