The complete rule book is available to download from the UKC website: www.ukcdogs.com Refund Policy: THERE SHALL BE NO REFUND for entries withdrawn after the closing date or in the event a dog and/or handler are dismissed from competition, regardless of reason for such dismissal. A dog or handler who suffers an injury and/or illness or bitches that come into season after the closing date may be eligible for a 50% refund of their total entry fee. Written request for refund must be made to the Trial Secretary BEFORE the end of each event. Please provide documentation from your veterinarian/physician. There will be no refunds if the trial has to be cancelled for any reason. Substitution Policy: No substitution of dogs will be allowed. All dogs must pass a Pre Trial (PT) prior to being eligible to enter an element trial. VK9SC will accept Day of Trial entries for element searches for the teams that pass the morning Pre Trial as long as element limits have not already been reached. If a dog has passed the NACSW Odor Recognition Test (ORT) for the odor being tested they DO NOT have to pass a UKC Pre Trial. However, a copy of the record of the ORT pass MUST accompany the entry form. A clear photo copy is acceptable. Without proof of an ORT pass, the team must enter and pass the Pre Trial. GENERAL INFORMATION FOR FILLING OUT THE ENTRY FORMS A and B SECTIONS: Exhibitors must specify on the entry form if they are going to compete in the A or B section for each Element. Both sections will have the exact same search. If not indicated on the entry form, the entry will be placed in the B class. The only exception is Pre-Trial entries where there is no A/B classes. A Section is for teams that are completely new to the sport and do not have a title in either UKC or an equivalent title in another organization, such as NACSW or AKC. B Section is for all other teams. If you have an equivalent title in another Nosework organization, such as NACSW or AKC, you must compete in the B Section. If you are a licensed or professional dog trainer, Nosework instructor, or a person licensed to officiate in Nosework in any organization you must compete in the B section whether or not you have a Nosework title. Once you receive a title you can continue to show in the B section.
Entry Forms: The official UKC Nosework Entry form must be used for all entries. Both pages must be submitted. Please inform the trial secretary if you anticipate earning any titles at the trials and if you are willing to volunteer for any elements in which you are not entered.
