If you have any questions/concerns, please feel free to contact any of the board members, we are listed on the front page of the Barking Times. Thanks for all those who came out to the Christmas Party. It was quite the turn out and I hope everyone enjoyed the night. Our next session will be during the winter months. Hopefully we will have a mild winter but sometimes it may become necessary to cancel classes. If classes are canceled you will receive an email no later than 3:00 PM that day. Please make sure we have your correct, current email address. Please remember to clean up after your pet, inside and out, and if you have to clean up after them inside, please remember to put the used material in the outside container. Thanks and I hope everyone has a memorable and enjoyable holiday season. GENERAL MEETING AUGUST 8, 2018 Steve Wheeler, President, called the meeting to order at 7:12 P.M. Sharon Cullman moved for the dispensing of the reading of the minutes; Sheila Boneham seconded, and the motion carried. TREASURER S REPORT Vanessa Scott presented the Treasurer's report. The club currently has $68, 488.65 in various accounts. The profit from the May Obedience Trial was $1285.71. The profit from Tracking is $900.55.The report was approved as read. Vanessa stated that she will be changing banks soon. CORRESPONDING SECRETARY Co- Secretaries Trista Miller and Katie Sweeney reported that there are seven openings in the 7:00 P.M. Public Class. Ten puppies have enrolled in Puppy Class. There are five openings in the 8:15 P.M. class. Katie, Trista, and Bree all view the applications. 1 st VICE PRESIDENT Sheila Dick was not in attendance. Steve reported that judges for the May 2019 Obedience Trial have been hired. 2 nd VICE PRESIDENT Kelly Urick stated that Bonnie will be ordering from J and J next session. AGILITY DOT Chuck Edwards reported that there are openings in the After Fundamentals and Premier classes. CLUB MEMBER DOT Dean Lund reported that classes are almost full for the next session. PUBLIC CLASS DOT Bree reported that FWOTC will be offering another morning class this session at 11:30 A.M. Tuesdays. She will be compiling a list of volunteers to teach and assist future sessions. There will be two Puppy classes next session: one Beginner class and one Advanced class. TRACKING DOT There will be a Variable Surface Tracking Test on September 30. Entry forms are available on the web site. Questions should be directed to Marlene Hill at hmhill@msn.com. PRESIDENT PICNIC: Steve thanked Deb Gropp for organizing the games at the club picnic on Saturday, August 4. at Kreiger Park. HARLAN DAYS: Steve thanked club members who participated in the Agility demonstration and the Breed Showcase on Saturday, August 4 th in Harlan. Sharon Cullman suggested that FWOTC members wear red bandanas next year. PHONE: The telephone in the storage room will be switching off soon. It will be used only for outgoing emergency calls.

Rally Advanced QS 100 for 1st place both Sat & Sun NEW TITLE, RA Grad Open QS 193 and 196 1/2 both for 1st place NEW TITLE, GO CONGRATULATIONS to Cory Dold s Dalmatian, Daisy! Daisy finished her AKC Conformation Championship at the Old Fort Cluster. CONGRATULATIONS to Kate Barton s Flat-Coat, London! London completed her AKC Companion Dog Excellent title (CDX) in November at the Old Fort Cluster and Muncie OTC. UCH SN U-CD Fox Creek Fireside By The Thames, CDX, GN, SWA, SHDA. CONGRATULATIONS to Kate Barton s Flat-Coat, Carly! Carly completed her AKC Advanced Nosework title (SWA) at the Kalamazoo trials in late October, then finished her Beginner Novice title (BN) in November. She also went BOW/BOS for some Championship points at the Old Fort Cluster. She is now NN Grousemoor Wintersong, BN, SWA, SHDN. CONGRATULATIONS to Carol Sorg s Doberman, Lexus! U-CH, U-CDX Lyndobe s Lexus V Lynmar UDX 2, OM 4, GO, BN, CGC, WAC, RATN (Lexus) At the DPCA Regionals 2nd place all breed with a 199 out of Open B. 1st place was Bridget Carlson with a perfect 200. The DPCA Regional just Dobermans at the same show, HIT with 199 on 10/7/18. Utility B 4th in All Breed obedience. utility B Dobermans only 2nd place. 10/8/18 DPCA National 1st in Utility 196 and 4th Open B 196 received High Combined. 10/10/18 Lexus won the Top Twenty Obedience Competition, being the best out of the 12 Dobermans that showed out of the top twenty finalists in the country. Very proud of Lexus. CONGRATULATIONS to Carol Sorg s Doberman, Ziva! At the DPCA Regional on 10/6/18 Ziva placed 1st in Utility B, 195.5. Highest scoring Champion. All breed lost run off for 4th place to a golden. 10/7/18 DPCA Regional Open B placed 3rd Dobermans only, score 197. No placement in the all breed obedience. 10/8/18 DPCA National Ziva placed 2nd with a 197.5 CONGRATULATIONS to Carol Sorg s Doberman, Livia! Livia shown by handler Ann White placed 2nd in the Regional and 4th at National in American Bred class. I showed Liv in the owner/handler sweepstakes and got 2nd place in a class of 12 in adult black class. Liv to date has 8 points towards her championship with both majors at 19 mos. of age.

Thanks, Cory Dold PRACTICE AND CLUB BUILDING The building is open for obedience practice only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9 am to 6 pm. You may practice at this time without contacting anyone. When you go out, please sign the book and adjust the heating/ac as needed. Please be courteous to others and use only one ring at a time. When you leave, please put away any equipment you ve used, readjust the heating/ac and turn the lights out as you leave. Concerns, Issues, Problems When it comes to resolving any problem, concern or issue, it is important that the appropriate persons are notified and involved. Please use the partial list below to help you resolve any issue. If you re not sure who to contact, you may get in touch with any board member and we will do our best to refer you to the correct person. Public Night, Obedience Night, and Agility Night concerns should be brought to the attention of the appropriate D.O.T. The D.O.T. will then work with the club member(s), teachers, board members. It is important that everyone involved be aware, communicating and working for resolution. It will be a smaller class so you will get more time to work sequences. This class is limited to six dogs. First come first serve. 11:00-12:00 - BEGINNING AGILITY (morning) Instructor: Deb Gropp This class is for dog that are not yet running agility in competition. You will be introduced to all phases of agility. Introduction to all contacts. This is a great place to start your training. This class is limited to six dogs. First come first serve. 5:30-6:30 - AFTER FUNDAMENTALS Instructor: Steve Wheeler Getting ready to run agility this is the class for you. Continue you work on contacts and weave pole. With more work on your team work with your dog. More sequence work. This is a great class to continue your work with your dog. 6:30-7:30 - NOVICE Instructors: Natasha Kersjes and Chuck Edwards For dogs that are running agility or dogs that are ready to run in competition. You will be working on all obstacles to help you work with your dog to become a team. This class is limited to 10 dogs. 7:30-8:30 - INTERMEDIATE Instructors: Natasha Kersjes and Sheila Dick For dogs competing at the Intermediate level. This class will help you to advance to the next level The class is limited to 10 dogs. 8:30 to 9:30 - EXCELENT & MASTERS Instructors: Natasha Kersjes and Sheila Dick For dogs competing in Excellent and Master classes. We will show you how you can improve your handling and skill level. We all need a little help this is it.
