GETTING TO THE SHOW ON ARRIVAL Please be aware that the entrance to the venue is just round a bend on a VERY fast moving road. You need to get off the road speedily. A Steward will direct you to the next steward who will be able to take the time to direct you to your area. To make this process efficient please put an A4 sheet on your windscreen, clearly visible with a full sized A, B or E on it. A is the main camping field, B is the overflow field and E is the event field. A & E are on the left hand side of the road, Field B is on the right hand side. Stewards will be wearing high viz vests. Field A stewards Yellow; Field B stewards Orange and Field E stewards Red. Main entrance: Fields A & E. E Field Steward Stewards at top of each lane Disabled Day Parking 1 2 3 4 Entrance Steward Holding area/day parking Field A has a one way system for safety purposes. Please remember that no arrivals for camping in Fields A & B can be placed before 1pm on Thursday 17 th August. You will be directed to a holding area and for the safety of everyone released by stewards to join the lanes in order to be directed to your camping area. There is a 5mph limit at all times on all fields. There is only ONE Field B entrance and exit, you cannot use the far gate at the end of fields A & B due to the possibility of damage by bottoming. Please pull in right off the road up to the steward who will direct you to your camping area.

CAMPING AT THE SHOW CAMPING PITCHES The camping field will be marked out with the number of pitches that you have booked with your entry. There are a large number of people camping and a huge effort is involved in marking out the site to accommodate everyone. Please don t expect to camp if you haven t booked and please keep to your designated pitches. TOILETS Portaloos will be available throughout the 3 day event. To try and keep these as nice as possible and to avoid unnecessary servicing we would kindly ask people with their own facilities to use them and the elsan point, leaving the portaloos for those under canvas. EVENT MARQUEE The event marquee will hold all of the BFA championship presentations and will be a venue to celebrate the day s racing with evening entertainment on both Friday and Saturday evening, finishing no later than midnight. The bar is card only. SHOWERS A small number of showers will be available on site over the 3 day event and will be available between 6am and 11pm. ELSAN POINT Please use the available elsan points for safe disposal of your toilet waste. IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE RIVER Please note that the venue is next to a large river running alongside both the event field and camping area. The current can be strong and at this time of year the water can be quite deep. Swimming is strictly prohibited.

OTHER INFORMATION ENTERTAINMENT Friday night entertainment will be Human Flyball meets School Sports Day more information on the final page. Saturday night entertainment will be a fancy dress disco. This year the theme is The Magical and Mystical! From Harry Potter to Lord of the Rings, from Game of Thrones to... Mystic Meg! As always creative and amusing is the name of the game! There will be photographers on site taking photos so if you do not wish your photo to be taken, please advise a committee member. THE SPIRIT OF FLYBALL AWARD The BFA is an amazing community and we often don t take enough time to appreciate the incredible people that make it what it is. Just pause for a moment, take a step back and have a look; the BFA is a quite remarkable manifestation of community, friendship and support and it is truly amazing that such a large, sophisticated national organisation exists and functions entirely on the goodwill and cohesion of its own members. So, for this year s Championships, the BFA Committee would like to encourage all our members to take the time to look at who makes up their flyball community and appreciate the energy, pride and positivity that exists all around them. We are excited to introduce two new awards, one for each of the Championships, that will capture the essence of flyball and what makes it such a special sport. The fastest dogs, and the most competitive teams will be rewarded with rosettes and trophies, but this is only a part of what the BFA is all about. The new Spirit of Flyball Awards will now also recognise sporting behaviour, inclusivity, friendship, encouragement and fun. We would like you to watch what is going on around you and celebrate the best of the BFA by nominating people, either as an individual, a group or a team, who have made you smile, made your day, or made you appreciate the diverse flyball family you compete with, drink with, laugh with week in week out. If you see something that sums up the spirit of flyball to you, please take the time to fill out one of the nomination forms either from the back of this Welcome Pack or at Admin, telling us what, who, where and when, and put in the ballot box at Champs Admin. The act that best captures the true Spirit of Flyball will be recognised with the presentation of an amazing new award which we hope will become a big feature of this year s Championships and all our Championships to come.
